Amber Lynn Natusch has made another amazing read with this one. I had just as hard a Time putting this one down as I did the last four. And I can't wait to read the next one.

I have read a lot of books and a lot of authors but Natusch is the absolute best at keeping me guessing. You never know what's going to happen next. Her characters have such depth and their actions are very realistically based. The events that take place in her books are interesting and something that you would never guess every time. I love that it's not the same old story told with different names.

The books in the series can stand alone but they're so much better if you read them all in order. And I can't wait to start the next one already, in fact I'm going to go do that now!...

I have also loved the whole series. Someone said they absolutely HATE cliff hangers, however, Amber has treated us all pretty well in that department. Not all of her books have ended with a cliffhanger, so I can't complain. I can't stand when the first book in a series is really good, and I am so primed for number 2, and number 2 turns out to be a "Number 2". I highly recommend this series as there is not a bad book in the lot of them. Enjoy and Blessings.

I am rereading the series in preparation for "Betrayed". Sean told Ruby he loved her many more times than I remember the first time I read the series. I just remembered him being distant. I wonder how I missed it. It is very strange to me how my mind colored Sean's character different than this time around, i.e. much more loving.. I must have had an internal change. One of the reasons I love reading so much is my "self discovery" in relation to how my mind changed over time, for the better. Of course, Amber is a great writer. I think my stating that I am rereading the series speaks for the series on spades. I am really looking forward to "Betrayed", but sad also. I feel like a part of my family will no longer be around. Big Sigh..................

This is a great series that I recommend everyone starts at book one for. Ruby, Scarlet, Sean, Cooper and the gang are all awesome characters that I can not get enough of.

Ruby continues to amaze me. The relationship between Sean and Ruby is still frustrating as always but has made some great strides in the right (at least in my head) direction. Then there is Gavin on the sidelined talking in Ruby's ear, what is his deal? He is on my last nerve; I can't wait to learn more about him in book 6. Cooper I love as usual, then there are some new characters that join the gang that I enjoyed getting to know. Something that has bugged me since book one has finally been addressed. Ruby was raped and she had yet to really acknowledge the fact or deal with the emotions of it and FINALLY we have some development on that front. You can't go through something like that, the way it happened and not have any feelings about it and I finally feel that Ruby is moving in the right direction.

As usual, Amber's writing is smooth and easy to jump into. She does a fabulous job of portraying emotions and events, you are going to cry, laugh, scream and jump for joy at the appropriate times. Although we are not left with the huge cliffhanger that was the ending of SCARRED, FRACTURED still stops way too soon for my liking and I'm left needing book 6 ASAP. Come on Amber, don't leave us waiting.

This installment of the excellent Caged series is probably one if my favorites of all of them. If you haven't read the first four books you will probably be really really lost. Spoilers coming*** When Scarlet finally lets Ruby out again we find Ruby, naked and alone and totally unaware of anything that has happened for the past three weeks and to make matters worse, Scarlet's not telling. She leaves Ruby with a gigantic mess to clean up. Thanks to Sean and the P.C. things could be worse but not by much. She has lots of explaining to do to a lot of people and has no memory to do it with. I received this book early to give an honest review. I can honestly say that I sat an nonstop read it as it is just that good! Amber has out done herself this time. Although I have thought that with each book she has written! All our favorite characters are back- with one pretty major exception. I am gonna leave that part up to the reader to figure out. There is also three new characters that become a big part of the book. I came away really liking Sean more and the romance between him and Ruby was so sweet this time. It is a very emotion filled book. Mattie 's death has to be dealt with and that is really hard for Ruby. Peyta has a very emotional part of the story also. Cooper and Rubys relationship is changed and definitely for the better!Cooper really has had a special place in my heart throughout all five books.Amber handles all of Ruby's trials with an extremely deft hand. All of her characters have grown so much throughout this wonderful series. As I said before, I could not put it down and I doubt you will be able to either. Fantastic book Amber!

This series just keeps getting better and better with each book. So many different things at play all going on at the same time. The danger and action is non stop and some questions are answered, but you definitely don't expect the answers or anything that happens. This was a great read and I'm off to read the next one!

“Ruby…” she sang. “Open your eyes Ruby.” Without hesitation I did."

I’m not sure what to say about this book except I think it’s the best one in the series! Trying to get a handle on all my thoughts and feelings to describe how much I love this book is proving to be a challenge because I’m not sure where to start. How do I describe everything I love about it without it coming across as one big run-on sentence? There are so many details to this book that I had to go back and re-read it because I didn’t miss a single thing. I took notes, I highlighted certain passages and I even tried to read this book slowly (clearly that didn’t happen) but most importantly, I lived in Ruby’s world.

“My fear and my ego drove me to believe that you chose to leave me. I could not find you…my failure was more than I could bear, but my heart never believed you would abandon me. You are mine…”

First, let’s start with the prologue…what is it about Amber Lynn Natusch and her prologues? Talk about pulling you in immediately! I had absolutely no idea where this prologue would take me and lets just say, I enjoyed going into this knowing very little. If I loved all the books in the series before, I’m now seriously obsessed with Fractured, all the characters in this story and Amber. And no, I am not a stalker but a professional fan-girl thank you very much.

"He was my balancing force and I was his. The more we gave into it, the stronger it pulled. Something greater than the two of us was at play, placing us in each other’s lives. It was a destiny – divine intervention. Troubles would always plague us, but nothing could separate us. Not anymore."

Fractured is wrapped-up tightly in mystery that’s Scarlet related. That mystery gave me heartburn and it only generated more questions that needed answers. And as much as I love Scarlet and her sassy ways, she sometimes causes too much trouble which gives me an anxiety attack! Enough about her…

"I had lived in a state of black suspension from that moment on. No sense of time or place or existence, lost in a perpetual tunnel of night. There was no escape. Scarlet had warned me several times that she wasn’t to be trifled with, that her retribution would be epic. A liar she was not."

Ruby is still Ruby but in this book she evolves and finally learns to trust. She’s still the same compassionate, witty and sarcastic heroine but her need for trust and love are much greater. She’s more open to the risk of being vulnerable and she’s no longer running. It was refreshing to see her talk about things that plagued her mind no matter how overwhelming it felt to talk-it-out. Can I get an amen?

Say hello to Anger Management 101! We get to see the angry side of Cooper and Sean. Oh my word, I was not expecting that at all. Not only was I okay with Coop being angry but his level of hotness when up quite a few notches. Like Ruby we see Coop evolve and after all the drama he’s been through, it was nice to see him finally come into his own. I love Sean for the mercurial angel he is, but there’s a reason he becomes so fiercely angry with Ruby (let’s call it misplaced anger) and it was absolutely EPIC! I’m being vague on purpose and trust me when I say, you’ll love it!

There were so many beautiful (emotional) details in this book that touched me in a way I never anticipated. The scene with Peyta broke my heart because it tackles a dark subject matter that hits a little too close to home but while it’s not a huge focal point of the story, it’s handled with grace and dignity. So not only does Amber tackle Peyta’s issue, she also tackles the issue of death with closure and that’s something anyone can relate to. And Ruby needs this closure but Sean comes through and shows her support and tenderness that will move you to tears. I had a lump in my throat and I was overwhelmed by the sadness that Ruby felt.

"He soothed me to sleep, muttering in a language I couldn’t understand and didn’t need to. His love was apparent regardless. With me clutched in his arms I eventually fell asleep, and for once, the nightmares stayed away."

To say that there are different layers to the story is a complete understatement but it’s not distracting in the least bit. These layers give Fractured a certain level of profoundness that will stay with you. I was emotionally invested in all the characters, probably more so than before and the new characters that were introduced (Alice, Jan and Becky) made their way into my heart as well. I wanted to talk to anyone who would listen about the emotional rollercoaster I experienced only a few days ago and it’s not all heartbreak…I found happiness too.

My final two cents: Fractured is by far the best book in the series. This is a story that’s written exceptionally well, rich in characters filled with depth and it’s a book you’ll not soon forget.

Was a good read. Still finding myself scanning pages but not nearly as much in this book. Ready to figure out Gavin already. I don’t think he’s as honorable as he seems and I just want to know his deal.

Reading this book felt long winded and it didnt answer much. It felt like a lead up with some drama thrown in. Like... when you watch a season finale, only you dont get to the end. It stops in the middle of the episode.

I just (happily) lost a whole day of work. Almost cried multiple times (and I'm a well known hard-a**). I love that Ruby is a spaz and probably would never make it in the real world. She survives her world in the most entertaining way an that's enough for me. If i wanted the real world I'd read history books & biographies. This is way more fun! Also love that Sean isn't being an ass. Can't wait for the next one and the Unborn series. Keep them coming!

Very good chapter in the series although I was not as entranced as with previos chapters. I think it has to do with all the things Ruby misses or can't remember ... either by Scarlet taking over or Ruby doing something rash. I have to say though, I am very intrigued by what's to come.

I came across the first book, Caged, while searching the store for something new. I must admit, I love finding new Indie authors and Amber Lynn Natusch is a huge reason why!

I just finished Fractured last night and I'm extremely upset....that I have to wait for the next installation. I generally find a series after it's well on its way but I found Caged shortly after its release. Now I've been stuck waiting (im)patiently for each new one to come out. I swear she does this to torture me!

The entire Caged series is VERY worth the time and money!
