My daughter is five and struggles with sensory processing disorders. I got this in hopes of finding a better way to connect to her, she tends to get frustrated very easily if something doesn't go just right for her the very first time she tries it and I was hopeful this would give me some good tools for my mama toolbox. This book is helpful but I feel very strongly that it will be much more helpful to us once she is in kindergarten next year & able to read some of the content for herself. All of the activities are written directly to the child and even though I read this information to her, some of it is lost in translation. I really appreciated the tips for daily life, like getting ready for school or mealtime, but I feel like this book will be much more helpful to us in a year or two.

I absolutely LOVE this book. It has great activities and amazing ways to connect with your child/children. I have 6 SuperKids -a few of which are quite difficult to handle sometimes. This book is really great for helping you find ways to organize parts of your life to make things easier and more streamlined. It also has great ideas for connecting and having fun with your children. I feel overwhelmed ALL.THE.TIME trying to get everything done, trying to get little people where they need to be, etc. This books has helped me stress less and at least feel like I am connecting more with my children. Sometimes it is hard to enjoy being a parent because the little people in your life don't do as they are told or don't help as much as you wish....this book allowed me to see the kids as not just kids but SUPER KIDS and to take time to enjoy them and love them. It helped me spend positive time with my kids.

Overall this is a great book of activities that are best used as a guide for parents. In today's highly technological environment parents are prone to use video games and tablets as babysitting devices, This book helps the parents to be more creative instimulating their children's interest, curiosity, and activity level. Please note though, parent partnership with the child in doing these activities is a must in my opinion. It's not about having the child be involved, it's about spending strong quality time with the kids while helping them explore the environment around them

I was thrilled to receive an advanced copy of this book for review. I love the fresh perspective Dayna shares. Instead of viewing unique behaviors as problems that must be fixed, this book helps kids and the adults in their lives embrace their differences and use them as strengths. It's truly a book like no other I have read before, and my kids are excited to dive into the many activities inside.

My kids struggle with remembering things, not because they are forgetful, but because they haven't learned to organize their minds, This book is amazing. It has tips and tricks for daily chores, self care, and all around daily things. For that alone this book has been worth it.
That said, there are other projects that they can make to help with wiggling and worrying, and my kids 5, 12 and yes even 14, have found useful things to try.
While I have to help my youngest with some of the projects and concepts, this superkids book has even helped me. Highly recommend!

Fun activity book. i read this is for children up to 12 Yrs old..!!
I think a 8 yo would be too old for this book..
This is a heavy book with thick paper. The book should last a long time.
Allot of fun things for kids of all young ages, and also good for there dexterity, muscles, and coordination.
That said there are other books also!

This book full of so much energy and bursting with great ideas. I love the way it is organized into times of the day. I know our weaknesses are getting out the door in the morning and settling down for bed so I started there. I set the book down filled with renewed optimism for both me and my kids. The author's perspective on kids is contagious. If you feel like you need help getting through the daily routines and want a book that helps you and your child celebrate what makes them great while you do it, this is for you.

My 10-year-old daughter absolutely adores this book! Within a couple of hours of getting it, she was making plans to construct her own weekday rockstar wardrobe organizer and gathering materials so she could make DIY chewable jewelry for her 6-year-old sister (who loves to chew the tops off of pencils)! She even led her sister through some calm down breathing games.
I love that my daughter loves this book and it's awesome to see her so actively using it!

As a mom to three small kids bursting with energy, I’ve never been so excited about a kid’s book!! This is THE activity book every parent of a young child with big, complex emotions needs...because it isn’t just ANY activity book. The activities are specifically geared towards helping kids (and parents!) handle all of those daily obstacles that can lead to ongoing tears. Whether you struggle with a high-energy kid, a poor listener, or are simply looking for ways to help solve picky-eating and those never-ending bedtime battles, this guide will help bring a little more sanity into your life! I especially love how the author puts the focus on changing the way parents interpret our child’s behavior so that we can better understand why they struggle so AND find ways to help them thrive!!

All kids are superkids! What a breath of fresh air it is to read the book Superkids Activity Guide to Conquering Every Day. Instead of focusing on how to "fix" your child, this book is all about celebrating who your child is and working with their natural strengths to help them grow. I love that the book honors children by writing directly to them. What a sensitive way to approach who children are! This strategies in this book are easily adapted to home or school use making it perfect for parents, caregivers and educators

Finally, kids who are misunderstood, kids who struggle with attention or behavior or just with getting through the day, have a place where their super powers are recognized and they are seen for the amazing and unique individuals they really are. And that place is the Superkids Activity Guide. Full of interesting and engaging sensory projects that help kids learn more about their own strengths and how to surmount the challenges and obstacles that hold them back from achieving their true potential, The Superkids Activity Guide is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind book that is sure to start a movement.

Excellent Book, very well put together. Has tons of activities for the kids, and some have a good embedded message included with the activity. Since its winter in Chicago, we have not been able to try out a lot of them, but my 6 year old son enjoys flipping through the pages, looking at the activities. The Dragon Bubbler looks amazing! Cant wait to try.

This is seriously the most amazing book ever. I know it's geared towards sensory issues, but my kids are so excited about every single activity in there. We've laid out a strategy plan, and what we've done so far has been so fun and rewarding. This book could replace my Pinterest browsing for a really long time.

I received an advanced copy. My son read the book with me from cover to cover. He made a list of all the projects he wants to do (it’s a long list). The Velcro task chart was the first we completed. He thinks it will help him organize his day and help him know what to do next. (That’s exactly the point of the task organizer.) What I find amazing is how the book is written. It is directed at kids. They can do the projects and understand how each activity helps them. There are added explanations to help parents, too. It's truly awesome!

I love that this book is filled with GREAT, practical ideas for special kids who could use some extra support, particularly kids with sensory processing disorder like my own daughter. I love the activities and the message of that these kids are awesome in their uniqueness. We've already made the backpack keychain charms & think they turned out fab.

I LOVE this book, the fun and approachable way its written for kids but still covers so much information about sensory preferences, anxiety, executuve functioning etc-things that we adults also need to learn,- the combination works beautifully. Then there is the different ways the activities can be sorted - into difficult times of day or whether an activity is calming or stimulating, and the very wide range of skills and ideas introduced to help kids understand themselves and help us parents to support them is covered in a seemingly simple way, but is actually offering several layers of information at once. So much thought and attention to detail has gone into this book, there is no skimping on content and the gorgeous full colour pictures finish it off beautifully.

Amazing! I received an early copy of this book. As I was doing a first read through I kept commenting to my husband about how smart all of the crafts and activities are.
My daughter (5) and I chose to focus on the first chapter (mornings) as that is what we are struggling with in our house. She picked 3 activities to help her get up and ready for the day. Since my daughter has used this book our mornings have drastically improved.
I highly recommend!
There is something to help every kid become a superkid.

The Superkids movement is revolutionary. As an educator who focuses on building self-esteem in chidren FIRST, It is so refreshing for me to see a guide like this, that encourages adults AND children to focus on strengths and nurture unique qualities. This guide is key to helping children succeed in learning about their individual abilities and finding their purpose. Abraham's book focuses on helping "superkids" blossom and thrive--and in doing so, has become a parenting and educator SUPERHERO. So happy to have a copy of this valuable resource! HIGHLY recommend!

This book has so many great ideas and projects for kids and their adults! However, my favorite thing about this book is that it teaches children to believe in themselves, to love who they are, and to feel empowered with all of the wonderful tools it provides.

This book is an absolute gem for parents, teachers or mental health practitioners! Tons of creative ideas for fun and empowering activities that bolster child development and self-confidence! The coolest thing is that kids can learn all the science behind the fun...and how they can cope in healthy ways with challenges they face. Can't say enough good things about it!

I absolutely LOVE this book.
Practical helps from the moment you start reading. And my child {who battles Asperger's and ADHD} loves it too. She regularly picks out sections for us to do together. Not only do we have fun doing them, but they work!

This book is beautifully written and visually simulating. Full of amazing activities for equally amazing kids, it is a MUST have. I was teary eyed reading the letter at the front of the book. Kudos to this author and publisher for putting out such a quality product for kids.

Just received my sample chapter of the book and this looks amazing! It helps us change the way we look at these amazing kiddos! I work with many superkids and have one of my own, and helping change our mindset from what they shouldn't be doing to what they can do is amazing! These small people are crying out to be understood and give them that time and support and watch them soar! And writing it for the kids and having them train the adults so to speak is awesome!

The Suberkids Activity Guide gives you tools to get through the predictable crises of a normal day. Activities make dealing with the big emotions more doable. I love how she gives kids language to explain to adults why they are acting the way they do.

This is a beautiful & colorful book with so many fun activities for kids. The pictures and design are bright & colorful. We got it last night and my 10 year old wouldn't put it down. It's written to kids so they can read it or you can read it to the little ones. We plan to start activities this week. Definitely buy this book. You and your kids will love it!

I loved sharing this book with my daughter. I could see her excitement building as she turned through the pages and read about solutions to things she struggles with. I know that we will be using this amazing resource a lot as school starts this year.

They seemed to gravitate towards certain projects, and away from others. They were disgusted by the personal hygiene practice that involved a balloon and peanut butter - yuck! But most of them are exciting, fun, and productive.
It is wonderful to see how engaged they are and how much they are learning, as well as see their confidence growing by leaps and bounds.
