“Dream of me” was beautifully written in my opinion. The author brought a great storyline that involves many characters. Who is the Sandman? Well, he is Dair who is dressed in black, in the shadows, and is nothing but a myth. He is a legend that has been told too many children, for he is the one who weaves dreams for children in their sleep. For what purpose? For the purpose that can influence, and guide that child/ or adult to their destiny. So, what happens when Dair, falls in love with a mortal human? Will their love be acceptable through the eyes of the creator? Will She love him in return? Or does destiny have something in plan for them? There were many questions that I kept asking myself. Which I loved that I could try and find the purpose. This book is really touching, it makes you believe that there is an actual Guardian Angel that is watching over us. Along with serving a purpose in the life we live. The story does not revolve on just the love that the sandman has for Serenity, it is also about the life of a young girl that has a purpose to fulfill in life. She doesn’t realize how big or what plans are in store for her. Evil might try to get in her way, and she must be brave to survive along with the help of close friends.
This was my first read from the author, I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Along with her other books.

From the beginning, I felt the words entrancing me, lulling me into this book. It was sweet and tender and then it had me crying and laughing and all sorts of emotions moving me in Dream of Me.
I love the concept of the Sandman. I remember as a child being told of the Sandman and since then, I forgot all about him until I saw this book. But Dair, the Sandman, came to life and was utterly sweet and kind and took to Sarah Serenity Tillman. And I took to him! Serenity is selfless, she volunteers many more hours than students would normally. She wasn’t sitting around a computer or books or hanging out with friends, she was giving back to others. But she was normal with thinking of leaving the small town when she finishes high school. Sarah lives with her Aunt and Uncle after her parents died and they love her.
Serenity had a smile that could make a man want to move mountains for her. It was all innocence and joy wrapped up and surrounded by love. She was a girl who truly knew how to love without strings attached and that love came bursting through when she smiled.
The Sandman reverently observed her from afar until he decided to approach her because he wanted her. Sarah was confused at what to do and told her best friend Glory about him. Glory believes her because Serenity never lies. And true to Ms. Quinn’s writing we have the funny side kick…
Well, I always think you are a few heifers shy of having a herd.
Serenity has some good inner monologue too!
Regardless, she knew one thing for sure, this shiz just got real.
Dair is not tainted by time. He is a pure being, very kind and knows how to treat people.
”Goodnight, Sarah Serenity,” he said gently as he walked to the closed window and began to step through it as if it were open to the outside world. He looked back one more time at the girl who held him captive. “I wish you could dream of me. I would dream of you if I were capable of such a thing.
I so love to read Ms. Quinn’s humor when Serenity asks him why he was there…
The deep voice finally rumbled “I am here because I want you.” Whoa, did not see that coming.”
Dair’s voice and mannerisms got to me first before they described what he looked like. But I love this description of him and who doesn’t like chocolate…
“Hello, Serenity.” Dair’s smooth voice reminded her of those Dove chocolate commercials where they showed the melted chocolate being stirred making her want to dip her whole hand in and not just a finger. It was dark and rich and quite possibly made him as lickable as a spoon covered in the stuff. Don’t think about any licking of any kind Sarah, she chastised herself.
It means I am yours – heart, body, soul. I am yours…..
This story is really good vs. evil. There is a Christian component in it. There are the roles of women in it. I like how the author put this in the book and I know it will be a sore spot for many. But she writes that the roles of men and women are different and they are a helpmate for each other. So sue me if you don’t like that! I respect that in an author willing to go out and speak on something that will believes in and may be a sore spot for others! She goes into detail in the book but it is too long for me to write it out! I am more of a gentle soul myself, quiet not rowdy and so the story suits me just fine.
As far as the good vs. evil goes, get some tissue. I was crying for most of the last 20% of the book. Evil is evil and children are innocent and this story has a little girl named Emma who is a genius and after her parents died she came to live with her Aunt who is a drunk and drugs and entertaining other activities that no child should have to hear or be around. And evil abounds in that house.
“My mama used to say that Lucifer and his demons only had as much power as we were willing to give them. She told me that if he knocks on my door and I open it to him while offering him cookies and lemonade then I shouldn’t be surprised if he kicked back and stayed while.”
Dair gave dreams to both Emma and Serenity. The dreams are given to steer mortals to a certain path and these dreams are only given to those who will make an impact in the world. Dair doesn’t know what they will do he is just instructed on who and what the dream will be. So when the two girls have the other in their dreams, we know their lives are intertwined and Emma moves into Serenity’s town. The town knows how Emma’s aunt is not someone who should have a child and Emma takes care of her as much as she can. So does Serenity’s family and Dair and the Angel Rafael, of which we see a lot of.
Dair wants to be with Serenity but he can’t as he is an immortal. He wants to grow old with her and he feels a little lost with this new emotion that he has never had before. Serenity hasn’t ever had a boyfriend before either so they are both starting at the beginning. It is sweet and innocent.
The ending fortunately isn’t a cliffhanger but you definitely want the next book because it leaves at a crucial time after a horrible scene and I definitely will be waiting patiently for the next part of the story with the evil and sweet and innocence that is this series!

I loved how Quinn brought the Sandman myth to life and gave him a strong sense of humanity. The banter between Serenity and Glorious was very entertaining and the personality of Emma made me want to meet her in real life. That being said, this book really wasn't what I expected. I anticipated the romance, but as a fan of Quinn's Grey Wolves series, the amount of storyline based on religion/spirituality surprised me a little. Not that it was a bad thing, but it's not really my cup of tea. However, Quinn's writing is off-the-charts fantastic, so you'll get pulled in no matter what.

Dair AKA Sandman was given the assignment to influence Sarah Serenity’s dream. He was just gonna do his job and move on until he saw her.
Dair began following her every day telling himself that his presence was only for her protection. Even tho Dair was an Immortal his feelings for her grew and intensified. They finally admitted their attraction. Their relationship was tested but they held strong. Sarah was shot protecting an innocent but all is not what it seems.

I read the other series from this author and came across this book. Is completely different that her other books. Here we see an Immortal sandman that for the first time he comes across to something very unexpected when he goes to do his work and found that this charge was different. The book goes into three different POVs is great a give you a full view of what happen to each character. I really want to see where this series goes to. Can wait for book 2.

I’m really torn on this book. Something like two-thirds of the story was focused on the main characters (as most books would do) “The Sandman” and Sarah, their building romance, and her accepting his very existence. But I just had so much difficulty feeling anything for those characters that I just couldn’t get into their storyline at all.
The true gems of this book are the rest of the characters that managed to keep me interested enough to stay invested in the story. Emma in particular, and her interactions with the angel Raphael were what I wish the rest of the story was focused on as they ran the whole gamut of emotions from funny to heartbreaking!
Wrapping up the story in one doozy of a cliffhanger certainly does it’s job of making me eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!

Absolutely incredible. This story drew me in from page one and kept me riveted. When I got to the last page, I kept tapping my Kindle, willing there to be more. It is definitely a must read. This is only the second Quinn Loftis book I have read and I am absolutely impressed with her writing. She is certainly becoming one of my favorite authors.

Note to self: reading on a computer makes me ridiculously indecisive.
Thank you, Quinn Loftis and YA Bound Book Tours, for this free book to review!
Usually I read books in print or on my kindle, but since I didn't know how to download the file for this book, I had to read it on the computer. I have no idea why, but reading books in a format I'm not used to somehow makes me less angry at character flaws. So I'm pretty sure Dair is a possessive stalker and Serenity has no personality beyond "nice", but I'm not super mad about that. So maybe they actually were great.
The only character I know for sure that I like is Emma. She's one of those spunky kids who's always got a good quote from her mama. And yet NO ONE (except Raphael, but he's an angel and wasn't allowed to get too involved) helped her! Apparently Serenity's aunt was very kind to Emma, but when her drunk/high guardian showed up at the library to make Emma go home, Aunt Darla did nothing! Maybe she could have, I dunno, called a child protection agency. Pretty sure those exist.
Also, there's no plot besides romance. On one hand, duh, this is a romance novel. Of course that's the main focus. On the other hand though, Dair only influences the dreams of people who are going to impact history in a major way. The dream he gives Serenity is to convince her not to leave her tiny town after graduating, because something is in store for her. Serenity accepts this without hesitating! She's so busy drinking in Dair's "swirling" eyes that she never even considers leaving, so Dair's visit at the beginning didn't seem to matter much.
On the up side, I did enjoy Quinn Loftis's writing, although she kept using "drug" instead of "dragged". That created multiple hilarious images in my head...Serenity's inner monologue was deliciously sarcastic though. I love it.
Would I read other books by Quinn Loftis? Maybe. She's got a knack for writing awesome supporting characters, like Serenity's friend Glory.

This beautifully crafted work was spell binding. The characters felt real. The plot kept you turning the page. What a wonderful tale of faith in the good of people, faith in the unexpected, faith in something greater than ourselves. Quinn Loftis, you had me at hello!

Wasn't sure about this book when I started reading it. But the concept intrigued me. The story does take some time to get into. In the end it's a story that's heartbreaking and somehow uplifting at the same time. But I will be reading the next books in the series.

Fabulous start to an original new series. This romance adventure hits all the right notes, introducing us to The Sandman (otherwise known as Brudair or Dair for short) who just happens to be the sort of immortal who can really sweep a girl off her feet. You can't blame Serenity for falling for him. Indeed, Dair and Serenity are a match made in heaven. Or so it seems. Only Serenity's destiny stands in the way of their earthly happily-ever-after. Loved it!

Another wonderful story from Mrs. Loftis!
I always no how good a book is by how much I laugh or cry while reading it. EVERY book that I have read of Quinn loftis has made me FEEL something. That's what a good story teller does. She is one of the best. This book was packed full of emotion. Highly recommended!

Quinn's depiction of the Sandown blew me away! This woman has got some mad skills! I love her writing and the godly woman she is for she tells her stories with the grace and talent that God almighty has given her. I can't wait to be able to read the second book as soon as I purchase it. ?❤

I really enjoyed reading this story about the sandman and his love interest... it's definitely different then other books I have read. I like how he's portrayed as Gods dream weaver. I never really thought or knew much about his characters except only from the movies the guardians which was children related fairytale type. so to see him as such a sexy male character was super interesting and made the story worth reading. Don't get me wrong, the female lead Serenity was perfect for him. And her story was just as interesting seeing those two attractions for each other made me think of soul mates. Perfect together. But what made this book really good was little Emma's story and how she played such a big part in it. Tragic yet so much courage and hope. And of course having a sexy kind angel as her guardian was like perfect in my opinion. I loved how there was this never ending faith in god.. it was a nice touch. Looking forward to reading the next in this series!

The story outside of the romance and the supporting characters were interesting and fun, but any chance this had of becoming more was bogged down by the preachiness. I have no objection to Christian values or morals told by a story, but instead of making them the underlying message, Loftis spells it right out on the page so often it's like being beaten over the head with a sermon. It clogs up the narrative and drags down the rest of the book so much that you're too occupied rolling you're eyes at.the Sunday school story level of subtlety too enjoy the rest of it.
It's a shame because I actually do want to know what happens to them in the next book, but I don't want to spend money on another book choking on another sermon.
