This book is called The Kid Who Ran For President. This story is about a boy who runs for president. Im not going to tell you what happens in the end. But this book is GREAT it has a lot of details. Every chapter ends with a cliff hanger. No chapter is boring. This book is great. You should definitely buy this book. By the way I am Viman Singh from BSGE. I think this book is good for the people between 4-8th grade.

Judson Moon is charismatic, and funny at times but if you are looking for a book that teaches your kid somethings except politicians full of lies.

I was hoping for much more then a moral story from this book other then what I received from the book. I think there could have been so much more added to educate children about the Constitution or Congress. Instead it is a book about a goofball kid who want to be honest, which is fine and good. I was just hopeful for more educational with fun and not moral with fun or could have had both.

This book also has a sequel which if I mention the title ruins this book.

This book is SO funny! 12-year-old prankster Judson Moon and his campaign manager/best friend 12-year-old genuis Lane Brainard (Sounds just the way its spelled) are on a mission- to make Judson the President of the United States. To do this, they need 2,000 signatures and $20 million. Judson got A LOT of votes. Through scandal and opinion polls, Is it enough to make him president? And how long will his presidency last? Read this funny and entertaining book if you want to know.

Dear Reader, The Kid Who Ran For President, by Dan Gutman I wouldn't recommend. It was lay your head down, fall asleep BORING! Here's a summary.

Judson Moon (the main character) decides to run for President of the United States of America, because of his friend Lane. He knows nothing about politics and is just 12 years old. He chooses an older black partner named June Syers HIS BABY SITTER that hasn't voted since Teddy Roosevelt's time! But he receives a place on the Wisconsin ballot due to a petition. He makes it into the final debate, and is on the final ballot. You also know that the constitution doesn't allow anyone under the age of 35. How will he over come this obstacle?

This book is very un-realistic and very, very dull. PLEASE, save youself the dissapointment of this horrid book.

Coached by his friend Lane, Judson makes campaign promisses that inspire chilren across the country to send him contributations. this pressures parents to press for age restrictions. this obstacle doesent stop him when he finds the ideal running mate,an elderly black woman. its a perfect team, she's old he's young, she's black he's white Judson enjoys unexpected success and wonders if he could win the election.

Review by Adam Shaheen, Age 10, Universal American School, Kuwait.

The Kid Who Ran For President is about a 12 year old boy named Judson Moon who runs for President of the United States.

The story begins with Judson being convinced by his friend, Lane Brainard, to try to run for the President of the United States. After Judson agrees, Lane makes a list of things they need to do for Judson’s campaign. The first two things to do are to pick a vice president and to pick a first lady in case Judson gets elected. So, Judson asks his old babysitter, Mrs. June Syers, to be his Vice President. Then he asks one of his classmates, Chelsea, to be his first lady, and she accepts. Next, Judson decides to start a lemonade stand so he can get his name out to the public and to raise money for his campaign. According to the U.S. bill of rights, kids cannot run for President but Congress changes the law after 42 out of 50 states agreed to change the law. After Judson started campaigning, he got a low amount of votes then he started getting more votes and he became the candidate in first place to win. Unfortunately, his enemy, Arthur Krantz, revealed a bad thing that Judson did which caused him to lose votes. Judson went on T.V to apologize and to give a good speech. Then the election came and the winner was announced.

I liked this book because it shows how people and countries change from their old ways. The U.S. was willing to change their laws to let kids vote which was unexpected. My favorite part was when Judson stands up to a jerk named Arthur Krantz. My favorite character is Lane because he knows everything and is able to give good advice to Judson by telling him what to do, what to say and when to say it. Lane was the brains of Judson`s campaign.

I think this book would be appealing to kids who are 9 to 13 years old. Since the main characters are boys, I feel this book would appeal more to boys than girls. I think this story explains how real life problems occur and how people can fix or deal with these problems. Also, it shows that crazy ideas and dreams can come true if you know how to handle them.

I give this book 5 stars.
