Legacy (Shifter Royal Dynasty Book 1)

I have always shied away from books that ended in cliff hangers but since I've read many of Ms. Fanning's previous works I didn't hesitate at all. I'm glad that I made an exception. This is a story that held my attention from the beginning. It has inner family tensions and treachery, jealousy, political strife, archaic cultural traditions to overcome, sexual attraction with the resulting consequences, a lot of drinking and drunken stupor and rage, etc. Instead of dreading the ending I looked forward to the next book "Prophecy". I did get this as an ARC but just let me say that these are my very own opinions and were gladly given voluntarily.

Loved it! After a one night stand, Kris finds her life turned upside down. She realizes she is pregnant and doesn't even know the father's name. Korrin wants no part of being royalty. He just wants to drink, but on the night his brother is named the new king, assassins kill his brother. He finds his father is being poisoned, and they are after him and anyone that has anything to do with family, including the girl he slept with once. Can Kris and Korrin become a couple or will the killer's win? This is the best story of Ms. Fanning's yet! Outstanding story! This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy of this book.

This is the first book in a series regarding shifters and love and babies and assasins, all rolled into one. The story line takes you thru the one night stand that produces the next heir, the fights to save the new mother from the world of shifters, bringing her into the circle to be protected by the new King of the bear shifters, who is also the father of her baby... It is an excellent beginning to the series and you definitely need to get the next book in the series to continue the story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book, and this is my honest opinion.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest opinions. This book has it all action, drama, intrigue, loveable characters and romance exactly what you come to expect from Becca. I fell in love with Korrin and Kris, who had a one night stand thought they'd never see each other again except Kris falls pregnant. The chemistry between them is sensual, steamy and utterly wonderful. Readers you need to buy this book to find out who are enemies and more importantly who are friends? I can honestly say I recommend this book.

Lots of excitement, adventure, fighting, betrayal, and most of all love. Very interesting that it seems to be a crossover between modern contemporary to the old traditions, almost like the lives of Kris and Korran straddle two centuries, but somehow it makes sense! The caravan of shifters could almost be seen as I was reading, it was so well done. This series is amazing, for readers of romance, shifters, and those who love books out of the ordinary! I received an ARC and am pleased to leave a voluntary and honest review.

Legacy is an enjoyable read.  It has vivid imagery that grabbed and held my attention throughout.  It offers drama, action, romance, and intrigue that kept me thoroughly entertained.   I adored the the strength and vulnerability of Kris and Korrin; it allowed me to become invested in their success and happiness.  I also appreciated Tawni role in the story, and hope to see more of her.  Definitely worth the read.  Looking forward to the next installment.

Legacy's storyline is intriguing, fascinating and tragic. It's a love story where the characters have to fight for each step they take towards, that all elusive flame.
It's a brilliant start to the new series, can't wait for the next book.

Kris and Korrin one night stand turns into a kidnapping and murder, betrayal. This one was a little slow for me but then it took off. I would never had thought the person that betrayed him was the one. You never know. Korrin doesn't want to be king but thinks there is no other way to protect the people and takes the throne.

Korrin likes to party. He doesn't want responsibility. Kris had a one night stand and ends up pregnant. She's in college and doesn't realize her life is about to change drastically.
Korrin's life is also about to change he rescues Kris and is left being responsible for his kingdom when he really doesn't want to.

Kris, after a one night stand, is pregnant and running from the truth. Finding out that Korrin, is from a royal family is a shock. Add to that he is a bear shifter and an enemy is attacking him, his family and Kris and you have a very enthralling first book of three. Can't wait to read what happens next. I received this arc, but I wanted to review. This is a very exciting series . Once I started reading I could not put down. The characters Kris and Korrin I loved these two characters in the story. Kris has a one nightstand with Korrin and barely remembers it ,but Korrin finds out that he is king and that Chris could be in danger because of this. Loved this story

This is an outstanding story by Ms. Fanning, so much action, drama, romance and suspense that I was unable to put it down!! The challenges that Korrin and Kris face in this book keep you drawn into the book wanting to know what will happen next!! Can not wait to see what happens in the second book of the series. Kris was a good girl who parents control everything she does. She went to Bucharest  to finish her schooling. She has always played by the rules study hard. But one night she gets drink and meets a guy and has sex in the back of a van. A one night stand or so she thought.

Korina is second in line to the throne. He father is dying and handing the throne to his brother Kaven. Korina is bored and wants nothing to do with his brothers party. So he goes to his room. He hears an explosion and his cousin Ruslo tells him his father and brother are gone. He is now the leader of the kingdom.

The last thing Korina want is to be kind and have to put up with the council. When he tries to give it to his cousin that falls apart. But he has time to realize that the murders of his father and brother and his girlfriend was mentioned to take out his whole family including him. But there is one more person Kris. With Ruslo's help they grab her for protection. But she thinks she is being kidnapped.  When she realizes that it's  her one night stand and the father of her child things get real.

Can they survive what's coming? Can Korina handle being King. How does the council handle him bringing a human into there kingdom? Can Korina trust Ruslo? I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. I have read a lot of book by Becca Fanning. This is the first book in a three part series. It is amazing book that had me hooked from start of the book. It is a quick read. I had hardest time waiting to read the other two parts. I can't wait to read more books by Fanning. I will recommend this book and author.

Becca Fanning knows how to tell an entertaining story and this one is no different. Unexpected consequences, one night stands and memory loss leads to Kris not knowing who is the father of her child. That doesnt stop Korrin from searching out the woman he sees in his future. Part one of three, but all books have been released.

A fantastic start to a new series,this was another great read from a super author and i really enjoyed it.This is Kris and Korrin's story and it sucked me in right from the start and had be hook until the very end would recommend this book to all.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest opinion

I love bear shifters and thoroughly enjoyed this first book in a series with great characters, romance and intrigue. A one night stand changed so many lives. I couldn't put it down and can't wait to read the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy and recommend it to lovers of this genre.

Although I do prefer to read standalone books, I did like this first book in the trilogy. By publishing all three books at the same time, Ms. Fanning did ensure that her readers did not have to wait to read subsequent books and that's something I appreciate. The storyline is somewhat different in that the bear shifters are members of a nomadic Romani Kingdom. Korrin is the reluctant King by default after the death of his father and his older brother's assassination. He and our heroine, Kris, have a one night stand which results in an unexpected pregnancy. The possibility that there is another heir in the wings puts Kris in the assassin's crosshairs. Under attack, Kris is rescued by Korrin. Throughout the book, danger seems to lurk around every corner, testing Kris and Korrin's relationship.

I feel that I got to know the characters well and became invested in their stories during this first book. There are plenty of twists and turns and enough action in and out of the bedroom to keep me interested in finishing the second book in this series.

Becca Fanning knows how to make intense stories. And this is another one. A shifter romance with action, betrayal and a few hoe scenes.

She went overseas to study but a one night stand will change her life completely. And that was before she found out that the man was a shifter.

A really enjoyable change of pace for this author. Exciting new world. Legacy is book 1 of a trilogy. No cliffhangers and a happy ending for now.

Kris is on a study abroad for her Masters degree at the insistence of her parents. The plans fall apart after Kris has sex with a guy she met at a bar. Emotionally thrown for a loop, she finds that she's pregnant.

Korrin, son of a shifter group's king, is waiting for his brother to take over the throne and worrying about his father’s declining health, although he pretends not to care.

When the celebration is attacked Korrin realizes Kris might be in danger and goes to find her. Meanwhile, Kris is dodging attacks. When Korrin finds her he has to kidnap her to get her to safety until the attackers and their motive is uncovered.

Legacy is a great mix of action, intrigue and romance. The whole trilogy is available so you won't have to wait long to find out what happens next.

I couldn't get enough of the story or the characters. It was all wonderfully written. This is a definite must read that you won't want to miss.
