This series just got better and better as it went. Normally the opposite is the norm, but in this case each book outdoes the other. I loved how the characters evolved and grew throughout the story. Wonderfully well written and balanced between erotic, funny, heartwarming and romantic. I loved it!

Penny Reid is my Beyonce. --->use your imagination and insert Beyonce GIF here.

This book you guys, all the feels! This is NA at its best. I don't think there was a better way to end the series. This is what falling in love is like. "Maybe love, at its essence, is being a mirror for another person-for the good parts and the bad. Perhaps love is simply finding that one person who sees you clearly, cares for you deeply, challenges you and supports you, and subsequently helps you see yourself.
Love, I decided, is being a sidekick."

Ladies and gentlemen that paragraph!!!!

Chemistry reminded me of what it was like to fall in puppy love and lose your virginity, Heat reminded me of what it was like to get your heart broken, and now Capture is what it is like to fall in love as an adult. NA at it's best. We see these two young adults try to navigate through their lives and work out their love for each other. I want to keep this spoiler free, so just trust me when I say that you should read this!

Ever Since reading my first Penny Reid novel I cannot put her down. I pre-order anything she has coming out. She writes with wit. All of her characters are to an extent self deprecating and real. You can picture them living next door. Her sense of comic timing has me laughing out loud at times. All of her books are just plain and simple a good read. I enjoyed Martin and Kaitlyn's story and was sorry to see it end.

This series held me captive. After months of book funk, Ms. Reid has me anxious to get home to my kindle. I loved this series. I read it in three days. I loved it more than the first two books of knitting in the city (though I only made it two books on as this series captured me.)

I love how well this trilogy was written. I laughed, I sighed, I cringed, I couldn't wait for these two to make it back to each other! I loved all the three books, but of the three, this one I could NOT put down! I loved how they came together in the end, it was perfect.

What a great Mother's Day surprise - Capture showed up on my Kindle first thing in the morning. I love all of Penny Reid's books! I know she has a day job, but I'm thankful she keeps writing at night. I like to come home from my science job and read about all the interesting characters in her books. The Elements of Chemistry series was great - once again, such interesting and well-developed characters. The female leads are strong, even with all their ups and downs. Thanks for another great series, Penny!

Penny Reid is such a gifted author! She so effectively and lovingly brought Kaitlyn and Martin's story to a wonderful conclusion. That said, I really hated to see the trilogy end. Penny let her readers see how Kaitlyn and Martin's characters grew as individuals and together as a couple despite unique challenges from each of their families. As with all of Penny's books, she left me wanting more!

Thanks Penny Reid for an awesome series. Would have like to see Kaitlyn and Martin get there sooner, but the writing was so good, I could read forever. Is there more? I want some more of them. Brilliant series, funny, intelligent dialogue and monologue.

Laughs out loud funny and sexy. It hooked me from the beginning and never let up. I loved Kaitlyn and Martin. Kaitlyn's roommate Sam was great too. I want to continue to know them. Penny Reid is an outstanding author. This series not to be missed.

This is the final book in the Elements of Chemistry series. The story picks up six months after Kaitlyn and Martin have broken up. Kaitlyn has been going through the five stages of grieving as she copes with losing her first love. She’s made some drastic life changes and emerged much stronger. She’s still quirky but more mature, although I have to say I mourned the loss of the hilarious Kaitlyn we saw in the first two books. Kaitlyn is now a music major and she plays piano in a special events band.

Nine months after the breakup Kaitlyn runs into Martin in Manhattan, where Martin is now a successful venture capitalist. He expresses a desire to be friends again and Kaitlyn agrees to try. When Kaitlyn has a week-long gig in NYC the week before Christmas and her living arrangements fall through, Martin offers to let her stay at his apartment. She reluctantly agrees. Their week in New York shows just how much they have changed since their Spring Break trip. The more time they spend together it becomes clear to Kaitlyn that she isn’t over Martin. Can they just be friends if she still has feelings for him? Is he still in love with her or has he moved on?

This book reads like one long Taylor Swift breakup album. Each chapter is filled with longing, heartbreak, and bittersweet memories in that hurt-so-good way that new adult novels do so well. Even though you know Kaitlyn and Martin are perfect for each other it seems like they are never ever ever getting back together. Both dance around their feelings for each other – Kaitlyn more so than Martin – and Kaitlyn seems almost intentionally obtuse at time. I swear I was ready to have them play Charades to act out their true feelings or draw pictures.

While I understand that some angst is needed in order for happiness to be appreciated, this reader could have used more humor to relieve some of the melancholy. I still found Kaitlyn and Martin to be likeable and fascinating, particularly since they continued to evolve. Despite all the drama the end is quite satisfying and left a smile on my face. I highly recommend this series.

Funny, sexy, sweet, a bit frustrating but 100% entertaining! I only have love for Penny Reid. I haven't read a single bad book from her, quite the opposite. And Martin and Kaitlyn's story was the perfect mix of everything I love in a romance.

I loved the character flaws and admittance in this series. I loved how the writer made a decision in their relationship, reflect how to become who they truly are. It was a cute and light hearted read. But don't be mistaken, it hooked me!

OMG the books in this series are HIL-AR-IOUS!!!!!!!!!!! It's almost like reading how Jane and Quinn would have been in college; so, if you enjoy reading the Knitting in the City series, hands up you would enjoy this series, as well!

It's smart, funny, clever, sexy; everything you could want in a romance. The characters are well drawn and I really liked them all. I didn't want Kaitlyn and Martin's story to end. I can't wait to read everything else by this author.

The third book was better than the second. It took a while for the back story to get going in this trilogy. I liked the Heroine's sense of humor. The Hero took a while longer to get to know. Overall an okay read.

I enjoyed reading the three series of Kaitlyn and Martin story. It's romantic and a bit funny at times. It's cute how Martin fell so hard for Kaitlyn and willing to do anything to win her back at the end.

Loved this whole series & hate that it ended b/c the characters were so well written. I fell in love with it from the 1st chapter, in book 1. I think I love Kaitlin's internal conversations and quotes the best!

I love Penny's books, just adore them. However, I'll admit that I was very concerned and borderline uncomfortable through Heat and Attraction because of how pushy, manipulative and temperamental Martin was. Yes, he's very hot and rich and has got all the moves, yada yada yada but since when did that justify the yelling and the callousness? Unlike the other main male characters in Penny's other books, I never felt Martin placed his love interest's interests above his. Well, at least not until Capture. Yes, Martin grew up in a terrible, f*ed up family but again, to me that doesn't go towards justifying a lot of his actions in books 1 and 2. I was really gratified to see that Penny gave them time apart, and that they each came to realize that while they had shared this deep, intense experience/love with one another, they could be and were happy without the other in their life. I loved reading about the realizations Kaitlyn came to about herself. It felt so real and necessary and made you want just the best for her, even if that includes Martin - a much reformed Martin.

Also: #1 sidekick Sam. Absolutely adored her. I was also pleasantly surprised by the story line regarding Kaitlyn and her family, and the relationship development between Kaitlyn and her mom. This book became available on Mother's Day and what a Mother's Day treat it was to read it on that day especially for that reason.

I hate cliffhangers, especially if the author really pulls me into the story. I am so glad that Penny released the parts so close together so that I could hold out and wait until I could read them all in one go. I would have lost my mind waiting after each book. Absolutely loved these books!

Penny Reid seriously has my number when it comes to her stories.
Translation: I have not come across a story she wrote that I didn’t like.
The woman is on a roll and I’m just happy to be along for the ride.

Reid as seriously turned me on to her Smart Romances.
I like my mind to be stimulated romantically as well as intellectually.
And let me tell you: she’s got that formula in spades.

I’ve been following the Elements of Chemistry installments and been hooked since Attraction.
Surmise to say: I’m almost sad that it’s over.

I liked Parker because she was smart, she was awkward, and she was beautiful without trying to be.
I did not like Martin at first.
He was also smart, but he was mean about it.
He was rude, and will not apologize for it.
And he was hot, and he very well knew it.
But in a very Penny Reid Fashion... there was a reason to his madness.
Damn it.
I begrudgingly started to like him… The beautiful, damaged, amazing bastard.

Let me break it down like this:
- Martin’s dad’s a d-bag.
- Power & influence can be more of a hinderance than a help.
- Love is simply not enough in a relationship, trust needs to be there too. Trust is needed for the Love to take root and grow.
- Heartache is painful as hell, even if you know you’re doing the right thing.
- Communication is key.
- Revenge doesn't satisfy & the end result does not justify the means.
- Martin is a sexy, calculating, evil genius hot guy.
- Kaitlyn is awesome in her incongnitio sexy and that she never loses her sense of self.
- Sometimes you need to be apart to grow, even if it’s from the person you love the most.
- Everything comes in full circle.
- And lastly, not everyone is what they seem. If you're lucky... sometimes they can be more.

God, I love this author. Definitely one of my favorites.

I've just finished reading this series for the third time. I like everything about it! The writing style is perfect for the characters and their story. Character development is thoughtfully done. Separating the novel into 3 parts gives the reader time to reflect, which is perfect.

Wow! What an amazing end to a fabulous story! Below will have spoilers for the previous books so read with caution.

I really liked that Kaitlyn stuck to her guns after her decisions to break up with Martin. Were there mistakes on both side of the relationship? Yes, but it's so refreshing to see a NA where the girl doesn't fold at the first sign of conflict with the hero. I loved the continued exploration of personal fulfillment vs. the good of the whole. I think this an important issue facing the 20-30 somethings, and I really liked how that conversation happened between Martin and Kaitlyn. I loved seeing Kaitlyn and her mother come to a new understanding of their relationship. Parent-child relationships can often become cartoonish, either sickeningly perfect or horrifyingly terrible and the cause for some emotional defect in a main character. Kaitlyn and her mother had to work to understand each other, but it was obvious that the love on both sides would carry them through. Finally, the grovel. Ohhhhhh, what good grovel this book has! Martin has a lot to make up for, but by the end of this book, I believed he was ready to change and own up to his mistakes.

Despite my caution with the NA genre as a whole, I 110% recommend this series! It's smart, it's witty, it's sexy, and it touches your heart. What else could you want?
