This book clearly lists the signs and symptoms of anxiety and is a good tool for guiding anxious people in therapy. This avoids using big words or terms that teenagers and many adults do not understand and can be read during the therapy sessions without getting bogged down in attempting to translate the meaning of the words.

This workbook has worked better than expected. My son has Aspergers and one of the issues he struggles with is anxiety and negative thoughts about himself. He has come along way. Being able to write his feelings down with the structured format and then talk about them has helped himself express himself better. I highly recommend this workbook to anyone with a high-functioning Autistic child.

I am a mental health counselor working with adolescents aged 13-18. After looking through these books (anger and anxiety by the same author), I don't think it's fair to market this to teens. My clients were offended by the youthfulness of the exercises and would not even humor me to engage in the worksheets. As a clinician I can look at the workbooks and see that they do have good stuff in them that is worth discussion, but the actual worksheets/workbook are more appropriate for pre-teens 10-12ish. Just my opinion though, it's possible it's just my particular population/region.

I found this book to be condescending to an older teen. As another reviewer put it, this book skews to the very young teen, sometimes feeling like a coloring book. But its case studies tend to skew toward an older teen's level of parties and situations.

Looks like a good book. Unfortunately the store packed it Ace Ventura style so it came in a giant box with four other items and was bent all to hell. At least they no longer throw the packages over my wall.

Although the work parts felt a little silly, most helped. The techniques were good and helped me a lot. My therapist recommended this and she also suggested some of the ways to stop anxiety in the book.

This series of workbooks has never disappointed me in my practice with teens in a day treatment center. The teens relate to them well and I am starting to use them more than my previous resources. I would buy any one of them in the future.

Overall I recommend getting this book because even if you know your problem spots and how to deal with them, this book can tell you how to get rid of the weight on your shoulders.
