I've been familiar with Louise Hay affirmations since the 1980s. The current book, coauthored by a medical doctor, integrates medical treatment with the mind's ability to help heal the body. Well balanced, and so useful for sufferers who have almost given up hope.

I wasn't too thrilled with this book. Looks like you have be a millionaire to get all those remedies for defined illnesses and treatment. Some of the affirmations are too long to rememeber, especially for a bunch of issues that it's intended for. Visualization with affirmations might be a better alternative for healing. You be the judge.

If you remember Louise Hay’s famous 1980s book, You Can Heal Your Life, you will understand the extremely groundbreaking healing advice contained in this new, spiritually, scientifically and medically targeted book, All Is Well, Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations and Intuition.

This great book was a collaborative effort between Louise Hay, founder of Hay House, a successful publishing company, and Mona Lisa Schulz, M.D., PhD, who holds two doctorate degrees and has over 25 years experience as a practicing medical intuitive.

Together, these two amazing women united the use of complex science and spiritual health research to help others empower themselves to experience complementary avenues to personally heal.

I could relate to many of the “From the Clinic files” case studies they shared in this book.

Many of the holistic recommendations they provided, along with traditional medicine, often included seeing a Chinese herbalist and an acupuncturist. I was happy to see this as I’m a big proponent of utilizing holistic with traditional medical practices.

Many of the case studies were normal people with body, mind or spirit issues that spun into a particular health issue.
Through these case studies, it was never more clear to see how important our thoughts are in creating our illnesses and realities – good and bad.

This book, divided into Seven Emotional Centers, helped me discover troubled areas in my body that needed acute attention. The recommended affirmations for these troubled areas helped me focus my healing efforts more easily.
Many of my issues center around the fifth and sixth emotional centers – everything north of my heart.

The big “aha” in this book, All Is Well, is to see how easily these authors have created a simple to recognize pathway to my personal, deep-seated issues.

With the use of traditional medicine, alternative practices, targeted affirmations and nutritional holistic recommendations, one of the complementary affirmations for my personal healing is:

“It is with flexibility and ease that I see all sides of an issue. There are endless ways of doing things and seeing things. I am safe.”

My ever-expanding intuition says, “There is no time like the present to take charge, step-by-step, moment-to-moment, to reveal my untapped potential to personal healing.”

Thank you Louise and Mona Lisa for having the backbone to share another avenue for greater body, mind and spirit health.
Until later, I send you love, blessings and wishes for a healthful, abundant and prosperous life!

I love how brilliantly MonaLisa organized injuries and illness based on the 7 energy centers or chakras of the body. It's brilliant! Full Disclosure: I recently interviewed MonaLisa Schulz for our Inspire Nation Show.

To me, medical care always starts with intuition. How does the body feel? Why does it feel this way? What is it saying (non-judgmentally) about my life. MonaLisa and Louise Hay do a brilliant job taking it many steps further...beyond investigation they help you determine what steps to take, where to take them, and what you can do to shift your state of mind and well-being, beginning right now. It's a melding of east and west, Mind, Body and Soul, and I love it!

I do a lot of coaching, and I'll be recommending it to anyone who's struggling with injury or ailments; this book helps get at the root cause!

For myself personally, I'll keep this book on standby for our lives, for it's a great primer or translator for what the body's trying to tell us.

Hygiene is a vital component to good health. Just as hand washing was once considered an unnecessarily time consuming procedure in healthcare, I believe that mental ”cleanliness’ is too often over looked in the impact it has on our health and our bodies. Louis Hay is the next Ignaz Semmelweis (the advocate of hand hygiene in 1858), as she teaches a revolution in thought patterns and the use of intuition in conjunction with modern medicine.

Her book is absolutely useful for any person inhabiting a body. Who wouldn’t feel better when their thought patterns run along the lines of “All is well” instead of “the world is out to get me.” Don’t we naturally see improvement when we think thoughts of vitality instead of depression? Doesn’t the brain run every function of our body, the same brain which may be thinking “all is well” or, more often than not “nothing is well?” I think so. The better it gets, the better it gets!

Louise Hay’s book is well organized, so that you can find sections relevant to you immediately, or you may be the type of person who just loves to read positive transformational anecdotes (in which case, like me, you will read from start to finish). You will find a favorite thought to keep thinking in this book- mine is “harmony and beauty dwell within me,” and wouldn’t you like to believe they dwell within you? Might as well, right?

Louise Hay believes you can. For over three decades she has been publicly affirming that belief, creating a multi-national business along the way. Now Dr. Mona Schulz provides an updated review of Louise Hay's famous practical-yet-intuitive concepts and adds a medically anchored, scientific foundation to the mix. The result is an exciting new synthesis of science and metaphysics -- truly a match made in heaven.

The book is organized around seven emotional centers (some readers will recognize the chakra system) and the organs/body systems associated with those centers. Information about each center is merged with affirmations and case studies to help readers find their own way to the healing insights which will be of most value to them. Fans of Louise Hay will enjoy the expanded perspective of this refresher course. Readers new to Hay's ideas will find an easily accessible path through Hay's beloved self-healing protocol. There is truly magic on these pages, a magic known as LOVE.

I love Louise Hay. I've watched her videos, LOVED "You Can Heal Your Life" which told as much about her amazing story as it did about how you can heal your life and I also remember seeing the co-author of this book, Mona Lisa, on the video of You Can Heal Your Life - In fact, she was one of the most memorable people from the video.

The book was not what I thought it would be. First of all, Louise has done only the forward and the afterword, the book is by Mona Lisa Schulz. I enjoyed doing the comprehensive quiz at the beginning of the book but then it was hard to read through all the clinic case studies ... I went through the whole book, reading major chunks and getting the main message which is powerful and I don't think any doctor denies it: the big connection between mind and body and the power of healing that isin our own hands. It's just that the healing is not what the medical world focuses on. It focuses on fixing symptoms.

I applaud Dr. Schulz for sharing these insights with us. The format and layout of the book was just not very intuitive to me. I also was really hoping that Louise Hay had done some of the writing as it has her name on the book.

The books explores the healing of all diseases and illnesses using a combination of medicine and affirmations. As a regular user of affirmations, I know that a lot of my unhappiness and even physical ailments have improved with improving my mind and awareness so a 5 star on that, but the layout, the long clinic studies and the writing voice and style makes this a very dry and hard-to-read book.

Disclaimer: I received this book free from Hay House, Inc. in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive any form of compensation.

I have always been an avid reader of Louise L. Hay. I firmly believe that the energy you put forth through thought and action has a direct result on your health and life overall. So when I heard that she was writing All Is Well with a licensed physician, I was ecstatic. Essentially, this is the Heal Your Body book for this day and age. It plays a very similar role and function as that original book that was written back in the early 1980s. However, there is a ton of more detail and research that has been added.

First off, make sure you take the quiz in the beginning. This will help show you the areas you need to focus on the most. I advise reading the whole book, but placing an emphasis on the chapters that you scored the highest in. I need to place my most emphasis on chapters 6, 8 and 10. The reason that I say to read the whole book is because our bodies and spirits are an interdependent web. You can't just work on the weakest links. You need to work on all of it while ensuring that you pay specific attention to the weakest areas.

I love the fact that they show how important it is to integrate the alternative healing practices in with our modern medical technology. You should never walk away from a treatment that a licensed physician prescribes for you in hopes that an alternative healing practice will solve it all. There is no one stop shop for healing. Everything needs to come together in perfect balance in order for healing to take place.

The authors divide the body up into various emotional centers. They demonstrate how your beliefs can create an imbalance in each emotional center. They also then tell you what you can do to help yourself straighten out these imbalances.

The ideas that are presented in this book are so spot on. For example, they say that thyroid issues are because people are humiliated and don't always relate what they want to others. This is so true for me. I am always afraid to speak things for various reasons. For example, I could be with a few people and there is a conversation about topic A. I may have something that I want to chime in about, but before I get the chance, someone has changed the subject of the conversation. I am too embarrassed to go back to the original conversation and add my 2 cents worth since the topic has changed and "the moment has passed". So instead, I will hold it in. And I will feel embarrassed because then it seems like I have nothing worthwhile to say since I don't add anything to the conversation and just remain quiet. I have been attempting to change this. However, since I am pretty socially awkward, I don't feel that I can "pull it off" as smoothly as everyone else. Which of course leads to more embarrassment. So yea, that is definitely an area that I need to work on.

I've been reading various Louise Hay books for at least 20 years--and have enjoyed them. I've also read a bunch on intuitive medicine and healing. So, I was really looking forward to this book. Unfortunately, I just didn't love it. Although it's around 250 pages, I felt like I just didn't get much out of it. There are not a lot of affirmations. It is mainly case studies--which usually is good, although there is not enough general information to balance it out. There is just one table in the back, which gives an affirmation for some common conditions. The book divides the body into seven emotional centers:

1. Bones, Joints, Blood, Immune System, and Skin
2. Bladder, Reproductive Organs, Lower Back, and Hips
3. Digestive System, Weight, Adrenal Glands, Pancreas and Addiction
4. Heart, Lungs, and Breasts
5. Mouth, Neck, and Thyroid
6. Brain, Eyes, and Ears
7. Chronic and Degenerative Disorders and Life-Threatening Illness

Honestly, the best piece of advice was in the opening quote by Louise Hay:

"Whenever there is a problem, repeat over and over:

All is well.
Everything is working out for my highest good.
Out of this situation only good will come.
I am save.

It will work miracles in your life."

Our bodies have messages for us, sometimes those messages are hard to decipher or we don't want to hear them so we shut them up with pills or potions. Or we put it down to bad luck, bad timing, or bad genes.

Don't get me wrong, medicine certainly has it's place. But sometimes it's confusing knowing where that place is exactly.

So I was delighted to learn about the new book All is Well: Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations, and Intuition. The book blends the best of scientific facts in medicine and metaphysical intuition to decode the messages our bodies bring us and help them heal effectively. It's not all about your mind and it's not all about medicine. Both have their place and through this book you can blend the practices and better understand your body and improve your health.

Co-Written by Louise Hay, a pioneer in the power of positive thinking, and neuropsychiatrist Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz, each woman brings her wealth of knowledge and healing to the forefront so you can easily learn how best to begin the journey of healing whatever ails you, everything from abdominal cramps to cancer and everything in between.

The book is much more than mere affirmations (which are quite powerful in their own right) and each chapter dives deeper into an emotional center and gives you a deeper description as well as case studies.

If you want a manual on how to best understand the messages your body is telling you, whether it's eczema, a migraine, or something more serious, I highly recommend picking up a copy of All is Well: Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations, and Intuition.

Most readers who are interested in affirmations and intuitive healing are well aware of Louise Hay one of the founders and teachers of this type of thinking. Mona Lisa Schultz, M.D., PhD is Louise's contemporary who set out to use her scientific and medical training to prove correlation between physical and emotional body. So what for decades used to be Louise's "gut feeling" on how body operates becomes explained by Mona Lisa through medical terms and simple to understand explanations of body physiology and pharmacology.

The book starts with a test that uses yes and no answers. The score of yes answers determines areas of body that require attention. Monta Lisa calls those areas "emotional centers" and there are seven of them, each connected to the major body organs. When reading this book, once can choose to just take a test and focus on reading chapters that affect that individuals' emotional centers that require healing. I took an opposite approach. I read the entire book first, then took the test and re-evaluated scores/chapters that showed emotional weaknesses. I then re-read the chapters regadring emotional centers that for me personally are out of balance and require healing. I was amazed by the accuracy of the evaluation. It was fascinating to learn what types of emotions (fear for example) can lead to physical illness. But what I really liked is that Mona Lisa recommends integrative approach to the healing process. That process follows the basic rule: see medical doctor and receive proper evalution and plan for medical treatment. Find a physician who incorporated integrative healing approach to healing. That person will recommend alternative medicine option such as: acupunture, herbal remedies, etc.; easy to follow 30 minute/day exercise routine(s) and then a final prescription will be made for affirmations that will change thinking pattens and focus the brain on healing.

At the end of the book is a table listing major illnesses (e.g. heart disease, cancer, arthritis, etc.). Each illness/disease/problem lists a probable cause for it: emotional hurt, anger, fear); and then there is a column that provides a "new thought pattern" - positive affirmations that will change individual's outlook on life and promote emotional self healing and recovery.

I have decided to keep book at work on the shelves and I found out that many of my colleagues "consult it" on occasion. I like the idea that recovery of our body is in our mind and soul, food we eat, exercise and affirmation we repeat as mantras. With all methods incorporated together it is possible to heal and feel better about oneself and the world around us.

Normally, reading about affirmations annoys me, but this book is so pleasant and comforting- that I actually liked this. And that's pretty much what is going on here: if you repeat thoughts that make you feel happy, healthy and safe, you become more of those things. Or (at least) you become better at noting the good things and letting the bad roll off your back.

I don't mind this in theory - it's a lot of the Law of Attraction concept, tweaked with physical health in mind.

All Is Well raises things a step up, discussing how emotions trigger actual chemical bloodstream reactions, leading to possible illness and disease.

One example: Schultz discusses how prolonged exposure to Cortisol - the stress hormone - depresses the immune system, leads to weight gain, and can send one into a depressive state. The adrenal glands become exhausted; the pancreas is overworked. It's like a cascade effect, where each gland and organ gets involved.

The treatment: lower your stress levels. With proper lifestyle changes, this is actually possible. A lot of this book covers how to get there, providing case studies in each chapter that illustrate what others have done.

There is an aspect of the oovy-groovy underlying the entire book (affirmations say things like "Trust in the Divine...I bless my body with love...I listen with love to my inner voice"). Again, while often things like this make me want to gag, for some reason I accept much of this here. Thinking positively has been shown elsewhere to improve mental health and cognition, so hopefully, a book like this can only help matters.

I appreciated the All Is Well tables in Chapter Eleven, that puts health symptoms next to corresponding emotional issues. I also like the Self Assessment Quiz.

It all reminds me of astrology, really, for what it's worth. Don't expect a lot of science here. Clearly, I'm having trouble reconciling this book with how I see myself, but I liked it anyway.

II was looking forward to reading this book because more than 20 years ago Louise played a huge role in helping me to Heal My Life with her book "You Can Heal Your Life".

I was not disappointed by reading "All Is Well: Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations, and Intuition". It is not just a documentation of case studies -- but it presents patients with sometimes overwhelming problems who are treated by a doctor who sees much more than just appearances, and views the patients' problems as part of a much bigger picture. I personally think the healing that was accomplished was because of the way the whole person, not just the symptoms, is addressed and treated. Doctor Schulz "prescribes" medication, nutritional advice, and positive affirmations to her patients, as well as referring them to specialists who can further aid the healing process. She views her patients' problems using a multi-faceted "Whole-istic" approach, treating body, mind and spirit, demonstrating to the reader that sometimes "Mind over Matter" IS a crucial part of the healing process.

The Tables in the back of the book should, IMHO, be viewed as suggestions -- and certainly the positive affirmations suggested there should not be viewed as a healing panacea, but only as part of a healing process, and those affirmations could also be used in the absence of physical problems, just because they "set the tone" for the subconscious, which in turn could make for a more positive life experience.

However, in terms of practicality and inspiration, this is a unique and "user-friendly" book. Doctor Schulz brings a Physician's as well as a Metaphysician's viewpoint to the health problems that ail us and her patients, presenting us with cases from her own files, helping to heal her patients by adding the allopathic treatments her wisdom and experience -- in addition to the holistic, meditation-al and positive-thinking approach that Louise so beautifully presented us with in her first (and subsequent) book(s). I wish this world had MORE doctors like Doctor Schulz.

Louise Hay is the pioneer of healing with affirmations. Before her, this was a foreign concept. Now, she and Mona Lisa Schulz have combined their expertise to create this book, specifically focusing on how to heal the body with focused intention.

Affirmations are a tool to focus intention. This book helps you focus your intention to heal your physical body. The best part is that it shows how to combine your current situation with positivity. Even if you feel like you are in a very "bad" or "negative" space, this book shows you a positive way out of it.

It is the first book ever to show how you can use prescriptions, doctor's suggestions, and all other forms of Western medicine ALONG WITH the power of the mind, focused intention, and the positive power of Alternative therapies.

There IS 'hope'.

So, if you are being drawn to this book - order it.

It CANNOT 'hurt'. It CAN help!

"Whenever there is a problem, repeat over and over: All is well. Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation only good will comes. I am safe."

All Is Well: Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations, and Intuition By Louise L. Hay and Mona Lisa Schulz, M.D. PhD. is a book that blends the concepts of intuition and western medicine. This book combines the best of using affirmations, intuition, and scientific medicine to help us create a life of health and wellness.

A worthy companion through the dark valleys, a wonderful collection of affirmations that provide words and images that open a healing path. These affirmations are honest in there description of the human situation and encouraging in expressing the hope of God's consolation and healing love.

The passages in the book filled the void I had been feeling. Now, whenever I am sad or afraid, I pick up the book and read my favorite affirmations over again. They give me a comfort I've not found in another book. A must-have for anyone who needs peace from time to time.

I was given this book by NetGalley. [...]

Just know that although the cover identifies the authors as "Louise L. Hay and Mona Lisa Schulz," the real author is Schulz. They put Hay's name up front because she's marketable, but it seems that Hay wrote just five paragraphs: three paragraphs for "A Welcome Note from Louise" and a few more sentences at the end for "A Final Note from Louise." The rest is all Schulz, although she makes ample use of the affirmation method that Hay popularized. That said, it's a valuable book if you keep an open mind and don't write off the power of positive thinking as self-deception. I'm sure many readers did dismiss Hay's blockbuster "You Can Heal Your Life" book as New Age claptrap, but to me the evidence appears overwhelming that not only can your thoughts and emotions make you sick, they can also cure you. Schulz is an M.D., so she has more credibility than a layman (as Hay herself is), and she emphasizes that modern medicine is vital in addressing many health issues. The combination of conventional medicine and positive affirmations logically must be more effective than either method alone. The "keeper" value of this book is the comprehensive table near the back that matches health problems with their probable causes and then offers "new thought patterns" or affirmations that can help each issue. This book may actually help you heal you life.

I was intrigued by Louise Hay's newest book, written with Mona Lisa Schulz titled, All is Well. It takes the idea of utilizing your body’s intuition, affirmation, medicine, and understanding the emotional centers of the body to heal yourself. The book has each emotional center split up by chapters and along with details about what areas of the body are affected by each emotional center it utilizes case studies of people showing how everything is tied together with your body.

The nice thing about this book is that it isn’t designed to be read cover to cover. It starts with a “Self-Assessment Quiz” to see what areas you should focus on. Using the answers from the quiz you can then turn to the corresponding areas and just read that section.

This book is a good introduction if you are coming from the mindset of modern medicine is the only way to cure what ails me rather than someone who already uses a few alternative medicine practices in their life. For me, I regularly use herbal medicine for colds and such and have use an acupuncturist in the past, and found this book lacking in some areas. But it is truly set up to give a complete newcomer a view into a new way to achieve whole body health.

If you are someone who has never thought of using anything other than the advice of your doctor I’d recommend this book just to get a new perspective on how to heal your mind and body. But if you are, like me, someone who has already spent some time dabbling in alternative health and know a fair bit this book might lack some of the in depth information you would be looking for.

Overall, I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because it does do a wonderful job of setting the stage to use affirmations to change some of the negative mindsets you have that contribute to certain health problems.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free from Hay House for review purposes. The following are my personal and honest opinions.

"All Is Well: Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations, and Intuition" by Louise L. Hay and Mona Lisa Schulz, M.D., Ph.D. explores the connection between the health of our minds and the health of our bodies.

The premise is that our thinking, in addition to our genetics, environment, diet, exercise and other lifestyle habits, affect our health. For example, if we're thinking negatively over a long period of time, we're releasing different things in our body in response to the stress... and that can affect our organs and our whole body.

The book provides case studies that illustrate how illnesses can develop in part because of our thoughts. Then, the case studies go into the treatment plans that have been used to bring individuals back to full health. Treatment recommendations are pretty well rounded, including conventional medicine in addition to alternative therapies. So, the individuals in the case studies become healthier by using western and eastern modalities together.

The book includes specific affirmations that can be used to reverse different health conditions (in conjunction with medicine, complementary therapies and other lifestyle changes). These are aimed at replacing negative thinking patterns we may have held for a very long time, that have contributed to negative effects on our bodies from the stress and negative lifestyle habits we may have adopted as unhealthy coping methods.

Worth a read to learn about new perspectives on health and more ways we can take care of ourselves. At times, I thought the book was tedious especially if it was talking about areas where I'm already pretty healthy. I read the entire book all the way through, but it might be more convenient to skip to sections pertaining to areas of your health that you want to improve. The book can be repetitive and the affirmations seem pretty similar for all kinds of different health conditions. When I was reading, I definitely had a good dose of skepticism.

Now that I've had some time to think, I can see that at least it doesn't hurt to incorporate more positive thinking if it helps relax our minds and bodies. And once we're calmed down rather than thinking chaotic and upsetting thoughts, it's easier for us to incorporate health enhancing changes in our lives.

I chose this book out of curiosity, because I had heard a few things about Louise Hay and her publishing company Hay House. While I do believe there is much that the mind can do to help heal the body, I'm not entirely convinced that Hay and co-author Mona Lisa Schulz's conclusions are credible. They are a little too "New Age-y" for me, I guess.

But if you are interested in alternative healing methods and have an open mind, you may find this book useful. It includes a quiz that helps you assess your health and emotions and where you should start on the path to healing. The book then goes on to introduce the different emotional centers of the body and how emotional problems translate into physical ones and how to go about healing them.

Finally, the book ends with a table listing problems, probable causes and new thought patterns that will lead to healing.

As for myself I will stick with the teachings of Dr. Daniel Amen, but this books may be useful to others.

Ms. Hay is a prolific author whose works embrace an almost mystical approach to health and well-being. Her co-author, Mona Lisa Schultz is an MD and Ph.D.; her experiences as a medical student and resident fostered her beliefs there is more to healing than allopathic medicine.

These sorts of books set up a conflict for me: I'm a very positive person, and a therapist by trade, so I strongly believe in the power of the mind to influence how we feel. Yet. . . I'm not convinced we can heal our bodies of serious illnesses by positive thinking, affirmations, etc. alone.

The authors provide an extensive table in the back of the book which lists a number of human ailments, psychological and physical, with accompanying thoughts about what might be triggering the
dis-ease and positive affirmations to help speed healing.

In my opinion, using the ideas and suggestions in this book along with medical treatment is a win-win situation.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about how affirmations and medicine can work together to heal specific health problems. I first encountered Louis Hay through my yoga instructor, who suggested I read “The Power is Within You”. After reading this book I wished I could meet with Louise Hay in person to have her evaluate me and work with me on several issues that were reoccurring in my life. This book is the answer to that wish.

“All is Well” allowed me to evaluate my current health conditions and know where and how to put focus on healing them. There is even a case study that goes with each condition to give exact examples of how affirmations, modern medicine, holistic medicine, and nutrition have been used to heal people. With my own sister being a Naturopathic Doctor, I was familiar with many of the holistic and nutrition solutions, but was not as familiar with how affirmations can work in tandem to help heal.

The self-assessment quiz at the beginning also helps you know which conditions you need to work on by evaluating your current health and emotions. Overall, this book gave me more insight into my health and well-being than expected and I would recommend this book to those dealing with long-standing, chronic health conditions.

I fall into the middle ground of possible reactions to this book -- I acknowledge that quiet frequently we make ourselves sick, but I also know sometimes bad things just happen and it really has nothing to do with an individual's mental state and everything to do with freak accidents -- being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I am a freak accident. I was born with a genetic mutation that makes my bones brittle. It was determined from the moment I was conceived...before my consciousness existed. This book would suggest that I manifested that somehow, as well as any accompanying symptoms.

That said.

I can freak out about my health from time to time and make a minor situation feel like a major one, and I think that is where affirmations can come in very handy. In addition to copy (which is interesting in spots and borderline offensive in others), there is an affirmations chart you can reference for particular ailments. Many of these are very similar and simple, but the words aren't the healing, the thinking is.

I enjoy finding new avenues for body healing, I have PCOS, Adrenal Fatigue, and have become overweight since these problems showed up. For the most part I have taken supplements and tried changing my lifestyle and eating habits, in which they have helped. Reasons why I took longer to write a review was because I was testing out some of the affirmations to see if I noticed a difference, in which I did!

*Note: I recommend getting the paperback instead of the hardcover

So let me break down the book to you, this is not your typical Louis Hay book, there is a medical stand point as well written with Mona Lisa Schulz, she explains the medical side of Louise's explanation. However at the beginning of the book there is a short questionnaire that you have to fill out to find out in which areas you need to improve upon. There are 7 areas, and although is does not state it in the book, I believe that these have to do with your 7 Chakra systems, in which I really like. The one thing that bothered me was that there was no Appendix, no Table of Contents for the actual issues, instead there is a table of contents for the 7 areas, but it's not a big deal after reading through it. Just like any Louise Hay book, this one has a chart containing all the issues and the affirmations needed, select one that resonates to you and make it a habit every morning or every time you're near a mirror and say it with full intention and joy. The content of the book is great, is short, descriptive, and useful, I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for spiritual healing alternatives, plus is also great to have as part of your book collection, even if you don't have any difficulties is great to read the affirmations.

This book deals with the mind-body connection. Louise Hay and Mona Lisa Schulz go from body part to body part, separating the body into seven main parts, and explaining the link between an ailment there and the psychological problem that may help to manifest it. They also list affirmations and tips on how to improve the emotional well-being, in order to improve the physical well-being.

This book seems like it could be a very useful one for many. The connections that the authors make seem logical, and the tips they give to ameliorate the ailments seem to be helpful.

All Is Well: Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations, and Intuition, the new book co-written by Louise Hay and Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz, is the perfect complement to Louise Hay's classic, You Can Heal Your Life. For starters, Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz--who also has a weekly radio show on HayHouse Radio--is brilliant in the way she brings together the various disciplines of science, modern medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and what she calls "intuitive thinking."

Chapter 1 introduces us to the concept of integrative healing, as well as the variety of modalities that fall under that umbrella. I was pleased to discover that Dr. Schulz doesn't hesitate to discuss the importance of using intuition--in particular, the body's intuition--along with emotions, facts, and logic in order to help one decipher the nature of a potential dis-ease or imbalance in the body.

Chapter 2 contains the self-assessment quiz, which is divided into seven sections, and covers lifestyle habits and physical health problems. The scores obtained for each section gives the reader insight as to which of the seven emotional centers require attention and why. I loved the way Dr. Schulz paired each emotional center with a set of systems within the body, and then tied those in with the appropriate healing affirmations from Louise Hay's body of work.

Chapters 4-10 are devoted to explaining each of the seven emotional centers, their functions, and the lifestyle issues that affect each region of the human anatomy. The author covers quite a bit of ground in this phenomenal book that reads more like a straightforward conversation with her, than a medical journal. The case files that were presented in each chapter sounded like some of her most complicated cases, yet the end results were always inspiring and encouraging, because the patients were eventually willing to participate in their own health care.

All Is Well: Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations, and Intuition is such a departure from the norm. It's filled with compassionate wisdom, powerful affirmations, and delightful humor--Dr. Schulz's vibrant personality comes through on every page. The best part about this book is that it can be referred to over and over again as a reference manual for bringing the physical and emotional body back into balance--just like the classic, You Can Heal Your Life. I highly recommend both of these books for those who are interested in combining metaphysical healing practices with conventional medicine to achieve the best outcomes for their health and well-being. All really is well!

I have always believed that a healthy body needs a healthy mind. We all know our body better than anyone else, and we need to continue to question everything concerning our health care. We cannot blindly follow the advice of any doctor. They typically make decisions based on statistics and the limited information generally provide to them by the patient.
Believe in your own intuition, and follow your gut instinct.
This book is one that I will continue to refer back to for reassurance and support. Very well written and make you wonder and think.
