Thank you Phil !! The same week I finished reading the book. Using what I read, on my first call, I was able to land a $220 service call in my electrical business. Many more successes to come :) $11 well spent.

Some great ideas, but mostly manipulative talk that I find is used by low end sales people. It’s “used car salesman talk”. The author advises talk that screams phony and makes people hate speaking to you.
My greatest concern is that this kind of talk gets ONE TIME sales only. Most of us know that repeat customers is the key to true success. The kind of talk advocated here makes acquiring full time customers more difficult.
There’s a reason people hate used car salesmen!
Even so, there are some ideas that can be of great help if used CORRECTLY (i.e. not in an obviously phony way). For this reason I give this book three stars.

Yes it's basic selling 101. There is nothing wrong with that. Even the most seasoned sales professionals need a refresher course every once in a while when their sales hit a brick wall. Have you ever heard "you need to get back to the basic"? These words can be applied to almost any field no matter which side of the table you sit.

Simple, direct language with lots of examples.
Like the summary at the end.
I can see myself start introducing some of these little sentences /magic words and observe where they will take me.
I am also keen to find something that would teach me about body language. But I guess this is a different topic.

Oh and he best part of his book is: Phil keeps it SUPER SIMPLE. He doesn’t drag it out at all. It’s an easy read that I’ve been able to leverage right away. ???

Insightful ideas that I look forward to putting to practice. I like the way the author explained the reason why each set of words were effective and also how he provided examples.

For ANYONE in business, whether it's sales, marketing or start up founder, this is a must read.
In simple, easy to digest language, Phil Jones gives you the magic words you need to be more successful.
The best part? You can implement his suggestions right away, not in three weeks or two months after you have been through the "program."
For anyone who reads Seth Godin and enjoys "small bites" like I do, Phil Jones ranks up there by serving up a banquet of small bites that are as powerful as they are easy to digest!

Short, but only because it cut out the fluff that many self help books are made of. These tips are amazing and I have already tried many of them - they really work! Good for people like me that have jobs requiring influence without authority.
