Another great read from a great author! Having gone through similar problems as Asha, I could totally relate to the fear she had. I love how Ruby dealt with it and how our characters finally come out stronger than ever after finally coming together and realizing that they are better together than apart. I don't know what others are saying but I loved how we got to see the happy conclusion to this story. I also understood why she was skipping ahead so I wasn't bothered by it at all. I loved this one and can not wait for the next one!!!!

This installment was just okay for me. There was nothing about the characters that really drew me in. Much of the angst between the couple was repetitive throughout the story. I also became annoyed with the humans doing a poor job of explaining American holiday traditions which was done before in a short Ice Planet episode. This does not, however, take away from the series, which I have enjoyed. Some installments are great and some just fall flat including this one. Still looking forward to the next one.

As the mother of a 'Rainbow Baby,' this story was relatable. Though we handled our situations similar, yet different. I laughed and cried and I love when a book can make me emote. Asha and Hemalo's story was long waited for me I've been waiting for their journey to conclude. I'm happy for the little surprises added to the story by Claire. Now that I know Farli is next, I'm wondering if she will resonate with Bek since he is ready to move on. Now I have to patiently wait for the other one. Sighs. Patience.

This was an important part to this series. Asha and Hemalo have been a sad part of the tribe since the beginning. Asha has always been a difficult character to like but Claire is able to see past her prickly disposition and befriends her. I think this was a great story that shows the pain and anger that Asha is dealing with as well as forgiveness and love that her and Hemalo show. I cried at the end it was such a beautiful scene.

This story was wonderful, like all of the books in the Ice Planet Bararians series. However, the female lead in this book had some real pain to deal with and she and her mate had more than the usual amount of problems to overcome. My heart really went out to both of them. This book will wrap you up in the emotions of the main players.

This story is about the prickly Asha and her estranged mate Hemalo. I'll admit, I didn't really like Asha because she has been quite bitchy, especially to the other women in the tribe. This is in part due to the loss of her child, but also because she was a coveted female until she resonated with someone she didn't like. It was sweet tho to see her reasons play out, why she was so mean all the time. I look forward to the next few books in this series!

Anouther great book to add to her Barbarian series! So much love, pain, hope, and joy. I cannot wait until the next in the series comes out!

Each of Ruby Dixon's books are unique and we'll thought out. I know that every time she releases a new book, I'm going to get a wonderful read and I have yet to be let down. I highly recommend all of her books. You do not have to read this book in order, although some of the finer points will be hard to grasp without doing so.

This was sad, heartwarming, frustrating and hopeful... sometimes all at once. If you've been following the progress of our mixed species village of castaways this is the episode you've been waiting for. I would advise any newcomer to start with the first book, rather than jump in here. This time the story is both cathartic and healing, but also painfully sad. It is worth the journey, and the kleenex, but will still leave you wanting more.

If like me you have read everything from this wonderful series then I don't need to tell you anything about it. But if you have been living under a rock for the last year are so then let me tell you this.... What have you been doing with yourself? You have missed out on one great ride. One that I'm happy is still going on. (Hopefully for a lot longer) Ruby Dixon has out did herself!

Beautiful Ice Planet second chance love story. Asha and Hemelo, resonated long ago but an unfortunate event - the death of their infant daughter, brings their relationship to breaking point. They end up separating. But there was a miracle - they resonated again - meaning that they have the chance to have another child - if thei could only forgive, accept love and find their way back to each other.

-Crackilicious series. It’s been an addicting ride and it just keeps going.
-Mostly slice of life for the sah-khui, with Asha and Hemalo as the central couple. This is more of a second chance type romance, as they resonated many years ago, but lost a child. Actually very touching installment.

The Bottom Line
Yep, still loving Planet Blue Balls. Onto the next.

Well, Ms. Dixon you did it again! Another fantastic story in the Ice Planet Barbarians series! Loved the journey that Hemalo and Asha took and the addition of Claire's POV. I even loved that little bit on Bek--really feeling for his character :). He needs a nice, fun and assertive mate of his own for sure. Can't wait to see what you will do with that! Looking forward to the next!!!

I absolutely loved it. In all the previous books, we saw the pain between these two. In this book we were able to see them come together and heal. Asha has been hateful in her grief, and I'm glad that she was able to let go of the pain, and let people close to her. I love this series, and I'm excited for more books. I hope the author manages to drag out this series for a long time .

Waited so long to see what happens between Asha and Hemalo, and it was worth the wait. With everyone's happiness around them it was not hard to see how Asha has struggled, so to finally give her a voice in her own story is good. Hemalo and Asha had to grieve their loss and figure out a way to move forward, and to see how you need to read the book.

I absolutely love the Ice Planet books and I even follow you on Facebook but I somehow missed this release! Farlis book just came out and I went, wait a minute, she's not old enough to have a book! I missed something! I'm SO glad I went back and read this one first. I am thrilled Asha and Hemalo have a second chance!!!! Another amazing book!

In most of the alien fantasy novels, the females are extinct, defective, infertile, or just hateful. I love that this story shares that romance is not exclusive to the novel humans.
I also like that the social dynamics of the intermingled cultures were neither ignored nor belabored. All in all, a lovely look into another window of this frozen blue world.

Glad we finally learned about Ashe. We get to like her. The story didn't beat the past to death but we got to understand what happen to her and Hemalo. Im glad we got to see that Ashe was a heart. The story touched a little more about the Merlak being more than beast. I can't wait for more about them.

Wow.. Asus was just so distraught and angered over the death of her daughter and the loss of her mate due to her anger. Bengali was her mate but felt he was a bird in to her because she always was angry at him. When the healing was conquered they were able to heal each other.
I cannot wait for the next book!

Asha & Hemalo's story was bittersweet. They've been a long time coming to find resonance again and fall back in love. I'm so happy that Asha was able to have another kit, and I totally cried like a punk lol I'm intrigued about Farli's upcoming story and how it will flow. Can't wait for me it to drop, I'm excited!

Ruby Dixon's Barbarian series is an incredible feat of world-building - this is the 11th in the series and I am more invested and interested and dying for the next book than ever. This is the first book to focus on two of the aliens (rather than a human and an alien), and it was fantastic. This is a story of hope, new beginnings, learning to work through anger and grief towards something better. There are some amazingly sweet scenes, and some super funny ones. For example, this one had me spitting my coffee out, "Is he into blow jobs?" I tilt my head. "A below jab?" It sounds painful and not erotic. "Where 'below' would I jab him?" And of course, there's super hot sex.

I can't recommend this book, and the whole series, enough. Ruby Dixon is one of my top two romance authors, ever, period. (The other is Lisa Kleypas.) What I am dying to know, though, is what other name Ruby writes under?!?

Asha and Hemalos story was such a beautiful journey. I love how they became better mates for each other and were able to overcome such a huge loss and move forward together. This was one of the books in the series that hit me right in the feels in a good way. Keep it up Ruby, we're not ready to leave Not Hoth yet!

Here we see Asha and Claire befriend each other. Claire is such a wonderful and sensible human that she is what Asha needs to help her see that she can be happy with her mate even after the terrible loss of her baby. We see Asha was finally ready to start over with Hemalo.

LOVED IT !!!!

Asha and Hemalo finally got their story and it was a very emotional journey. I'm so happy that these two characters grew the way they did. Asha came across as a twattwaffle in previous books but here we felt they story and it totally worked!

I was wondering when Asha's story would be told. The loss of a child is very grievous. I think the author did a marvelous, yet delicate job of telling this story. I look forward to reading the next book. Thanks for the great read.

Split by grief and anger these two once again resonate and have to find their way back to a middle ground. The adventure in the wild during brutal season sees them into scary situations and forces them to learn to communicate.

I always enjoy reading Ruby's stories about the sexy alien barbarians. And let me tell you this is no different. I was kinda on the ups about asha's story. But now, I am so glad that read this book. This story lets you get a good look into asha's thoughts and why she is the way she is. As for hermelo, he was kinda a mystery to me. I didn't know much about him. I glad that Mrs. Dixon allows you to see his side of the story! I can't wait for the next story. Definitely read this story so that you can understand asha story better. I don't want to give any clues to what happens because I want you to read if.i truly enjoyed every bit of this book! Farlis story is next! I am so excited!!!!
