Another good book by Sloane. I really like Sloane's books and this was no different. Two very different main characters working through their own personal guilt but then coming together for each other.

This was a well-written novel. Loved the characters, even though there'd been a few from previous novels, but I stopped trying to figure out who's who because I was more focused on the main characters.

Sloan Sloan Sloan what can i say this series just gets better book by book.
Dante has had a hard life and he slides through without any thoughts or cares for anyone else, that is until he has to be a bodyguard to Magnus, slowly the walls start to melt.
Please read this series i promise you will not be disappointed.

Atonement is the sixth book in the Protectors series. I might be the biggest Sloane Kennedy fan who ever lived. This series keeps getting better and better. More emotional, more in depth and sexier. The writing is outstanding and these characters are like family to me. I am so emotionally attached to the Protectors family and I look forward to new books in this series to the point where I'm constantly stalking Sloane. Shh…don't tell her! Atonement is Magnus and Dante's story. We've known both of these men for a while. Magnus is Matty's grandpa and Dante is the extremely attractive and wildly inappropriate man who was guarding Matty. Dante openly flirted with Magnus from the time they met, even though he knew Magnus didn't like men. He was known to say crude things just to get a reaction out of Magnus, but the reaction was always the same. Silence. Magnus knew exactly what Dante was doing and he wasn't going to give him what he wanted. He just tried to stay out of the way and ignore him. Dante wasn't having any of that and when Magnus walks in on Dante and some random hookup, something sparks between them. Magnus can't keep his eyes off Dante and Dante does what he always does. Pushes. But when Dante is assigned to accompany Magnus back to Texas for a trial where he's a key witness, Magnus isn't happy. He doesn't need a bodyguard, he can take care of himself. Dante is attracted to Magnus but hates the contempt he sees in his eyes. What he doesn't know is Magnus isn't disgusted by Dante, he's developed feelings for him and he has no idea what to do about them. He's never been attracted to a man before, but there's something about Dante that calls to the missing pieces of his soul. Dante is tortured and Magnus wants to be there for him. Wil their mutual pasts bond them or make Dante run? Can Magnus get Dante to trust him before he runs? I really loved this story. So much. Dante and Magnus are both so alpha, stubborn and just a man's man. They are tough, but suffering in silence and they are exactly what each other needs to heal and move on. My heart hurt for both of them. Overall, this is a story about trusting someone with your secrets and letting love in. Love is love and when you know it's right, it's the best thing to ever happen to you. I can't wait for more Protectors!
"You are the main course, Dante. Sex with you is just dessert."
"I have so much to teach you, Padawan. Now that we know you like d, it's like a whole new world has be opened up for you."

Absolutely loved Magnus and Dante, Every book in this series has been a treat to read. The story was compelling sexy and hot as hell. The struggles both men shoulder yet connect them in such a distinct way was thoroughly satisfying to watch unfold through the fantastic words. There were so many peaks and valleys and unexpected twists that keeps you so engaged. The layers that unfold even before the cloths come off held enough heat to burn. When these two men collide into each other in passion and heat it sets off a entirely new level and the ensuing story that propels forward had me on edge in anticipation as the suspense crests. Atonement was a fantastic addition to this fantastic series, of books, and I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter!

Awesome.. must read the entire Series! Great author. You really won't be disappointed with any of the books of all the series.. just try to start at the beginning... and then they begin to mesh..really cool twist how the author did this. I think I started with the escort series then the finding series then the protectors series.. but remember however you start you won't be able to put any of the books down.. they're that good and you'll love the whole family!!

There's NO words. Literally. I love all the books really really do. But as of now No. 6 is my fave now so far....love that Magnus got Dante finally to be who he really is and Dante dint fight it as much as i thought he was! They are AMAZINGLY HOT together whoo! Blew my mind! And the little bit of action came in at an awesome timing. Made me tear up though?when Dante finally said the words to Magnus right before he thought his life was ending....anyway. Sloan...another awesome book THANK YOU. Oh and the preview for no7? Amazing!!! Cant wait AGAIN lol...

I have been following all these series from this author and love them all. This is a large clan of characters and they are all so great. They are always there for each other and as this clan grows they just get better. This author is so amazing with all her stories. Magnus and Dante were another great couple with each having had a rough past. Looking forward to more great stories.

Atonement is one of the best Sloane Kennedy books that I have read by far! Dante and Magnus are two troubled men that have pasts that need to be settled before they can move forward with their lives. They seem to clash at first but soon settle in and the love and excitement begins along with heartbreak and understanding. This is a must read in her Protectors series.

Sloane Kennedy is amazing her books have complex characters with pasts that would cripple you. These tough sexy men help each other overcome their difficulties and learn to love and give love. They look beyond to see the real man, the hurt they have, the love they are capable of. Magnus and Dante's story intertwined with others in the series, old characters and new characters. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Definitely one of my favorites so far. This story was full of all kinds of twists and turns. Love the depth of the characters and I am always a sucker for an enemies to lovers vibe. I use the term enemies very loosely, mind you. I am also impressed, as always, with Kennedy's approach to family bonding and healing from trauma. The author has a Nack for balancing hopeful thinking with practicality. I look forward to reading more of this series and the related story lines.
