What to expect from the Ruthless Gentleman: off-the-charts sexual tension between a hot, trailblazing, British alpha in a tailor-fit suit and a loyal and hard-working chief stewardess who will do everything for her loved ones, set in a superyacht in the Mediterranean, with intrigue, suspense, revenge in a sizzling forbidden romance that will keep you on your toes.

Luxury superyacht chief stewardess Avery Walker is ready to fly back home after the season to spend time with her family, but when the captain asks her to join a last-minute, two-month cruise in the Mediterranian for a mystery client, she ends up going. Her family could use the money for her brother's health bills, and this cruise promises a lot.

CEO Hayden Wolf needs this business deal to push through because he might lose his company if he doesn't. With a potential mole sniffing around and feeding information to his rival company, he has to be as discreet as possible and keep this venture from the public; so he goes off the grid and books a yacht in the Mediterranian for two months. As good as that sounds, this is no pleasure trip. He still needs to work his butt off to get the company he's trying to acquire while waiting for his brother to sniff out the rat.

Even though the staff passed the extensive background check done by his brother, Hayden can't take chances. No one can use their laptops and phones to contact people while they're off the shore, and most importantly, no one but the chief stewardess is allowed in his private chambers.

Avery and Hayden feel that undeniable connection between them as they spend more time together but respect each other enough to not take the leap. There is a strict policy for staff not to engage in affairs with their clients. Even if Avery is easy to talk to, and Hayden isn't the stoic, shady man he appeared to be, they can't do it. Right?

Avery can't afford to lose her job and Hayden can't afford to lose his focus on the deal, so is what they have worth risking it all?

I'm not usually a fan of alpha men in contemporary books, but Louise Bay's alpha is my kind of alpha. Men in suits who take charge in the boardroom and bedroom, who do not usurp the power of their partner. True leaders who will defend and fiercely protect everyone under his care. Hayden Wolf is all of that and more. He worked hard to be where he is and is vigilant in finding the leak so he can protect and save his company. He goes for what he wants and won't stop until he gets them.

I admire Avery's efforts in helping her family, sacrificing her own happiness and dreams for her brother. She is loyal, understanding, and incredibly smart. Like Hayden, she's a born leader.

I love the build-up of the tension between Avery and Hayden, the push and pull of the chemistry, and the moment when they finally gave in. There's a little bit of slow burn at the start, that part where they feel the connection so strongly but are unsure if it's anything more than attraction.

The Ruthless Gentleman is an enjoyable read filled with heat, mystery, lies, second chances, and love. From the incredibly steamy scenes on the boat to the day-out at picturesque Taormina, you'll wish you were on that cruise with them.

Someone take me to Taormina now. Please.

“Believe in me. Believe in us.”

Two people from completely different worlds. A chemistry that burns brighter with each turn of the page. A beautiful love story laced with mystery, emotion, and intrigue. Louise Bay’s latest standalone romance, THE RUTHLESS GENTLEMEN, was a feel-good love story with plenty of scorching hot scenes, jet-setting adventures, and witty banter. Hayden and Avery can try to fight their connection every step of the way, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Sometimes the consequences are worth it when it comes to the people you love. They have to find out if the risk they are willing to take for one another is worth the possible heartbreak and professional fallout that is sure to come.

Louise Bay always NAILS it in my book! She gives us love stories with an emotional edge that I can’t seem to get enough of. These characters are amazing! This story is so entertaining! The writing is fantastic, as always! THE RUTHLESS GENTLEMEN is an addictive romance that will just make you feel good all over. It was a fast read for me, but it was packed with so much romance, emotion, and surprises. I devoured it in one sitting and FELL HARD for Hayden and Avery. This romance, with a dash of the forbidden and a sprinkle of suspense, was everything I could have ever wanted from a contemporary romance!

Louise Bay has done it again!!! Another outstanding book that once you open and start reading you drown in her words. And with The Ruthless Gentleman that’s exactly what I did, I fell in and didn’t come out til I was finished of course that’s not unusual with one of her books. Hayden and Avery are as hot as the Mediterranean that they are docked in. I love the chemistry and how as much as they try to stay away from each other they can’t. But Hayden has a lot of trust issues due to a traitor in is company. And even though he doesn’t believe Avery could do anything untrustworthy a picture can tell a story and one he really didn’t want to hear. Shocked and heartbroken Avery can’t believe that Hayden just blew her off and didn’t believe her or didn’t even care to hear her side of the story. Ugh this story goes from so sweet and sexy and scorching hawt to breaking your heart and you wanting to smack Hayden up side the head. You will go through every emotion under the sun and keep wanting more. You will be screaming yes yes yes in your head over some things that Hayden does for Avery because it’s just so just is all I’m going to give you!! I was so disappointed when this book ended because I wasn’t ready for it to be over!!! I never wanted it to end. I love Louise Bay’s books she never disappoints!! I highly highly recommend this book!!! - By Tina

Exciting sexy and suspenseful this story is so intriguing it was impossible to put down!
You must meet Hayden!!
This delicious hot alpha is smooth and sophisticated on the outside, but pure raw energy on the inside. A real wolf!
Discovering Hayden’s secrets made this a must read!!!
Well developed complex and complicated characters, this unique story was intense as the the build up starts revealing clues regarding the mystery surrounding Hayden.
Trying to unfold where the story is going and what is going on with the characters kept me on the edge of my seat.
Behind the steamy and sexy romance between Hayden and Avery there’s a story of honor and trust. Hayden is on a mission to restore his reputation and get his business on track. There’s a mole in his inner circle and it’s costing him more than his livelihood. His method for fixing this problem was more than just unorthodox and the least thing he imagined was meeting Avery. Except he did and she proved that she was more than just a good steward.
Passionate emotional and thrilling as Hayden begins to discover who’s spilling his secrets his world and Avery’s take a few unexpected twists.
Well paced and easy to follow, the chemistry between the characters had me flying through the pages to see how their story would unfold.
4.5 stars!

The Ruthless Gentleman is the first book that I have read by Louise Bay, and it was amazing! She drew me in from the very first page and I found it hard to put the book down. It is loaded with romance, passion, mystery, and suspense. Hayden Wolf aka The Ruthless Gentleman takes a working holiday on a yacht, Avery Walker is the chief stewardess on this yacht and she takes her job very seriously, strictly professional at all times. That is until the sparks start to fly between her and Hayden, making it nearly impossible to remain professional, but her dad and brother are counting on her, so she cannot do anything to screw up her job. Hayden is rich, sexy, used to getting his own way, while Avery is funny, sexy, smart and dedicated. On the yacht, Hayden continues to work while his brother hunts down the spy in Hayden's company, a situation that has made Hayden more suspicious of everyone. You will have to read it to find out more, I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Just let me say that I bet you end up loving Hayden Wolf, I know I did.
This was a fantastic book and one that you don't want to miss, five ruthless stars all the way!!

Another hit from this crazy talented author!

Fans of the show Below Deck on BRAVO... hold on to your panties because The Ruthless Gentleman will satisfy all the cravings you have for it. Ironically I was watching reruns of this show while devouring this tasty little morsel from Louise Bay... and what I got was epic in every single way.

Eight weeks is going to change everything for them and no matter how much they fight what's happening between them and no matter the circumstances controlling their life, a beautiful, fiery, passionate love is developing slowly but surely.

Explosive tension, undeniable chemistry, one amazing experience, and two completely unforgettable characters. Louise knocked it out of the park with this book and delivered the ultimate romantic experience with The Ruthless Gentleman. I rode the roller coaster of emotions that came with the irresistible Hayden Wolf and got seduced the entire journey.

If you like your books a little angsty, a whole lot of steamy, and totally unstoppable then give Louise Bay a go.

I highly recommend this book.

There is something magical about Louise Bay's writing. Her characters are always so well developed and feel like you know them and the world they are from. I read this book with a lump in my throat as I completely fell for Hayden and Avery. Hayden is a rich guy who can't trust anyone and is constantly doubting himself for it. Avery is all smiles as she works hard to provide for her brother and father half a world away. She finally lets down her guard with Hayden and the story that is told is magical.

I loved these two. The story pulled at my heart strings as I got to know both of them and their backgrounds. I loved how they were both so close to their families and would do anything for them. The world that Hayden and Avery live in is one that I would love to be in. The drive and passion they have for those they love is inspiring.

Hayden stole my heart as he realized his mistakes and fought for Avery. Avery is such a strong heroine in the respect that she is truly a good person and stands up for what she believes. I loved these two together! I hope there is more coming from this world because I didn't want to leave!

I experienced this book in both by reading it and via audio and it is simply a great read and an excellent audio. I have been a Louise bay fan for over 2 years now and I think her writing and her storytelling just keeps getting better and better. The way that the scenery and the ambiance on the yacht is described completely draws you in. I want it to be real and I wanted to be aboard the ATHENA. The chemistry and the build up between Hayden and Avery is stellar. Avery is a strong and sassy female, with so much heart and a great sense of loyalty that I want her to be my bestie!!! She is laser focused on her job as a Stewardess in a private yacht that when Hayden Wolfe comes aboard as her guest she is thrown for a loop... same as him. Hayden is all business and no play... until it all unravels and things become very interesting. Louise always writes very real people and situations and that is one of the reasons I always enjoy her books. She can write emotions from all over the spectrum and still deliver sexyness, action and fun times. Bravo Louise on another great gentleman to add to your collection!!

After Hayden’s last projects went sideways he knows that he has a traitor in his midst. Efforts to find the culprit have been unsuccessful to date and it is impacting the reputation of his company. While his brother investigates further he decides to secure a private yacht to complete his next project and everyone on board will be completely vetted.

Avery is a chief stewardess who was scheduled to go on leave. When she offered a position on the yacht the financial compensation was too much to turn down especially since her family needs it.

Hayden has the yacht basically in lockdown and the only person allowed in his quarters will be Avery. Their close contact causes the chemistry between them to ignite but knowing that any relations with the visitors will result in Avery’s termination will they be able to keep their relationship strictly business?

Their adventure on the high seas is filled with suspense, deceit, twists and hot chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

She has done it again. Louise leaves you wanting more when the book is finished. Her books flow smoothly. If you want a good book to read and have never tried Louise's book, this is the book to pick up.
This book is about opposite lifestyles being attracted to each other. They are both driven in their worlds. Our female character's name is Avery. She is the chief stewardess for luxury cruises. She is just getting off a season and is ready to head home to California. She did not dream of having this job but it helps pay for her brother's physical therapy. She planned on going to college. She is offered this great chance to make more money than she usually does but it means she doesn't get her break between seasons.

Our male character's name is Hayden. He owns his own company. The deals he has made in past year has been getting ruined by another company. He has a mole somewhere and he needs to figure it out quickly before he loses his best client. He goes on a luxury yacht for 8 weeks.
They try to fight the attraction from the start. He does things to show her that he is a different person then he is letting on but she does the opposite of what he wants. They finally let the attraction lead them into something but something bad happen. Avery is blamed for something that she didn't do. Does Hayden realize that he made a mistake in not trusting her and the person he came to know? Or does the issue come between them? Read the book to find out more.

The Ruthless Gentleman is the all new stand-alone by Louise Bay that is off the charts AMAZING! Every book Ms Bay writes gives you every single thing you want in a story. The Ruthless Gentleman was hot, steamy, and unputdownable. I seriously devoured it.

After an accident that had her brother paralyzed, Avery will do anything to make ends meet. She works as a stewardess on a yacht and never socializes with the guests. When a client rents the yacht, little did Avery know how much her life was about to change…

Hayden is a successful and ruthless CEO. He has no inclination to start a relationship so when he rents a yacht for two months, and sparks start flying with the stewardess, he has no idea what to do. Will he be able to keep to himself and stay away from Avery…

I loved loved loved this story! The writing, the chemistry between the characters and just the overall feeling of the book was FANTASTIC. I am so looking forward to seeing what’s next for Ms. Bay!

The Ruthless Gentleman by Louise Bay is replete with originality, captivating characters, and hot, sexy times. The story primarily takes place on a luxurious yacht, the Athena, which is cruising along the Mediterranean. Simultaneously, corporate espionage and homesickness are in the limelight. The two main characters, chief stewardess Avery Walker, and billionaire businessman Hayden Wolf, are attracted to each other the moment they are introduced, which makes for a bouncy ride over the water. It is Avery's job to cater to Hayden's every whim, which should be easy to accomplish since he is the only guest on the cruise.

I really enjoyed this book. Ms. Bay writes with a very clear voice and she balances the many happenings with the greatest of ease. If you enjoy a novel with a strong heroine, a little angst, and a hero that just won't give up, then check out this meaningful read. Overall, this is an exciting book that twists and turns in all the right places.

The Ruthless Gentleman was a very captivating book. Usually when I'm saying that in a review it means there was some great big mystery or drama that had me so intrigued. But with this book there wasn't any one specific thing that had me so drawn to it. It was just the easy way the story floated along the pages. I loved that it was pretty much a light story and these characters were so likable.

The heat level was a little low but the book made up for that in all the sexual tension that was sizzling between Hayden and Avery. I loved that we got to see them try to fight what they were feeling but ultimately there was no chance in them not giving in.

Overall, I think this book is perfect for anyone and I definitely recommend giving it a try. It has the chemistry, the tension, sweetness, a little suspense thrown in. Just everything to make this a great read.

From the moments both characters were introduced to the point that they finally give in to their lust for one another and then the realization that they were in love up till when everything fell apart and then ultimately came back together, I was all in. Hayden and Avery were the kind of couple that you couldn't look away from. Their story demanded my full attention and that was exactly what they got. In return, I got myself a great romance that had some intrigue with it thanks to some corporate espionage that was going on. The book also had some memorable supporting characters--from Hayden's brother and Avery's father and brother to the rest of the staff and crew aboard the yacht, the story was further enhanced by these characters that helped push it forward. Five stars for The Ruthless Gentleman, and I hope Louise Bay's future releases are as good as this one! ♥

Another fantastic book by Louise Bay! Hayden Wolf and Avery Walker, Avery spends her life taking care of everyone else and never taking care of what she needs, she feels like it’s her redemption because of her brothers accidebt. Hayden is a too stuffy, ruthless business man that doesn’t have room in his life for anything more that a one night stand. They meet when she is assigned as the head stewardess on the private yacht he chartered. Little by little he lets her into his life and they start a romance only they can know about. Someone wants to destroy Hayden and tries to bribe Avery into telling them the info they want to hear. Misunderstandings and betrayals tear them apart but they eventually find their way back to each other after the truth is revealed. Once you start this you won’t be able to put it down. LOVED IT!

If Ethan and Alex are the bread, then Hayden Wolf just became my filling in this ultimate SubBay sandwich ? I've just devoured The Ruthless Gentleman, and ladies you are in for a treat. I got sunshine, super yachts, scenery, story and scorching sex.

Hayden is my kryptonite, a penthouse living, boardroom domineering, panty melting CEO, and in The Ruthless Gentleman he does it with great British style. Who needs the hustle and bustle of the city, millions of people pushing their way through life, pollution, smog, traffic, when you can charter a super yacht and work with a vista of St Tropaz opposed to St Paul's (which is also a pretty good view).

I was floating around the Med in my head (yep I rhymed it), lounging on my sunbed, the scent of Hawaiian Tropic sun oil, sunglasses on, a chilled glass of Prosecco in my hand with little dishes of olives, crostini, tapanade, listening to the waves lapping against the stern as I enjoyed the tale of 2 independent strong willed characters, overcoming their fears and pushing boundaries as they dealt with lifes troubles at sea.

The Ruthless Gentleman was a perfect escapism in fiction, Hayden and Avery just clicked there was nothing not to like about these 2 characters, they both win your heart, Louise nailed it. I also commend the side characters Landon, Skyler, August, Eric, Captain Moss. I wouldn't mind objectifying Landon's brawn a little more... Hint hints Ms Bay

The one thing that always stands out for me in Louise's books are the heroines, they are always strong independent ladies, Anna, Mackenzie, Beth The Baker, Violet etc and now Avery Walker. Yes they want love and their Prince Charming but they can also stand on their own 2 feet and live.

Fantastic book Louise!!!

Louise Bay is one of my favorite writers. Her heroes always have this dominate nature, like the silent, confident, uber-sexy man, her heroines are always incredibly likable and rival their male counterparts, and she writes some of the hottest scenes ever to grace the pages of a contemporary romance novel. The Ruthless Gentleman, not surprisingly has every single one of these aspects.

Hayden Wolfe is very reminiscent of her most recent heroes - silent, broody, hot, and oozing sex appeal. Hayden, though, is shrouded in a bit of mystery when we first meet him, and the reason for hiring this select crew seems eccentric. Obviously, as the plot progresses and his character is developed we learn more about his motivation to charter this voyage, and the reason makes us love him a bit more. It shows that he is a good man, trying to honor the people he loves, and he is doing anything he can to salvage what is left. He is a noble character, which is one of the many reasons, readers want him to give into his desires and allow himself to connect with Avery.

Avery is also a virtuous character. She works very hard to provide for her family, and it is the main aspect that drives her actions throughout the book. Her desires and attraction to Hayden, obviously, causes problems for her, as she struggles with her wants and her responsibilities. Again, because she is a great heroine, we want her to throw caution into the wind and take a chance on Hayden.

While I enjoyed the overall story, the pacing at the beginning is a bit slow. Their chemistry is fantastic as a couple and the mystery surrounding Hayden is intriguing, but I found myself wanting to get to the good stuff, the moment when they finally give into their desires and succumb to the inevitable forbidden nature of the relationship. The pay off is certainly worth it, as Louise Bay always delivers some of the hottest moments in existence between characters, especially for a non-erotic genre. I also found that the conflicts are not surprising, and, although realistic, they easily remedied, which didn't help with the slow pacing at the beginning.

The Ruthless Gentleman, while not my favorite Louise Bay novel, is still completely entertaining. She provides a delectable hero, a heroine to adore, and enough chemistry and mystery to keep readers entertained, and, as always, the writing is well done. It is certainly worth a read.

Received in exchange for a honest review.

In typical Louise Bay style we get a slow building romance that sizzles the pages, has a relationship outside the bed develop first and a little suspense to boot. The main characters are compassionate, honest, hardworking and smart. they are hard not to like for they are just honest, fair and flawed. Family is so important to them. We get the mystery of who is sabotaging Hayden's deals, finding love with Avery fighting it on both sides, strong moral character and an engaging story.

The story begins with Hayden questioning who is betraying him while trying to keep his investors and his business afloat and Avery trying to figure out how to get her brother more physical therapy. Each are family oriented and driven.

Hayden is the guy you lean on and love to have as support. He is fair but stern, honest, kind and loyal. I love his moral compass when it comes to Cannon. I also love his love and how proud he is of his brother. The only aspect he does need to change is how he is with people. His assistant for example. She has been with him from the beginning and yet he couldn’t tell you about her personal life. He needs to go less serious and more the Hayden in private that Avery gets to know with others. He is a sexy smart guy who is kind and caring. What he does when he learns of how far Cannon goes to get their way has me swoon. He truly is a great guy.

Avery is strong, independent, smart and sweet. Her guilt over her brother drives her in her job but her pride and honor is what keeps her going. Like Hayden she is hardworking and caring. She takes pride in her job and has a code she follows. Even when tempted she thinks of her morals and keeping her head high instead of what the money can do for her. She, like Hayden, loves her family fiercely.

These two together are amazing. Their chemistry sizzles the pages. Their personalities mesh and they understand how the other feels and what they are going through. They help each other through tough times and guide one another when things feel tough. What I love is that their lives are enriched with the other in it but that their attraction doesn’t take over who they are. They are just more balanced and happy when together. They help support and center each other.

the story is fun, flirty and has a air of mystery with the whole traitor in the midst at Hayden’s company, Watching them fall in lust and fight it but get to know one another as friends before succumbing and falling in love is wonderful and sweet. I love how Hayden is when he is with Avery. Hayden’s and Avery’s relationships with their brothers are fun and sarcastic but you can see the love and pride they have in their siblings. Such a sweet fun romance. The characters you love and the story is endearing and addictive.

What a perfect summer read

Easy reading, swoon worthy moments and romantic. The Ruthless Gentleman ticks all the right box's in the romance category but just lacked a little bit of steam for my taste.

This is a story about Hot millionaire Hayden wolf and the beautiful Avery.
Avery is the head stewardess on chartered yacht's, it's her job to ensure her guests needs are catered to and to also manage the staff on-board.
Hayden Wolfe is a business man who suspects a leak from his office when he repeatedly begins to be outbid on big deals losing millions and with a new deal going down he wants to take himself away and ensure everything is top secret so he isn't outbid on his next deal, this is where he charters a yacht to take himself away from everything while his brother who is in a secret service does some digging.

An interesting plot. I connected with Avery, understood her need to work such long days and hours and do what she does and I liked her character, with Hayden though I found out very little about Him with regards to his thoughts and feelings and his background that would have allowed myself to gel or have a connection with him.

The Ruthless gentleman is a slow burn romance, Avery is very regimental with her job and although there is chemistry between herself and Hayden she sticks to the rules.

If your looking for hotness you won't find it in ruthless gentleman, It was way past chapter 20 before I hit the point were they "get it on" as you would say, but what you do get with this book is a swoon worthy romance and a fairy-tale feel.

The Ruthless Gentleman is a great read and would be perfect with the view of the ocean or a pool with a cocktail in hand, sadly I had none of that, I just locked myself away and absorbed all that is Hayden and Avery and enjoyed their sunsets and sunrises instead.

Recommended, summer, holiday or vacation read.

Told in first person dual pov.

Louise Bay never disappoints with her stories, they are easy to read with really great characters. This story captured my interest from page one and towards the end, I just didn’t want to put it down; I just needed to know the outcome.

The two main characters in the book, Avery and Hayden Wolf, were so well written. I loved Avery straight away, she is a hardworking, diligent, kind and honest woman, I thought she was really great and I wanted only good things for her. Hayden Wolf…yum…he was my sort of man, hard working, good looking, sexy but so kind underneath the ruthless businessman exterior. “She was my sunset and my sunrise. My choppy waters and my calm seas. My everything.” Now, who wouldn’t want a man like that?

There were also some great secondary characters who just added to make a good read. I am particularly intrigued by Hayden’s brother, Landon, I think I could see a really good story there…hint, hint!

It is set in wonderful locations in the Mediterranean. There was some prose that just captured me. “The sun was up but the light was dusky, as if the day’s eyes weren’t fully open yet.” Doesn’t that just conjure up a warm summer’s morning in the Med?

Throughout the story, I felt I knew exactly what was going to happen, but there were a few twists and turns that kept me guessing. To be honest, I enjoy an easy read when I know the outcome; it makes for a relaxing read and that’s exactly what you get with this story. It was really nice and I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading it.

A new standalone romance that is ideal for summer reading.

Avery Walker’s job is to serve and pamper the rich and famous aboard luxury yachts. However her next assignment she meets a different type of rich man, a man who is so the opposite of being a pampered guest, that being Hayden Wolf.

Hayden Wolf is a top British businessman who is running against the clock of someone cutting in on his next big takeover. Suspicious of an insider mole, he takes to the high seas away from everyone and modern technology to keep his business transactions secret and safe. He hand picks the crew of the luxury yacht he has hired for two months which brings him into contact with the enticing head steward Avery Walker.

This was a slow burn romance that took a lot of build-up of the storyline to bring together this sizzling couple. Both carry an air of detachment but together in private these two were entirely different. I loved how conscientious Avery was by working every hour she could to support her family back home in the US, especially her brother for whom she feels an enormous guilt for his disability. She is very rigorous in her job and I loved how the hot business man was able to get under her depths in more ways than one! Hayden on the other hand had always stayed clear of relationships so when he can’t get Avery out of his head this was one romance I was eager to see both get their HEA.

Overall another great standalone romance from Louise Bay and one I would recommend to one click. Four stars.

As a fan of Below Deck Mediterranean, I could appreciate The Ruthless Gentleman a little bit more, plus it read like an episode or season in my head. Loved that!

Hayden Wolf comes off as the typical gruff business man when we first meet him. He's got all kinds of problems within his company and needs to totally unplug and figure out his next move. With the help of his brother, Hayden ends up chartering a super yacht for eight weeks hoping that will help.

As the Chief Stew on super yacht, Avery has seen every type of rich customer you can imagine, so Hayden Wolf was no exception. What was an exception, he was the only guest. That was new to Avery and she wasn't sure how this was suppose to play out.

I was in love with the Avery/Hayden dynamic from the get go. They each had thier own personal battles to fight and were on the cusp of a big life change. There was a lot of back and forth, will they won't they, that gave the story an angsty vibe. Avery needed her job desperately, however also wanted the one thing that could take it all away from her.

The Ruthless Gentleman is well written and I couldn't get through it fast enough to see what was going to happen with these two crazy kids. Again, I am a fan of Below Deck and that really added to my reading experience. The book reads as a stand alone with a nice epilogue to wrap things up.

Hayden Wolf is every inch The Ruthless Gentlemen in and out of the boardroom. He knows what he wants and he goes after it. But he has a problem someone is undermining his business deals and for once he finds himself unable to control what is happening. In an effort to flush out the 'rat' and close on a deal he is desperate to make, he charters a luxury yacht and it's crew for eight weeks. Enter Avery Walker, Chief Stewardess and the one who is assigned to ensure all Hayden Wolf's wants and needs are catered for. There's an attraction between these two but Avery has responsibilities and she will not risk her career for a casual fling with the one and only passenger on board. The 'slow burn' between these two begins and as they slowly wear down each others resistance they find themselves desperate for each other. Just as Avery thinks Wolf could be the one for her it all comes crashing down around her and she finds herself under suspicious for the very thing that Wolf is investigating. And that's that.....or is it? As I said before Hayden Wolf knows what he wants and he goes after it but will Avery give him the happy ending they deserve?
I liked Avery, she made me smile, Hayden made me smile but in a different way if you get my drift. It's a lovely romantic read but it is a 'slow burn' but well worth the wait. Hayden Wolf certainly knows what he's doing in and out of the bedroom. Louise Bay doesn't disappoint in giving us a proper romance with The Ruthless Gentleman.

The Ruthless Gentleman is vividly written, filled with sexual tension, and a slow-burning forbidden romance.

Hayden Wolf is hot, just like all the other LB heroes. He's also British and l o a d e d with money. He's the man who seals the deals. The deal maker. Avery Walker is diligent, and she carries around guilt from an unexpected accident in the past that she feels is her fault. The regrets she harbors have essentially taken away her social life and made her sole focus work.

He's a rich businessman with more money than he could probably ever spend and she's a head stewardess making every dollar count. An unlikely pair it would seem, but both Avery and Hayden are more alike than you would assume upon first perusal. Two months on a yacht brings these two characters together when Hayden decides to seclude himself in order to figure out the leak he has within his own company and seal it's future. The attraction is there, but these two are slow to act on their desires because so much is at stake if they were to just simply give in. Yet, eventually they can no longer fight the pull that teethers them together and give in is exactly what they do and in the hottest ways possible!

Engaging, descriptive, and adventurous, The Ruthless Gentleman not only piqued my curiousity, but is quite possibly the sexiest novel I've read from Louise Bay to date!

Spending a weekend curled up with The Ruthless Gentleman was such an awesome decision.  Hayden and Avery's relationship made me believe in the power of love and that love can conquer all.

The logistics certainly weren't in favor of Hayden and Avery having their happy ever after but the journey they travelled was nothing short of amazing.  The beautiful Mediterranean  backdrop they were forced to endure helped set the stage for a heart-stopping, swoon-worthy fairy tale that dreams are made of.

Even though Hayden may not be the most romantic gentleman, he still manages to melt Avery's heart with his gestures.  A girl can only  resist the charms of a man for so long. Avery is swept away and finds herself finally letting go and succumbing to the irresistible billionaire who stole her breath at first glance.

All is not blissful heaven in Hayden and Avery's world. They have struggles and Hayden often refers to himself as a lucky f*****r and I'd have to agree. Hayden is a lucky man to have the love and understanding of Avery but Avery is a very lucky woman to have the ever so competent Hayden Wolf in her bedroom.

I love Louise's stories and this one was no exception.  I was enthralled and captivated from beginning to end and I look forward to more from her in the future.

Louise often writes about ruthless businessman and their passion about the win. This new book is written with the same type of theme but offers an interesting twist in that much of the story is on a yacht.

Locked on board for 8 weeks is a long time so it is not without reason that sparks are going to fly and heat is going to flare up. After all, Hayden Wolf is a delicious specimen of a man, even if he is a bit mysterious and untrusting.

How could you resist the charms of a man intent on having you and try not to become compromised? But others want him too and are trying to take him down. Do you protect the man you hardly know or go for what you need the most?

Ms. Bay tells an intense story loaded with ruthless business deals, heated awareness, fiery passion, and encompassing love from unexpected places of the heart.

I love her writing style that brings in humor, playfulness, depth of emotion, and a clear view of her characters. A wonderful story full of the heat and sizzle we love in a contemporary romance along with a trip of a lifetime!

This novel The Ruthless Gentleman is so well written I was unable to put it down. The whole atmosphere makes you feel that you are really on the boat taking the journey with all of them.
This story is about Hayden Wolf, the hot British deal maker, who is focusing on getting a big deal done while tracking down the spy who’s been stealing and selling his corporate secrets to his largest competitor. He falls for Avery, a beautiful, hardworking, smart woman who works as Chief Yacht Stewardess.
This novel has it all…romance, action, suspense, and some good chemistry. I was surprised how well the mystery was written with just enough suspense to keep you on your toes.
Sparks, steam, & tension galore… this book is a great, quick read that is guaranteed to take you on one heck of a ride.

In short:

Another wonderful example of why Louise Bay is a must read for me. I find myself just able to relax and enjoy any story of hers I pick up.

In Ruthless Gentleman, I got two characters who were ultimately really good people. Life and their job troubles bring them together and is also one of the things that dictates they keep their distance. But the chemistry between them was undeniable and I really enjoyed reading as they got to know each other. That was honestly my favorite part. This wasn't some insta-lust and then hope it all works out in the end kind of book. The characters had real problems constantly at the forefront of their minds and yet there were these moments when they let down their guard and began to uncover the real person beneath it all. Those were the moments that felt like there was a real connection between Avery and Hayden. And they're the moments that made difficult parts later in the book easier for me to handle because I felt what they had was real.

As usual I will be looking out for anything and everything she puts out next.

Another sexy read from the author featuring sexy hot suited men on the cover. Although each book features a hot suited man on the cover, they all read different and is very enjoyable both to read and view! I loved Avery and Haydens story and i quite liked the fact this story was told on the sea...ive learned a little about the yatching business...?
Hayden is a highly sucessful businessman but lately he encountered a problem in the form of someone trying to bring his business down. He suspects the person or persons in one working close to him maybe even in his office. Because of this hes spektical in trusting anyone. He enlists the help of his brother and he decides to charter a yatch and go "missing" for a while. This is where he met Avery, the yatch's senior stewardess. Its instant attraction between the two but would Hayden let his guard down and trust in what he feels for Avery...? I really loved this book, i loved both characters and i really liked how Avery cared for her family. This is my honest review about this book.

Summer is coming! Beach, blue water, sunshine, plenty of tequila, an inflatable banana, and a great romance novel are my recipe for a great holiday break. My choice for the great romance book of the Summer of 2018? The Ruthless Gentleman by Louise Bay. But let me warn you, “This isn’t a holiday romance.” IT’S SO MUCH MORE!

The Ruthless Gentleman is the story of Hayden Wolf and Avery Walker. Hayden is a wealthy Englishman, who is consumed by work and his past, but he is at-risk of losing it all to corporate espionage. Avery is the American head stewardess on the super yacht Hayden charters to hide out on while completing a top-secret business deal. But Avery too is consumed by work and her past, and is at-risk of failing her family. Together, Hayden and Avery navigate their uncharted territories of lust and yearning, love and heartbreak, and ruthlessness and fairness.

Hayden and Avery’s “anti-holiday” romance, takes readers along for the ride on the fictional super yacht the Athena, anchored off the coasts of the South of France and Italy. The Ruthless Gentleman gives readers a glimpse into the lives of the upper deck vacationers and the below the deck crew and the lines that are crossed when these very different lifestyles interconnect. While both Hayden’s and Avery’s worlds are filled with duties and social roles that they must fulfill, together they are able to shed those expectation, and their clothes, for lots of romance and hot sex on the high seas. Almost like a dirty, Downton Abbey set afloat on the waters of the Mediterranean!

So, my recommendation for a quick Summer get-a-way? Come aboard with The Wolfman of Waves and read The Ruthless Gentleman today.

“She didn’t deserve to be invisible.”
Every time Louise Bay writes a book, I am hooked from the very first page. The Ruthless Gentleman was amazing!
Hayden Wolf has it all: the money, the business, the women and the sexy British accent. However, someone is leaking information and jeopardising his company and reputation.
Following his brother’s advice, Hayden go on a cruise and hide on a Yacht in order to seal an important deal.
Avery works hard to support her family and essentially to pay the insurance bills for her brother. When she accepts this two months contract, she expect to be at the beck and call of one snobby rich family. However, when she meets the guest, she is blown away by his charisma and his beauty.
“I smiled, trying to focus on something other than Mr. Wolf’s almost-perfect face and how I wanted to kiss it and slap it in equal measure. “
Hayden is different, he does not want help to unpack and does not have any food requirement. What he needs his discretion and trust.
Avery is the only person that he will allow in his room and he will only speak to her. They are both attracted to each other and the sexual tension is palpable. But Avery cannot have a relationship with him as it is against the rules. She cannot risk to lose her job… too much is at stake for her.
“It was as if we were being drawn toward each other by an invisible current—I wanted to stop swimming against the pull and let myself drift toward him, but I knew that wasn’t an option.”
However she wants him as much as he wants her…
“I liked her inside and out. I wasn’t sure I’d ever thought that about a woman before.”
Their attraction is forbidden, their affair is forbidden but is it just a summer fling or more? The angst kept me going without mentioning my LOVE for Hayden.
The first thing I did when I finished was researching Taormina. I want to go there and experience everything – Love and passion. The Ruthless Gentleman was charming, addictive and full of mystery, it has it all!

4.5 Stars

Another winner from Louise Bay! This is a great summer read -- with background vistas from a luxury yacht and beautiful scenery from Italy and the Mediterranean, you'll be transported to how the extravagant and wealthy live and vacation. But that's just the backdrop -- the real story unfolds between sexy Hayden and sweet Avery. Just the right amount of intensity and steam that results in an emotional, dreamy read between two very likeable characters! Definitely recommend!

Disclosure: I was given an Advanced Review Copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review.

First off, let me state that Louise Bay did it again. I found the novel beautifully written. The characters felt so authentic because of their well-thought back stories, growth throughout the novel, and their morals they grew up with. The stand-alone novella had a satisfying ending that left little cliff hangers but could easily be turned into a sequel. My favorite character was Hayden Wolf, the business tycoon from London.

The only negative I found was that the plot structure seemed similar to “The British Knight” which was the first novel I read of hers earlier this year. However, that did not detract from the read. The characters had different history, growth, and events in the story. The overall story was engaging and was easy to read. This one took me about 3 days to finish. I was super reluctant to put the book down. I would recommend reading this to my friends. This is also one of the rare novels I would gladly re-read in the near future.

Wow! Another hit from Louise! I love how Hayden totally turned the tables on Avery and wanted to be the one to care for her. Avery crashed into Hayden's world and changed his outlook. This story was full of passion, attraction, the struggle between self and obligations, family, honor, forgiveness, and love. I love the unique stories Louise weaves, and the amazing characters. She always leaves you wanting more, but satisfied with where the story ended!

Avery and Hayden were so great together! I loved the premise of being on a yacht. It was so fun and just sets the tone for the whole book.

I loved that Avery was so strong and proud. She literally is my spirit animal. And Hayden.. completely dreamy.. a bit of an @$$hole but he makes up for it in some incredible ways!!

Plus the epilogue is extended and I absolutely loved the glimpse into the future!

So, three business deals sabotaged, possible inside trading, conspiracy theories abound, what would you do? Asking for a friend? Would you commission a yacht to make sure your next business deal goes smoothly? What about the crew? To what extent would you go to make sure your business stays quiet? Things get interesting when Hayden Wolf's at the wheel! AJM

louise has always been one of my favorite authors. her books are the ones that suck you in and do not let go, even after the last page is read. the ruthless gentleman is a great story and the leads are two characters that i wanted to have in my life. lol. loved it and of course louise knocks it out of the park!!

Hayden is everything you’d want in a man- handsome, charming, witty and an animal in bed. He lives up to the Louise Bay men, you will not be disappointed!

Avery is the girl who you’d hope your daughter grows up to be! She is immediately lovable and relatable. She is now my favorite Heroine of Louise Bay!

These two are undeniably hot together. I love that this takes a while longer than other Louise books to really heat up!

Hayden & Avery are #RelationshipGoals

Thank you Louise, for another fantastic read! *bows down*

Hayden always gets what he wants even when the want fights it Avery gets to do right by her work and family but the lust/love between them wins. The books was so good I couldn't out it down which is hard when you have kids but Louise this is my #2 favorite book by yoy. Keep up the amazing writing..

This is an amazing book. I enjoyed easing this book. It was a page turner. Hayden Wolf is a businessman and Avery is a head stewardess on a yacht. They are the most unlikely pair. As you read the book you end up falling in love with Hayden just like Avery. I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good love story.
