MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - One of the random fantasy books from Kristen Ashley that I hadn't read yet. There is angst that is over in a heartbeat, thank God because I'm not a big fan...and then in the end our hero pushes our heroine away for her own good, a huge pet peeve of mine, and my stomach dropped out. All in all a wonderful story of a genie who is passed down from generation to generation of women & creates beautiful baby Lily, who grows up to be a plain chubby teenager, crying when she wishes for Fazire to create a perfect man for her, straight out of a romance novel, a bad boy alpha male but one she can fix. He must love her beyond all measure & most importantly think she's beautiful. Nathaniel McAllister is in Lily's life for only two weeks before it all falls apart, but Lily knows in her heart Nate is her match. "I'm the man who's going to put your lush body on the back of his bike & take you to my flat. Then I'm going to take every piece of that lovely outfit off that lush body. Then I'm going to take you to my bed and I'm going to memorize, slowly, every inch of your skin. And finally, I'm going to watch you come while I'm inside you. That's who I am." Seven years apart, lies & betrayal & one beautiful daughter born, death & destruction, and now Lily & Nate are back together but neither one will let their guard now that they've loved & lost. Lily has had it when Nate cruelly uses her & pushes her away before their wedding rather than divulge his past. "I don't care anymore. I get it, Nate. I understand. I'm just the plain, silly, hillbilly girl who got infatuated with who she thought was her romantic hero." Fazire finally breaks through to Nate & he runs home to Lily that very minute, spilling his guts & watching in awe as Lily stands proud of the man that Nate become, overcoming his terrible upbringing, growing to be a wonderful man & father. Even little Natasha notices the hurt in Nate's eyes is finally gone! Another fantastic Kristen Ashley book!

Loved it.... Didn't think I would since obviously "genies" are NOT real and I don't like books about things that couldn't be REAL... However it didn't disappoint just like NONE of Kristen Ashley's books NEVER disappoint!!!!

I am new to the romance genre. I only read this book because my wife and I share a kindle prime account and her books appear in my Kindle. I wish I had started reading these things many years ago. They were always there of course, stacked up on the bedside table or tangled in the covers these last forty-two years. But, fool that I am I never read one. I damn sure will now.
The plot is that two people love each other so much that each feels unworthy of the other, inadequate and insecure. Anyone who has ever been in love knows this feeling well. These two people each hide their feelings of inadequacy from each other, each being fearful that their shortcomings will be discovered by the other. This lack of communication deprives them of the opportunity to be reassured, and to reassure each other. From this ensues many misunderstanding and emotional outbursts worthy of a two year old.
Many times in years gone by has my own true love entreated me thus: “Talk to me!” and I am dumbfounded, because I do talk to her. I talk to her about things that matter, politics, religion, advances in science and all that stuff I hear on NPR. I talk to her about food, and music, and gardening, and the way those idiots drive on I-5 (the I-5 if you live in southern California).
After reading this book I understand that she doesn’t want just talk. She wants me to open my heart to reveal to her my inner most angst and primordial fears. She wants to assuage those fears and still that angst with reassurances of her unflagging adoration. Well, you would think bring it on. But you can’t be soothed until you open your heart can you? It takes real courage. Like the kind the guys on the cover with the forty pound six-foot swords and the gleaming pectorals have. So man up read those romance books. I will know I have this down when I recommend them to my fishing buddies.
So, back o the book. Well the plot lacks verisimilitude. The characters are childish. The style is so-so. The grammar is outright weird. She doesn’t know the word “whom” and is confused about “me & I” although she surprised me and got it right near the start of chapter 22. A good editor would be a great help. But, none of that is what the book is about. It is about fun and comedy and wouldn’t it be nice to have a genie of your own. The fact is James Joyce was a lot harder on the Queens English than she ,and I love his work too(she often uses” to” here).
Knight (Unfinished Heroes) (Volume 1) :: Rock Chick Reborn (Volume 9) :: Rock Chick Redemption :: Fairytale Come Alive (Ghosts and Reincarnation Book 4) :: Soaring (The Magdalene Series Book 2)

It made me laugh, sigh, really wanted to seriously smack Nate, cheer Lilly on. Cry, and smile, at the same time it made it hard to read the final chapter. Kristen Ashley you are the BOMB. We need to catch up with this family in the future please, snap?

I must say that I really love Kristen Ashley's work. She does the alpha male like nobody's business, even if they tend not to speak in complete sentences, lol! This book was a little different from her usual fare, and I'm still not sure that the storyline's plausible. No, not the genie part (and how awesome would that be!?) but **SPOILER** how the female lead just sort of runs out of time to notify the family of her father's daughter that the daughter exists. Really? In all those years she never found the time? That, for me, almost ruined the book. That aside, however, I truly did enjoy this book. I won't read it again, but at this price I won't feel guilty about that. If you're searching for another Ashley book to read, I would recommend it. I wouldn't suggest you reading this book first if you've never read the author before.

WHile I LOVE Kristen Ashley's writing, I thought this book might be a little hokey. I didn't really buy into the whole genie storyline but I figured I'd give it a try. Don't know why I questioned it. Kristen is brilliant. The story was great and not at all hokey. Well done!

If you are not into fantasy, don't let the Genie in this story prevent you from choosing this book. The love story was awesome, the Genie was somewhat in the background. Kristen Ashley's books almost always draw tears from me (to the point I read them when I am alone) but if the number of times it brought tears is an indication of how good it was - this was the best.

Why did I wait so long to read this book? Don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question. I loved, loved, loved this book. End of...

Now on to Matilda, my last Kristen Ashley book to read. Kit, you're the bomb!

It was such a beautiful, funny tale. Laugh out loud funny! I wished it would go on and on. Crying one minute laughing the next - crying while laughing the next. It was one of the best books I have ever read no doubt.

This is a must read series from Kristen Ashley! All of her series are fantastic, but this one has that bit of a twist to it that makes it that more attention catching! I have read every book she has published so far and cannot wait for her to write more books!

As expected with Kristen Ashley, we love the characters. She gets them into your heart even when you don't expect it. Light fun, so, as with most fantasy, check your brain when you turn on your Kindle.

Kristen Ashley has become one of my favorite romance authors. She can write. This book must have been her first, however.

It is the silliest, splashiest, over the top soap opera I've read in a long time. It begins with such a mega-dose of heroine's family history, it was like listening to a co-worker tell one of those long-winded stories about their 'fascinating' second cousins.

Loved the genie in the story, but the poor guy spent most of his time looking picturesque and being a foil for the perfect sweetness of his adoptive family who, gosh darn it, just never have a negative thought or trait.

The heroine... oh, dear. Meet Mary Sue. She's perfect, she's beautiful, everyone falls in love with her on sight, she sacrifices herself for her daughter and even the big, bad hero is helpless against her feminine splendor. She suffers, but through no fault of her own--just the usual, y'know, death, crippling migraines, worst possible childbirth, hateful betrayals.

The hero is ruthless, cold, calculating, and tough, all in the fine tradition of Harlequin tycoons. I personally love this type of hero, as they are redeemed through love. But even tho this one is a ruthless kingdom-maker, he is apparently not smart enough to keep track of the heroine and loses her for 8 years. Really? He moved her into his flat and didn't get her cell phone number?? He didn't call America to check on her when she suddenly and uncharacteristically disappeared??

Not sure what happened in the end with their wildly swinging relationship, because for the first time, I didn't finish a KA book.

Ok, I did not see me liking this one, I mean a genie? Come on! But guess what? I did like it, not LOVE it but I did like it.
I think that KA has the market cornered on the Second Chance genre because she is pretty much the QUEEN!
She can write a story of star crossed lovers that find their way back into each others lives so easily, you would think that it happens everyday. This one has all the makings of a great KA book however I found that this one lacked drama. I mean, the adopted brother and sister of Nathaniel did Lily dirty BUT she just gives up! Goes back to the states and never reaches out! Come on, in my opinion Lily was a chicken, and she had no right to be upset when everyone was mad at her. She could have picked up a phone and called Nathaniel's parents. Why didn't she go to see his grave? I don't know. That bugged me.
Nathaniel is a bad boy and he deserves his Lily and I am glad he gets the girl. Even if he has to lay down the law to get her.
If you can suspend that irritation, as I finally did, then the love story, then and now was solid.
As far as the genie Frazire, he was fun but a bit of pill at times.
Overall the story was HIGHLY entertaining .

Another wonderful story from the magical story teller that is Kristen Ashley.
This journey has it all, magic, mystery, heartbreak and a masterful ending.
This one is a little different from Ashley as it has a bit of an emphasis on misunderstandings and missed opportunities, normally that puts me off as people not seeing each other while standing on the same train platform is just teeth grindingly annoying... however Ashley yet again manages to pull off a winner.

I love Kristen Ashley. She is my favorite author. This book was quite entertaining. I loved Fazire and wish that I had my own genie, even without the wishes! The male lead is also a strong alpha without need to spank or tie anyone up. I like that!

Ok - so I LOVE KA and have read a boatload of her novels but I went back & forth with this one, I mean, a genie? Really?

So I took a chance . . . I started it, and was like, ugh, it is silly - and sad. Then into the 3rd chapter (or maybe 2nd) you are SUCKED it. SUCKED!!!

This story is freakin' HEARRTTTTBREAKING! I cried, like, alot!

Spoiler . . .

There is a child involved in the story, and what I disliked was she acts like a 4/5 year old when she is suppose to 8? I am a Preschool Teacher and most of my students act a bit more mature. It just bugged me.

Well KA does not write a bad book so you can't go wrong with her books. This is a little different with the whole genie thing but the story and the characters are KA originals. There is not as much humor in this as say with her Rock Chic series but if Kristen Ashley writes it I'm going to read it.

This book is AMAZING. There is not a word that is well enough to describe this book! Like always this book is a pure, unadulterated, powerful, puzzle of words that take your breath away, and brings you to another world.

This world is a world you wish you could live in. The hero and heroine in this story were magnificent. All the additional characters only made this story more appealing and would not be the same without!

I am SO upset with myself for never reading this sooner. If you want a top 10 book of "all time" this is one of them! Get it now!! ❤❤❤

But the hero went too far when he went cold on the heroine even after they got back together. That was just too cruel and unloving and not what I would expect from someone who was truly determined to love another.

Story started off interesting with the genie aspect but then after the first couple of chapters, his involvement in the story was really diminished, another reason for my 2 star review.

The HEA ending was waaay over the top to the point of being cheesy.

The biggest drawback for me was how everything was being done for the sake of the daughter. First off, with that type of attitude towards her upbringing the girl would grow up to be a total brat. 2nd, I didn't care for the message the author was sending out as that a single mother had to sacrifice her own happiness and put up with a loveless marriage just so that her daughter could feel she had her biological father in her life.

This is my first book review on the store...and I felt that Three Wishes is justifiably that good to review. I've read all of Kristen Ashley's books--Colorado series, Dream Man series, Burg, Unfinished Heroes, Play it Safe (LOVED), you name it. When my friend asked if I had read Three Wishes yet, I told her I had no interest because of the genie thing. She convinced me to read it and I devoured this book in one long stretch. I loved every aspect of it. The innocence of Lily, the hot alpha of Nate, their heartache, their love, this book had it all. Bring in Tash. The tender scenes between Lily and Tash, and the unconditional love that flows once Nate learns he has a daughter, it was heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. One of the things I loved most about this book and the way that KA wrote it, was that she had the break-up between Nate and Lily occur in the first quarter section of the book. Then, although a few short years pass, she doesn't drag it out (in terms of writing). The reuniting happens fast and it doesn't keep you hanging. Some books are written where there is that one scene that totally makes you re-read it numerous times. This was the scene in the lawyer's office midway through. When you read it, you will know what I mean. It was awesome and left me completely fulfilled. KA lays everything out right then and there without missing a single detail (the break-up). It was perfect.

Now, the genie...I'm sorry, before I read this book I was thinking it was going to be so stupid. I could not have been so wrong. I freaking loved Fazire. He is adorable, funny, protective, witty, a friend and uncle like character. Sooooooo endearing. He ended up being my favorite character. The way they refer to him as the "special friend", describe his movements (float vs walk), and how Nate thinks of him at first--and then accepts him...I just flat out loved it. I want my very own Fazire!! His relationship with Tash moved me. (I mean understand there is no such thing as genies, but damn, I want one).

This book, like all of KA's books, had me from the get go. I'm just such a huge fan of hers and cannot wait until she releases her next titles. I'm days away from getting my hands on Chaos (Tabby and Shy) and I'm counting the minutes. KA, keep up the great work--you definitely have some serious talent girl!

Let me start by saying, the author has a way with words! She makes you feel like you are actually in the book! I swear, I felt every emotion the characters did! The scene with the lawyers... I cried! So, so powerful! And the scene when she called him, (I won't spoil it, you will know!) My heart hurt for Lily. Wow... just WOW!

I held off on reading this book thinking the genie angle would be corny. While there is a definite fairytale quality to the story, there is also a lot of depth to the story and to the characters. Nate is one of KA's best heroes...so tortured, at times cruel, and always alpha. But he's also unbelievably sweet and fierce and totally worth saving. The heroine is no slouch either. She is definitely one to root for and respect. Be warned that, like in KA's other books, For You, Play It Safe, and Fairytale Come Alive, the hero and heroine are separated for years, and this is a source of great heartbreak. I loved the angst, though, and like all KA books, it never got too heavy or unbearable. Highly recommended.

I liked it enough. It sure was very dramatic and could give lifetime movie dramas serious competition. Made me cry some....just really touching scenes, dramatically written. I am a sucker for anything with a touch of other worldly element in it, and because i've read the author's other books, I was curious how this book would be like. It didn't disappoint. I like the fact that the story begins in Indiana and moves to England later on.

I cannot tell you how long I had this book sitting on my Kindle with no desire to read it. I bought it because KA is an all-time fave and I buy whatever comes out of her brain, but this is SO not my style of book. I LOVED IT!!

The love and bond amongst the characters is so loving and heartbreaking that you can't help rooting both for and against them at different phases of the story. SO beautiful.

LOVE KRISTEN ASHLEY! This book I hesitated to ready because a book about genies really? However I was out of Kristen Ashley books to read so I gave it a try and it was awesome. Given the premise for this book, I was expecting a lot more. It was very repetitive and drawn out making it very hard to get through the book. The character's were extremely one blase and even the genie lacked all the fantasy qualities one would expect to have from a magical being. Lili was extremely annoying and immature. Nate was the same. Neither did anything remotely "normal" that ANY normal person would have done in their situation. I understand this is fiction but when the main character's act/think, or in this case, do not think at all and behave like 10 yr olds, it creates an immense dislike for me towards them. The whole book was very immature IMO and I could not take any of the character's seriously at all. Even his parent's that have abundant wealth and supposed maturity never thought once to go and find Lili after her disappearance? *rolling eye's* I personally like strong leads or even secondary character's, which lacked in all of them. The author kept trying to depict the males as strong, wealthy no nonsense alphas, but their actions throughout were the opposite. Definitely do not recommend.

I started reading Kristen Ashley just a couple of weeks ago and I am happy that I did. Three wishes was a good book that I could have read in one sitting- if I wanted to sit for that long : The characters were well written and I liked the overall plot. I wasn't in love with the genie character but I get it and eventually, I started to like him towards the end. I felt bad for some of the characters in the book and what they have to endure because of their own misconceptions...really wanted to shoot the H before he got a clue.

Okay, so I have been reading a lot of KA stuff and liked most of them well enough to try this one. After all, it's a pretty good price, the blurb sounds interesting enough, and who doesn't like some oriental fairytale in modern day settings... Turns out it was too cliché for my tastes. The characteres were quite onedimensional, set in their ways and just too over the top. Take Lily: so she wasn't that pretty in her teenage years. What else is new. But she just goes through life as this naive, I-love-only-once girl who thinks she's ugly while everybody else is aparrently totally enarmoured by her looks. Doesn't she have a mirror? And she just suffers through most of the book, and I do get that she is loveable and loving, but there really was no need to make her into a very passive saint.
Or Nathaniel: Enter the tortured dark prince. Him, I get a little bit better, especially his feelings of inadequacy. But his decisions are just so extreme that I don't think them realistic for any sane person.

however, this book is not without its perks and fun moments. It's a magic love story to the core, and there more than enough angst and heartfelt sentiments - it's just too much and thus kind of brings out the 'really? Reaaally?!' kind of feeling instead of the happy glow I associate with romance novels.

Three Wishes is one of Kristen's earlier works.
It has that special feel to it: the family, friends, the people close to you who make your life better.
I found the premise of the book to be entertaining. A genie granting 3 wishes and staying for the duration!!
Lily was a delightful character. So full of life and passion, open to new experiences, people and adventures.
Lily showed her maturity early on (the wish made…)

When she first meets Nate, Its after chasing a mugger.

Lily is an American living in the UK, what she is still fearless. Nate is drawn to her from the beginning but thinks he has to stay away from her.
Nate was orphaned at an early age and was adopted by a wealthy couple.
Victor, the man who adopted him, was a criminal who Nate worked for from an early age!!

But the years passed, Nate became respectable and admired, the family stopped its criminal activities and were legit businessman.
But the taint stayed with Nate. He didn’t believe he was worth much. He has wealth, admiration, women wanting him, loving parents, but he keeps himself detached.

As I mentioned, this is one of Kristen's earlier works. Her hero is different from the Alpha males we love to love. Nate is somewhat detached. He quickly shows interest in Lily and claims her as his, but he isn’t open or trusting. When tragedy strikes, he doesn’t follow Lily. He just accepts what he thinks is her leaving him and carries on.

Buy Lily didn't leave him. She believed he was dead and was lost to her.

Lily found the courage to carry on without Nate.

Years later, when they met again, it was explosive. Nate learned some hard truths about Lily's circumstances and was willing to do everything to win her back.

Everything but open his heart to her and trust in her love.

It seemed, Nate had so much more to learn.

Lily with the help of the family she made, made him realize how life could be so much more colorful and bright.

I enjoyed the journey and loved the epilogue!

This is proof that the hero and heroine must embark on a journey that will make them stronger in the end! The twists and turns while filled with sadness helped these great characters prevail.

Nate and Lily have to be my favorite couple I've read by this author. They are so strong together that when they are apart nothing is right. Nate had his secrets, and while they weren't total shock factor because we figure them out they still have the impact the author needed.

Lily broke my heart, she has lost so much yet is still going strong. Her dedication was that of beauty, because while she wanted to give up she never did. She was humble and bright and was perfect for Nate.

The plot was sort of paranormal as there was a guine, but it wasn't because we don't see much of that aspect, the secondary characters helped with the plot and the progression of the story, this book would have fell flat with out them all.

Overall another amazing read where the author was able to suck me in and I enjoyed my self. My only complaint was )and it not an issue) was that they were in the UK but they didn't use UK terms: I didn't feel like we were there, I couldn't picture any accents, except the heroines. And they said she had a southern drawl, I didn't know there was a drawl I'm Indiana. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Lily Jacobs inherited Fazire the genie when she was born. Her family had three wishes, so far they have only used one. Until all three wishes were granted Fazire was stuck in the human world eventually becoming part of the family. Lily's life wasn't easy even with Fazire to make it so at the snap of his fingers. Lily retreated to romance novels and after one very bad day she asked Fazire of her wish....for a man like the ones in her books, impossibly handsome, virile, fierce, rugged, and ruthless...the list goes on. Nathaniel McAllister wasn't born to a life where everything was possible and easy. His life consisted of drugs, crime, neglect and if he wasn't fast enough a beating. Yet when he meets Lily everything he knew went out the window wanting to be worthy of her. What Nathaniel didn't know and Lily forgot was she also wished for trials and tribulations just like the ones in her books.

And Fazire was nothing but the best and he loved his Lily so very much and gave her everything she asked for!

I know this is by my Favorite Author KA but I was skeptical...I had never read anything about genies. Yet out of trust and faith in KA I read it and *fan-girl squeal* I loved it. Of course I balled like a baby at times and screamed at my tablet a lot, then I was grinning like an idiot too. I ran the full emotional gamut with this story. I couldn't help myself I pictured Fazire a little like the genie from Aladdin and he spoke like Robin Williams too :) This story was so beautiful I highly recommend it to everyone. Boy did Fazire make some excellent trials and tribulations tho am I right!

This book definitely has be careful what you wish for written all over it! Literally lol! This book was great except for one scene which really made me mad and want to hate the hero. This book has a lot of ups and downs to it. The characters definitely get put thru the wringer and if messed me up and I was a mess at the end. Finished it and said that's it, I gotta go to bed.
The hero i had mixed feelings for. I loved him then I hated him. Mostly loved though. The heroine is great. She was an ugly duckling who turned into a swan but still saw the duckling. I really felt for her a lot because every woman has some issues with herself.
The storyline was good and it was rocky at times. Any good romance needs to have some conflict and this one had it for sure.
The one scene in the book that I hated reading and in fact skimmed through so fast is the only reason I didn't give it a five star rating but I still loved it! Now onto the next KA masterpiece!

First, from a purely consumer point of view: With Kristen Ashley's books, you get a lot of book for your dollars. You're not spending four dollars for a couple of hundred pages (as with so many other authors' e-books I've bought). You get a lengthy novel, which means time for character development, meaningful plot development, rich descriptions to draw a vivid picture of the scenery, clothing, the room, etc., which leads me to this book.

I did not want to read this book. I love Kristen Ashley, but I was growing tired of the paranormal romance genre. I wasn't interested even if it was Kristen Ashely. I should have known better. The paranormal aspect isn't the story. It may be a catalyst or a backdrop, but the lovers are always front and center. This book was so heartbreakingly beautiful. The genie angle was sweet and loving, not trite as I had feared it would be.

I've bought every book Ms. Ashley has written. I have absolutely loved all of them, except for two, which I merely only liked. Not a bad percentage at all. By the way, her books that lean toward fantasy and the paranormal are simply amazing. Not at all what I had expected. I'll spend my summer re-reading them all. If Kristen Ashley wrote it, I recommend that you read it.

Don't ask me why, because I wont be able to explain it, but for whatever reason, even though I'm a majorly huge KA fan, Three Wishes just didn't tempt me to read it. I mean, I've pretty much read every single KA book and many (almost all of them) I've reread at some point when I got the KA itch.

Why I didn't read this book sooner, I'll never be able to explain, but better late than never right?

A few things about this book that I did notice while I read it.

One, it's not the usual KA novel. It's written in 3rd person throughout (not one particular style I enjoy reading) and the setting is kind of 'old school' so more like a historical romance of sorts. (Again, not really my usual reading choice). This could be one of the reason's I didn't immediately dive into it. It very well could be. But honestly I can't remember my thinking when I first saw it years ago.

It does move along and eventually end up in modern day, but even then it's very, very different to the normal KA style. There are really few times where they curse, which if you've ever read a KA, you'll know that most of her Alpha's use curse words more often than not. Which - I don't know what this says about me - I kind of like since it's great at expressing passion between the characters. In Three Wishes, I can honestly count on my hand the amount of times explicit language is used. And I noticed it immediately and although I enjoyed this book so much that I finished it in one go, I did miss those usual heated moments KA blesses us with.

I'm not sure why this isn't the same, it could just be that KA was trying something new. I really can't say, but whatever the reason... it doesn't take away from the fact that everything else in this book is pure Kristen Ashley at her best.

Three Wishes borders on both Adult Romance & Adult Fantasy Romance. We get our usual dose of hot alpha and an awesome genie all in one. That I enjoyed. Is it better than KA's all consuming gorgeous alpha and quirky female lead? No. Nothing ever beats that. But the good news and that this book is a refreshingly different tale, but still absolutely a KA book.

I can't say I haven't missed that. KA's latest books haven't really made me ooh and ahh. Somethings missing in her currently writing and I can't put my finger on it, but it's making me really sad that I'm losing out on KA's magic - but even though this book was released ages ago, I needed a reminder as to why I adore her writing so much and why I consider her my favorite author when it comes to continued success in hooking me over and over again no matter how many times I've read and reread her books.

There's little that needs to be mentioned to get you to get this and read it. But I believe the one fact that you should take to heart is that if you love the old KA style and find yourself craving her characters... then Three Wishes is what you should be reading.

A sweet female character, a hot, wealthy alpha, a cute, bubbly child and a loving, protective genie are great ingredients for an awesome blend of variety in a book.

If you've not yet read this book for whatever reason that may be... take it from someone who hesitated for years to pick this up... I loved it! Looovvveedddd it!

I admittedly am a bit smitten with Kristen Ashley's writing, but this book blew me out of the water. I often read reviews for her books where people say that it brought them to tears often. This is not me. I do not cry at movies and rarely cry at books. I won't tell you the first book I remember crying at because it is so embarrassing (ok...fine. I'll tell you. It was...darn it, I can't remember the name of it. Whatever the second Twilight book is called. Don't judge me, that book devastated me!) Anyway, there were so many times in this book that I was fighting back the tears. It was perfect! I loved everything.

Brief Summary:

The story starts out with heartbreak for the grandmother of the main character. We spend a small amount of time with this storyline to set the stage for the main character and...the genie! Yes a real genie is brought out of his little bottle to grant three wishes. Unlike most people however, Lily's grandmother doesn't use her wishes and the wishes pass on to her daughter who does use one then the remaining two pass to Lily. Lily uses a wish when she is fourteen. The main story starts up when Lily is twenty-two when she meets Nate McAlister. Their time is a whirl wind that ends after just two weeks when tragedy strikes Lily's life in too many ways to count. Then, like many KA books, years pass before our Lily and Nate meet again and this is where the waterworks start! The reunion was so perfect and heartbreaking! I went back and re-read it a few days later.

Thoughts:

I don't think I need to write much here. I think you get that I loved this book. I loved Lily the best out of all KA heroines. She went through so much! She didn't do anything to annoy me, except maybe forgive Nate too quickly when he was being a jerk (and when he decides to be a jerk he is the jerkiest of all big jerks!)

(One of) My Favorite Quotes:

"Nathaniel is the name of a gentleman, a genius, a man of means and power. Nate is just a name. And my Nathaniel is a Nathaniel." -Victor Roberts about his son, Nate McAlister

Really, really enjoyed this book. I think there have been enough reviews that I don't need to summarize what happens. It was really lovely how the author introduced Fazire, first through Sarah, then Becky, and finally Lily.

Lily was what I wanted a heroine to be. She's smart, beautiful, full of light and spirit, loving, and warm. Nate was also everything that Lily wished for. He's perfect, except for the fact that he grew up harsh and had a hard life and was stubborn about it. Of course, like with all romances, everything could have been resolved if they only talked, but then we wouldn't have this story.

As a reader, I think there's always going to be something I don't like. With this book, it was minor.

(1) The separation. The separation seemed painfully long to me. Eight years is a loooong time. And while it allowed Lily time to mature, it was so painfully long. But it's defniitely a catch 22 for me because one of my pet peeves are super young heroines who are too stupid and immature to know what they're doing or to make any true decisions on their own. So, that's something that I love about this author's work so far: an appropriate age gap between H and h.

(2) Inconsistencies. When we are introduced to Sarah, that's all she is. Sarah. At the end, she is referred to as Sarah Jacobs. However, I'm assuming that Jacobs is Will's last name since his introduced as Will Jacobs. A little editing would go a long way. Which brings me to #3.

(3) Past versus Passed. You walk past someone and it's past 10:00 pm. On the other hand, the car passed by the store, the book was passed around, etc. Another reason why this book could have used an editor. Or a better editor. Reading this author's other works and this error is almost her trademark or something.

(4) Small thing, but I wish that Lily and Nate had more of their own children. Nate should have had more faith in Fazire. Fazire purposely created Lily to be perfect. Knowing why her mother (Becky) wished for Lily, it would make sense that Fazire would have made sure that Lily could easily have children.

These were small things that affected by enjoyment of this book. However, it really was a beautiful book with a beautiful ending. I especially appreciated that in granting Lily's wish, Fazire didn't "create" Nick. Rather, he binded him with Lily. And really, I know that Nate suffered emotionally through the separation, but it was really Lily who endured all the trials and tribulations. And, that seems fair to me since she's the one who wished for them.

WOW!!! Five Genierific stars!! I have no idea why I did not read this book sooner KA does not disappoint! Fazire is a genie that has been with the Jacob's family for many years. The Jacob's are legends in the genie world because it is unheard of for humans not to use their wishes. Lily Jacobs is a dreamer- she wishes for a love like that of her parents, for a handsome, rugged, hero to swoop her off her feet and love her with fierce a passion. She is a lover of romance books and wants a hero just as those in her books and their love must be tested for true love always is and that is exactly what Fazire gives her. Wow, amazing, brilliant- I couldn't put this book down!! Nathaniel McAllister had a tough childhood and that is an understatement- he watched as his mother succumbed to her addiction while neglecting to provide him with the most basic of necessities. Nate grows up to become a respectable business man; yet, he still feels tainted and underserving because of his childhood. When Lily and Nate lay eyes on each other, they know it's meant to be. Of course, a love as strong as theirs comes with struggles and the jealousy of others. I cried with this story- it was heart breaking. Nate feels underserving of someone as sweet and innocent as Lily, but he cannot and will not let her go. Almost as quickly as they meet, they are torn apart by the jealousy of Nate's adoptive siblings. This was so painful- how can such evil/vile people exist especially when they are a part of your family? This story was awesome I can't say it enough: the characters each had something special: Lily was beautiful, innocent and despite the hand she was dealt did everything in her power to fill her daughter's world with happiness; Nate was ambitious, intelligent, handsome and possessed a vulnerability that rarely shined through; Fazire was a loyal genie who stood by his family and did everything in his power to ease their sorrows; Victor and Laura were admirable, loving parents who stood by their adoptive son as their own flesh and blood did the most vile of things and Tash, oh Tash she was a bright light in a gloomy world where romance heroes die. Do not wait to read this wonderful story, it does not disappoint!!

I love books with emotional angst and this one does not fail in that department. My heart broke when H sues h for custody of their child, but he quickly redeems himself when he hears h almost dying during childbirth and does an 180. Like all of KA's H, this is an alpha male that has no quorum in going to extends to keep the h (like trying to impregnate her so she never leaves). Genie Fazire is a nice addition to the book. The only element I wish was different is for h not to be so perfect (beautiful, humble, kind, makes huge sacrifices for loves one, etc.) How can men not fall all over themselves to catch this woman? How she remains single during all those years beats me..

So, I thought I read everything Kristen Ashley, but I didn't! OMG, I felt like I won the LOTTERY when my sister said she was re-reading Three Wishes & I said I don't even remember it so I better read it! I immediately realized I never read it! O happy day!

If this is your first Kristen Ashley book, you are soooo lucky! You won't regret it! She'll make you laugh & cry & wish the story never ends. You'll read each book over & over & when you've read every one of her books, you'll go back AGAIN & re-read them! Once you go Kristen Ashley, it's hard to go anywhere else to get amazing stories that'll move you emotionally. I have a hard time tearing myself away from KA land!

With this book, I'm now current with my Kristen Ashley library of brilliance! And because she ROCKS, she writes ALL THE TIME & ALWAYS has a book coming out! We love you Kristen Ashley...ROCK ON!

I wouldn't have initially thought of reading this with the concept of a genie. I am so glad that I was encouraged to read this by bookfriends. This is an epic KA romance at its best. Lily is a beautiful young woman, who wished for the perfect book romance hero. He was to be troubled, broken, and impossibly handsome. Her wish was granted and Nate saved her during a crisis in her life. They had a short time together before misunderstandings set them apart. This book is heart aching and keeps you totally caught in the tale. I loved this book, more so because I wasn't expecting it.

This book is extraordinary, amazing, and magnificent, the kind of book that, when you pick it up to re-read it later, demands you re-read *every* sentence, not just the parts you like best.

Read this book.

There is no angst for the sake of angst. It's deeply emotional but not dark. The relationship between Lily and Nate is beautiful, and their overall story is doubly so.

Read this book.

Kristen Ashley has become my favorite author. This book, like all her others took me on a journey of laughter, anger, sadness, joy and everything in between. Her stories never fail to deliver to me the reason I obsessively read.

This was the last book of Ms. Ashley's that I had left to read; I had put it off because I wasn't sure I would like reading about a Genie, I'm glad I finally read it.

No matter the genre Ms. Ashley chooses, her books never disappoint. Can't wait for her newest book this Tuesday.

Another great book by Kristen Ashley. What can I say I love this woman and about 99.9% of her books. Her books invoke a variety of emotions from me and truth be told no other author has ever been able to do that. The storyline is excellent and each character is so well written. Now, I want my own genie. Loved it and I highly recommend it.

Three Wishes hooked me from the start. The emotions it evoked with the characters kept me turning the pages, from laughter to frustration, from tears to adoration. I loved the dynamic between Lily and Nathaniel, as well as the clever Fazire. I highly recommend this book!

Kristen Ashley delivers...yet again...

Who would ever think that such a story could be so gripping, so romantic, so sweet, so intriguing, such a page turner, so loving, just so goddamn wonderful.

This is a writer who delivers - constantly - and I've read most of her one-off stories and, quite frankly, THEY ALL DELIVER.

Looking forward to more of these.

You can't go wrong with any book from Kristen Ashley. Only complaint it was too short. Real emotion realistic characters. Don't need to ever read a review to know that all of these books are worth the price, time and everything else. Although I would say another complaint is that this author has ruined men for me because sadly not one of her fictional men are alive in the world today. This guys ARE the definition on the perfect man. Now moving onto the next one... They are just so good....
