Review:This was my first Tom Robbins experience, having been gifted with the audio book which has 18 sides on cassette tape. It was quite a ride! Parts were so interesting and intriguingly written while other writing just seemed redundant and self indulgent. And where was the plot? Took more than a couple sides to find it. This book kicked me so hard in the bean bag. I immediately felt compelled to run to Amazon and write about it.

The audiobook is narrated by Maddox himself. I like to take a bluetooth loudspeaker and turn it to 10. I put it on the top of buildings so the sound of the audiobook can cascade down to lowly humans.

Review:Great read - can't recommend it highly enough. I found this book in the library when I was starting to run last year. It really encouraged me that I could do it - and I've never run and I'm not what you would call an athletic build. Now I'm hooked, running at least twice a week. I've bought this book for my girl friends who are starting their running journey or who are stalled on their way and I also down loaded it to my kindle.

Review:Clever idea, something of a letdown in the execution.
In typical hypocritical fashion, towards the second half of the book we learn that one character hates guns, another bemoans the availability of guns, and we are then treated to an extended action sequence where guns are used about as much as in a Rambo movie. I would have preferred my Scooby Doo without the author's politics.
