Cyan Eous was Emily Pleva, the daughter of the man who created the Cyborgs. She was instrumental in helping them all escape Earth when she found out that they were slated for termination. As Cyan Eous she now works for the government in tracking down the escaped Markus Models, another Earth creation that are androids bent on killing all living things. She is captured by Cyborgs and taken into custody to determine if she is a danger to them. Krell is given the assignment to find out whether Cyan is a threat to the Cyborgs. Krell has been heavily scarred by humans when he was on Earth and is considered undesirable to cyborg females because of his looks. He isolates himself from other Cyborgs due to his status and concentrates on his work. His life seems lonely and joyless. When Cyan is put under his responsibility, she manages to get under his defenses and he finds that he is slowly becoming attracted to her and fills a part of his life that was empty. This is one of my favorite books in this series. Cyan is kick ass, smart, brave and due to her knowledge and abilities she is able to greatly help the Cyborgs. She helps Krell out of his isolation and their building romance toward each other is very appealing. It's not love at first sight (more like lust at first sight this being a Laurann Dohner book there is sex right off the bat), but taking small steps moving forward in their relationship only to fall back. Krell doesn't know whether to trust Cyan, but he also has to come to terms that a female would find him desirable. This can be read as a stand alone book.

Fun, sexy science fiction romance read. What I really loved about this book was Cyan. She was great fun. A stubborn, independent female who was actually capable. I get sick of stubborn, independent women in books that usually does something majorly stupid that requires the man to save her, all to prove how independent she is. No, sorry, but that isn't independence. That's stupidity. This one was great in that respect but it kind of immasculated Krell a bit, which sucks. But it wasn't bad as it could have been. But still a fun, seriously sexy read.

Taunting Krell is "Cyborg Seduction" book seven, and Laurann Dohner just continues to get better and better! This is my favorite book so far in this futuristic erotic/sci-fi series.
Earth scientist have created cyborgs, human clones with cybernetic enhancements. These cyborgs are to be Earth's ultimate soldiers, but soon humans realize they're hard to control. Humans decide they must destroy all cyborgs, however these new creations escape earth to try and find a new world where they can live in peace away from the danger of destruction. Female cyborgs are in short supply and must enter a breeding contract to insure the future of all cyborgs. Recently, though, some cyborgs have found themselves falling in love with human females thus shaking up the family pact breeding structure.
Our alpha hero in this story is Krell, a cyborg interrogator who was severally abused by humans when he lived on earth and is now left physically and mentally scarred. Krell is a brooding bad-ass fighter who is extremely sexy and dangerous. He finds himself assigned to interrogate Cyan, a fierce-fighting human with many secrets of her own. Can these two unlikely candidates find love in a cataclysmic world?
Laurann Dohner is truly a queen of great sci-fi romances. Ms. Dohner has been able to place a different slant on each epilogue that keeps her fans coming back for more. I love how this book gives us more historical background into the cyborg's pre-existence on earth and how the bulk of the drama takes place in different backgrounds than her previous episodes. Her concepts are truly imaginary. She's built a fictional world with detailed graphic descriptions that enthralls the mind and attaches our hearts.
Ms Dohner's books are refreshing and they do not seem to rehash the same plot line of previous works the way so many other authors tend to do. Her descriptive narrative creates a vivid movie that plays in the reader's mind, making her stories come to life in 3D cinema.
I love how her heroes, though enhanced with strength and superpowers, still face the same struggles and insecurities as humans do. Krell feels himself completely unworthy of female attention due to his physical scars. Because of Cyan's past life, she sees beyond the surface to the man Krell truly is. Soon you cannot help but fall in love with these two characters as they struggle, fight and love together. This action-packed saga engaged my interest from the beginning and stretched my imagination to the limit. As I previously stated, this series just keeps getting better and better!
Looking for a sci-fi adventure filled with dynamite love scenes and even more explosive drama? Well perhaps I should taunt you with "Taunting Krell"! It might just be the cyborg tale for you!

Another good story by Laurann D., when I heard that the next cyborg story was about Krell I was jumping for joy. I loved Cyan's sassy attitude, I don't remember a time when a prologue got me teary eyed. (FYI: I got teary eyed at least 3 times during the story.)
The only 2 things that I wished were different was the way it ended and since Zorus had a few pages in the story I wish that we got to hear from Charlie too, I would have liked for Cyan to have met Charlie since they lived in the same bldg. (Redeeming Zorus is still my fave cyborg story)
Why only 4 stars? The sex was hot between Cyan and Krell but not enough of it, I think this story had the least amount of sex compared to Laurann D prev books. Also there were some typos in the beginning of the book that I was shocked to see, this is the first time that I've seen any typos with LD's books.

Laurann Dohner really knows how to write a Great Sci-Fi romance. Even though this is a series, she has been able to deliver each one with a different slant that keeps a reader coming back for more.
Pros:
- Fresh concept added to the imaginary world that she has built
- Story flows smoothly making it a page turner
- Characters that you become "attached" to and want to see them get their HEA
- Love making scenes not just graphic description of the sex act
- "HOT" Alpha males
This series has just kept getting better. There is no repeating or rehashes of the same plot line of previous books that so many other authors seem to make the mistake of doing, (changing names but actions and dialogues are almost identical). Each one in Laurann Dohner's series is fresh with a unique story line that is absolutely fantastic.

Another great story. Before reading this book, I had just finished reading Redeeming Zorus and really LOVED that book. So I had high expectations for Taunting Krell. Although I still think Redeeming Zorus was a better read, I enjoyed Taunting Krell. I loved Krell. A scared character but still sexy and stubborn. I wouldn't say I loved Cyan but I liked her. Her personality was sometimes a little to forward & aggressive for my taste. However, the loves scenes were triple hot but there was not as much love scenes in this one compared to some of her other books. If you like physical action, there was a lot of it and Cyan being one tough cookie was in this mists of it all. If you are a fan of this series, I am sure you will enjoy this book.

Taunting Krell is another great installment in the Cyborg Seduction series. I personally love how Laurann Dohner keeps making the story fresh without being repetitive. Too many of my favorite serial stories have jumped the shark by just basically recycling the same story over and over again. Besides having a very interesting romance story between Krell and Cyan, the author includes a lot more detail of the Cyborg history, which I personally love. The prologue alone on this book is fascinating. If you like your romantic fiction with an interesting plot besides hot sex scenes, this series is for you. Taunting Krell has quickly moved to the number one spot on my list of books to re-read.

Kudos to Laurann Dohner for stepping it up a notch and making this story fascinating beyond the romantic plot. The scene between Zorus and Cyan where she yells at him for not learning from human mistakes and forcing people to breed is very moving. I admit, I teared up. I swear I could feel the depth of her anger and that rarely happens to me just from reading a book. Plus I also loved that Laurann gave Zorus more book time because he is my absolute favorite character in the Cyborg Seduction Universe.

Ms. Dohner has scored again with Cyan Eous as our heroine! She's smart, tech savvy, and can kick butt with any cyborg who crosses her path. She refuses to let the big, bad cyborg guys, who have captured her, control her life or thinking. There's nothing wrong with letting the females have feeling and weaknesses, but they don't all have to be screaming women with no thoughts of their own. Yea for such a wonderful female character! It's about time the wimpy women are going by the wayside.

I panned the first book in this series so harshly that I felt like I should review this one (which I loved) to make up for it a little. Krell is a very likable, real and sexy character. In fact, Cyan (the female lead) felt very real to me, too. The dialogue was good, the plot moved along, and as she fell for Krell, so did I.
I love this author in general, and this is my favorite of the cyborg series. Read it!

Krell is so violent, and throws Cyan around. Even after they had sex. And at almost 90% Krell still doesn't trust Cyan. He keeps hurting her over and over.
This book was ok. Not as good as the previous two.

Wow that was great!!!!
Excellent writing. Were there any emotions humanly possible not covered? I have been happily reading along this series. I don't normally make stops here as I am not a writer or publisher, but this one really stands out. Erotic and romantic. Very good book.

Totally agree with the other reviewers! Each book gets better and better! Cyan is kick-ass and Krell is bad-ass and really tugs at the emotions! And ..... there is a hot, steamy action story! All I can say at this point is - next book, please!

Cyan escaped those deadly Markus cyborgs and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was cyborgs that rescued her. That relief doesn't last long when Krell is the one to interrogate her. She has a secret from the cyborg/human past and it will physically hurt her to reveal it. She finds herself attracted to the sexy and scary cyborg. What can she do to make him trust her without telling him what she can't, and for him to keep her.
I loved learning more about the past between humans and cyborgs. It brings to light more of what the cyborgs faced when exiting earth and the humans that helped them. I loved the twists in this story. It was crazy the torment that the cyborgs were put through. I liked Cyan's character and who she is. Another great cyborg story in this series. I wasn't so sure I was going to like Krell but I found myself liking him in the end.

In the previous book with Zorus, I had slightly higher hopes for Krell's interogation/interpretation abilities, and this book fell a bit short in that aspect. I did enjoy the story line with Cyan and her chemistry with Krell, it made it different enough from the other books. I would say it was one of the better Cyborg books.
