This book was an absolute surprise..Freebies can be "hit or miss" and more often than not, just a series of misses.

Instead, Alvarez has done a great job of creating a strong heroine with an interesting career. Piper is definitely a well - developed character and we get to see her growth throughout the book.

This is a well - written story with interesting secondary characters. Realistic, dysfunctional families abound. Love New Zealand as a setting and looking forward to reading more books by Ms. Alvarez.

I loved this book! Tracey Alvarez has a writing style that draws you in and keeps you there with laugh out loud humour, heart wrenching emotion, and vivid imagery. West and piper have never stopped loving each other, though neither one is keen to admit it, and when they drop their guard and come together they heat up the pages with some seriously hot scenes. There’s also a fantastic cast of characters, quirky individuals, you can’t help but care about. The story is set on New Zealand’s Stewart Island, and with wonderfully lush descriptions, the place becomes a character all its own . What more can I say, I can’t wait to read more in this series!

I received this book free for an honest review. WOW, I loved this book. From the first page I was hooked. Well thought out characters. I fell in love with Piper and West and the rest of characters. You bet I'll be purchasing the rest of the series. If you love romance stories that make the book disappear and the story to live you will love this book. Me Alvarez is a brilliant author.

I really liked the characters and storyline of this book. West and Piper had a history that went back to childhood friends and teenage lovers. A tragic event separated them for 9 years. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves second chance romances.

I really enjoyed reading this book and couldn't put it down once I started it. I feel that the characters were well developed and I have purchased the next 3 books in the series so that I could find out what their stories were. I was a little confused at first about West's attitude towards Piper when she came back after 9 years, when he was the one to push her away but came to understand why as I read through the story.

So glad I discovered Tracey Alvarez. Loved this story. This is not your typical ex-couple reunite and immediately fall back into each others arms. Oh no. Piper and West have to work through some issues before allowing themselves to admit their true feelings. They really have to work at obtaining that HEA. Loved all the characters and the setting. Now, on to more of Due South!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story moved quickly, the characters were likable and just complex enough. The complications were well placed, and the whole book was edited well. The sex scenes were steamy, and were appropriately placed in the story, not just thrown in as readers find in many books.
I'm looking forward to more by Tracey Alvarez.

Love that the author brings you into the lives of these characters! I was touched by these characters of Piper and West and where they have been and where they might go. Can't wait to see more of these characters in this series!

Piper returns to her hometown to help her brother who is in financial trouble. She helps to run her brother's business of providing boot tours. She is a certified diver but in order to keep business going she needs someone to drive the boat. Enter West (Ryan) Piper's old high school crush and the fireworks start. Well written and interesting romance.

Loved it! Tracey Alvarez has succeeded in producing a wonderful, feel good book. I was hooked from the very first page and several times even laughed out loud (I wasn't very popular with DH sleeping soundly beside me). This book has it all, interesting and lovable characters, hilarious one-liners, steamy sex scenes and the ending had me feeling all mushy Well done. I'm off now to read Melting into you... can't wait.

I love this book. Its gut wrenching and so emotional. Its full of pain and deep seeded love. Its strong tiez to family and friends. This book is written so well. I absoulty loved reading this book. Dont pass it up. You will love it too.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. The passion between West and Piper was a amazing. Their rollercoaster romance was crazy and exhilarating. Their family ties were so intertwined that it seemed inevitable that West and Piper would evidently get together permanently. I look forward to reading more of your books.

OMG. This is a great story. The trials and errors of Ryan (West) and Piper is wonderful. I loved this story and would read it over and over again. This is a must read story for sure. I'm sure you would love it'

Detailed and written very well. Only found a few errors throughout the entire book which was a breathe of fresh air. I will admit I wanted to shake the characters quite a few times in this novel for it speaking up but it all worked out for the best in the end. I also like how more about their past intentions with each other came out in the end. Good read.

I loved this book,it has great characters and and a very interesting story..I had a hard time putting it down.I highly recommend it to anyone that likes a sexy contemporary novel. Can't wait to read the next book.

I love reading fiction set in New Zealand, and this book has a distinct New Zealand flavour. Both main characters come across as genuine with their flaws and the baggage from their past. I loved how the diving theme was interwoven naturally into the story. It could have easily been a contrived situation with Piper joining the dive squad, but it all made sense within the plot and subplots.
I loved the quirky and sometimes sarcastic writing style, especially with Piper's voice coming through very strongly. The setting and the Kiwi lifestyle were described beautifully without being overbearing. This was an enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who loves romance and a New Zealand setting.

It has a great feel for family and the love that the characters have for each other are out of this world. The sexy scenes are good too. It is a story about finding yourself and the one you love. In Too Deep went into my FAV collection - I loved it. I like romances set in exotic places like New Zealand. It was a very emotional love story with just the right amount of sex and drama. This is the first of a series and I would recommend it to romance lovers.

I love the Due South inhabitants, they and their island home add so much to the story. Piper and West are both so stubborn, I sometimes wondered of hey would actually admit their love. It was very easy to slip into this world and go along for the ride.

The diving scares and thrills: 4.5 stars. The author successfully mixes small-town cozy with modern romance. This novel is the first book in a series and I will definitely be reading the next one. This story sucked me in right away. So many questions swirled around me as I read, really wanting to know the past issues between Piper and West and not really getting the answers right away. You did from Piper's point of view, but not why West was heartbroken considering he was the one who dumped Piper way back when.

Great story with great characters!

If you enjoy travel, adventure, a sexy lover, will she won't she..... and family drama , this book has it all. We are transported to a "do over", where our heroine is facing down her past . This time she faces down inner demons, an ex-lover, surly and great white sharks!
A truly refreshing and sexy read. Will be back to read more.

Loved the hot/cold relationship between Piper & West and that both their families are such an important part to their story. Living in land locked Indiana, the setting of Stewart Island and south NZ makes me wish I could hop a plane and visit this stunning part of the world! I've just started "Melting Into You" and am anxious to read the entire series (much to my husbands dismay)!

I enjoyed this romance about an on and off romance on a New Zealand island. Piper comes home after being away for nine years. She's back to help her brother pay off his loan on a boat, or lose his home. She encounters her first and only love, West. Sparks fly as they come to terms with the past. I would recommend this for a light, easy read.

Great story and wonderful writing. The authors ability to keep the book in motion and the reader intrigued was well done. I love a book that makes we want to see what happens next. And not to much additional sex information, just enough.

I have read several books by this author and have very much enjoyed every one of them so far. Her writing style is unique. I like the characters and how well she draws you into their own personalities. I would definitely recommend giving this series a try.
