Review:I actually purchased this little Desk Calendar as a gift for a Team Member. She loves Liz Climo.
I'll share my observations of what this calendar is like:
The print quality is fantastic, the pages pull off perfectly (as in, they don't tear awkwardly in the middle like a check does), and really.. who doesn't love Liz Climo?
If I had to pick apart anything about this calendar, it would be that the illustrations themselves have smaller lettering when they're full-sized... but o... Read more
Review:If a book can keep me involved with the characters and the story line as this one did, I'll recommend it to any one that enjoys a good read. To better understand and appreciate it, I would advise reading the first book in the series. The characters are filling out nicely and I'm looking forward to the next book to see what they get themselves into next. Read more
Review:I only bought the novel because I recognized the author as having been involved in the DragonAge games. I was not disappointed. The characters are quite interesting though one can take only so many lucky happenings in this story. Can't wait to read the others in the series. Read more
Review:Given the amount of stress my wife feels reading baby books, this has been amazingly helpful when I need a little humor to give to my wife who's stressing out because we didn't know she was pregnant for the first 18 weeks, didn't expect to have kids, and really can not care about the babies "colors" everyone keep asking her about. Review:Designed to resemble an old book of manners that a kid in the 1950s may have read, this book is more of a humor book, although it does have some pretty good tips on manners that I'm quite certain everyone would benefit from. Despite the illustrations of children on the cover and throughout the book, and despite it being classified as a "young adult/YA" book, I would *not* consider this a book for kids. There is foul language throughout (hello, look at the title!). It is a great gag gift, thou... Read more
Review:Not so funny. Rehashing old jokes. The guy who ghost-wrote this book is funny, but this book isn't. This just reads like a retelling of familiar jokes from the series with some other nonsense in between.
I've given it three sittings and cannot get more than a few pages through at a time. I'm not laughing.
Sorry gang, this is a failure. Read more
Review:This is another instant classic from The Oatmeal.
Why Grizzly Bears Should Wear Underpants takes a deep look inside some of the unknown reactions of grizzlies to life... or was he talking about humans? Read more
Review:Racistly funny, regardless of actual race, but it's apparently not PC of a person to actually admit that. If you have a sense of humor and can laugh at the truth then this book will be funny. If you're easily offended, just walk away before your feelings are hurt. Read more

Review:Translation: C.J. Hogarth, 143496 words
The first 10 chapters (half the book) have everything that makes a picaresque novel: funny characters, funny adventures and travels. It rolls along at a perfect pace. Gogol is witty and smooth, a suave motor mouth. I wouldn’t say that as a narrator he’s in the way, but he is crowding the reader.
Gogol’s deadpan narrative style is suitable for comedy. The main character, Chichikov describes an acquaintance, Sobakevitch, as “a bear, and not... Read more
