I bought it for The Lorax, Horton Hatches.., & How the Grinch Stole Christmas but my kids loved reading the other stories as well. It came in great condition, reminded me why I loved buying actual books.

I have worked with many cultures, none of which have (so far) been familiar with our beloved Dr. Seuss. A few years ago, I purchased two of these for colleagues' children and they told me they enjoyed reading the stories to their children - maybe even more so than the children enjoyed being read to! I just bought two more as gifts for new colleagues and know they will again be appreciated, enjoyed and loved. Some are not Dr. Seuss' more popular and well-known stories but are nevertheless delightful whether you are familiar with Dr. Seuss or not.

I love the book. The only thing that was disappointing was that it looked like a used book. Maybe it was an oversight when I was purchasing it on the store but I do believe that it indicated it was new. There was a dent on the top of the front hardcover and there was a sticky price tag that someone tried to take off unsuccessfully. This was a gift to my doctors child so I wasn't impressed that I had to do some maintenance to the book before wrapping it.

Most "compilation" children's books--books that collect a large number of originals into one volume--are horrible. They typically include only part of the original story, or only some of the pictures, or else they shrink the pictures in order to save space. This one, though, is the real deal--it's six complete Dr. Seuss books, collected under one cover but otherwise exactly the same as if you were buying the six originals. If your children love Dr. Seuss (are there any that don't?) then this will get you through a lot of bedtimes.

I should also emphasize one other point that has confused some new parents I have talked to: these are Dr. Seuss "big books", which are only suitable for children four and older (a couple of them won't work until your child is five or six, or didn't for mine). Younger children simply don't have the attention span to appreciate these stories. For them, you should stick to his "Beginner Books" (Green Eggs and Ham, Seven Apples up on Top, The Foot Book, etc.).
