Review:The story beautifully presents the security of the warm family and the values they passed on of hard work and hope. The art is beautiful, especially the drawings of the mother. The recipient was a 9 year old girl who is passionate about basketball and loved it. She already had one Michael Jordan biography (which is also great) and she liked this one better. Read more
Review:This book is a poorly written piece. It is nothing more than a promotion for the singer. There is no "humanity" in the biography: instead of feeling like I was getting to know the avoidant singer, I was given a sales pitch for an entertainer. I learned some things, but overall, I did not like the book. Read more
Review:Based on the brief description that I read and the few sample pictures that I saw, I assumed this was primarily a photographic book featuring fun pictures of President Obama with children. And yes, while there are a lot of those -- and yes, they are fun and charming and very well photographed -- there is a whole lot more beauty and power and substance to this book, which I would easily recommend to children and their parents.
"Dream Big Dreams" is an inspirational book that offers some ba... Read more
Review:They Really dont want you to read this book. Application of this book to your personal life will give you the key to open doors. The mind is very powerful. Khaled used his mind to drive him to never fail to push his talents inside those doors. I look at it as the "key" was in the slot but he bust the door down at times and it works because "they" didnt want him in. #Majorkey Read more

Review:The year that this charming and very informative book was being written, I had the pleasure of being called upon by the author, Melissa Sweet to lend some assistance and historical data on Tong Sarg, and the legendary Macy balloons. Having based years of archiving the history of Sarg and the balloons, as well as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade- together, we explored the fascinating history of the man know as "Macy's Mister Everything." Sarg's original association with RH Macy & Co. began ... Read more
Review:I purchased this for my niece for Christmas. She is a miniature Jane Goodall in the making, although she has taken up the cause for rhinos. I read through it before I gave wrapped it and it was very interesting and I learned a lot from it! Read more
Review:I thought this book would be more interesting, but it was nothing I haven't heard before. The author keeps repeating how "blunt" she is but I've seen/heard better. I think this book is advice on how to trap a man, not how to meet one and keep them. I felt that the author tried too hard to be this "author that keeps it real."
I think that her advice on being honest is great advice, because I believe it's easier to tell the truth and maybe hurt someone for a little bit, than to lie and get cau... Read more

Review:I had a personal relationship with Jimmy as a result of being the Ex. VP of sales for one of his 23 year sponsors. As a result, I spent considerable time backstage and was allowed an all access credential to the 100 plus concerts I attended. I got to know many of the people closest to Jimmy and with few exceptions (other than Michael Utley, Sunshine Smith and a couple others), none of those folks were even mentioned in this book. As I flipped the pages, I kept waiting for this book to "come toge... Read more
