Just What I Needed is a lovely contemporary romance that made my heart happy and my world a better place. I love a sexy story about finding the one that completes you when you’re not even looking.
Trinity is an artist who has this amazingly creative mind. She is one of my favorite heroine’s of all time. She’s quirky and genuine with a dash of neurosis. I am not sure that I have ever related so much to a heroine as I do Trinity. She is very real. I adored her from the moment we meet her in chapter 1.
Walker is just… SWOON… I love him! He is one hard-working, hot-looking, sexy-ass man who knows how to take care of others. He is the best kind of people. He is successful on his own merit. The way he embraces all of Trinity and her idiosyncrasies is so refreshing and beautiful.
Miss James writes amazing characters in a beautiful story about not giving up and about accepting all of ourselves. We all have our own quirks and issues. That’s a part of life. I loved how these characters were so real and decided not to lose out on each other because of certain tendencies.
Just What I Needed is book 2 in Lorelei’s The Need You Series. It can be read as a standalone, however, I think you’ll fall in love with the Lund family as much as I have and want to start with book 1.

Oh Bearded, Man Bunned, Viking god Walker Lund! How I love you!
I read the first book in the Need You series and I knew Walker would be one of my favorites. From the absolutely hysterical "meet-cute" of Trinity and Walker to both of them being stubborn and pig headed I was captivated.
Walker is the self described black sheep of the Lund family choosing to be a hard working construction worker who co owns his own business and Trinity is a multi media artist with secrets in her past she would rather be able to ignore.
Their relationship is one that makes you want to hit them upside the head to see the amazing thing that's standing in front of them but at the same time so like real life you just have to chuckle. They reminded me so much of my own husband and I at times that I would smack him and get him to read sections as well.
I LOVED Just What I Needed and cannot wait to read about the rest of the Lund Siblings finding love.

Second in the Need You contemporary romance series and revolving around the Lund family of billionaires set in Minneapolis. The couple focus is on Trinity Amelia Carlson and Walker Lund.
My Take
Just ‘cause it’s a Lorelei James does not make it erotica. Instead, this is a sweet and cozy romance with warm characters you’ll love with the unloved daughter with the quirky self-obsession with her art who lucks into the loved son of a wealthy family who prefers to go his own way.
It becomes personal when James uses a first-person dual point-of-view from Trinity’s and Walker’s perspectives, diving into their relationships, those between man and woman, friend and friend, family and child, sibling to sibling, and parent and son. This is a supportive family, even when they’re being mad at each other…or too self-absorbed, lol.
It's a beautiful look into the life of one artist and how she copes. It's too bad she has such a jerk for a father. He is at least consistent in torpedoing his oldest daughter’s life. And then there’s Esther’s response. I LOVE her!
I am so grateful that, for the most part, society is able to talk openly about depression, getting counseling, etc. With luck and a few more decades, no one will feel the need to panic or want to hide it under the rug.
That side plot with Jase’s “new” diet was a crack-up, and a great way to round out a storyline. Oh, man, I do ADORE Selka. Wait’ll you read her riot act when Laura walks up, LOLOLOLOL.
It’s a romance that will make you smile and settle back with your feet up and the afghan over your legs with a cup of your favorite drink sitting by your hand.
The Story
Lying can really bite ya in the tush, as Trinity learns that night. But Fate, or is it karma?, has its own ideas with Walker Lund determined to find that sexy assailant.
The Characters
Trinity Amelia Carlson is an artist born on the wrong side of the blanket. Buttons is her cat. Laura is her stepmonster who decided she should be called “Amelia” as “Trinity” was too hippie-ish of a name. Kathryn (who just got engaged to Meyer) is her younger half-sister, who got Grandma Minnie’s pearls!, the ones that were to come to Trinity. Bobby is a half-brother. Robert Carlson is her father, a former senator, and CEO of Carlson Technologies. Paul is his aide.
"Trinity is a 'quart and a half low on normal, but you’re still not more than a smidge or two of crazy-pants'."
Genevieve is one of her best friends; Connor is the sexy rugby boy she meets at the start. The snippy Ramon, an artist with a fine arts degree who supplements his income by running a food truck, is another of Trinity’s friends. Davina is Ramon’s wife; Esteban is his brother. The realistic Miguel is Ramon’s partner in the food truck business. Nicolai is another friend and fellow artist.
Walker Lund broke from the family firm and is a successful contractor, partners with Jase Flint in their renovation/restoration business, Flint & Lund. Betsy is their office manager. Megan is the receptionist who makes bad coffee. Tiffany is Jase’s wife.
The Lunds are…
…the owners of Lund Industries (LI), a family-run corporation worth billions. Brady is his older brother, who hooked up with Lennox Greene in What You Need , 1. Annika is their sister who heads up the PR department. Jenson “the Rocket” is the younger brother who plays football for the Vikings. Aggie is his about-to-be-former agent. Dallas is the baby and still in college. Ward (the middle Lund son) and Selka (she’s their Swedish mother who likes to play up English-as-a-second-language) are their parents. Grandpa Jenson taught Walker about carpentry; Grandpa Lund was a major jerk.
Archer is Ward’s older brother and the CEO. Monte is the younger brother and president of the LI board of directors. Walker’s cousins include Jaxson, Ash, and Nolan. Jaxson “Stonewall” Lund plays hockey with the Chicago Blackhawks; Milora Michele “Mimi” Lund is his daughter. Lucy, a.k.a., Lucifer, is his ex-wife. Ash Lund is the chief operating officer for LI, and Nolan Lund is dating Paris. Aunts Edie and Priscilla are only some of the Lund matriarchs who are matchmaking. At the Lund family’s house, Fabian is the groundskeeper. Maxwell is the head of catering.
LCCO is…
…Lund Cares Community Outreach, one of LI’s charities, and the kids are expected to volunteer their time. Chris is the director of the Seventh Street Community Center’s theatre group and Nate is his AD. And Walker has volunteered to build their sets.
Bob Higgins. Reggie is one of Walker’s buddies. Igor, a Russian, and “Santa” Klaus “Axl" Hammerquist, a Swede, are hockey players and friends of Jaxson’s. Kiley is Lennox’s old roommate.
Esther Stephens is a potential buyer; Michael is her husband. Liddie had been Esther's best friend in college. Dagmar Kierkegaard is a freelance art curator who is a BIG name in the art world and a friend of Michael's.
Milo, an electrician, is Trinity’s ex-boyfriend. Penelope is the toothpick-sized, D-cup he’s dating. Randy is the previous ex-boyfriend. Tommy and Vance are a couple of guys at the bar. Walker has had some crazy exes, including Firebug Fiona, Wailing Whitney, Neurotic Natalie, Angry Amy, Vicious Vera, and Zoned-Out Zoë.
The Cover and Title
The cover is soft with its blue sky and pink sunset over the black silhouette of Minneapolis. Between the two colors are Trinity and Walker in a happy embrace, both blond, both in striped tops, and I gotta say Walker looks a lot like an old boyfriend of mine. The series information is teeny in white at the top while the author’s name is large and pale yellow across their torsos. The title is small, in white, and at the bottom just above the buildings.
The title is Just What I Needed when Trinity kisses that strange blond at the bar.

Oh, Walker and Trinity made me tear up, they made me laugh, they totally sucked me in with the wonderfulness that was them!
Walker is the Lund that didn't go into the family business, or become a sports star, he did what he wanted to do, and went into construction. He worked his way up, and is happy with his life, but he doesn't want the spot-light, he is more settled in his life. When Trinity literally jumps into his arms, they both feel a connection they didn't expect. When they end up meeting again, they decide to explore it a bit further
That is it, this is the evolution of their relationship, and all the craziness, emotions, family, friends, jobs, life, and outside forces that happen when you meet someone you want to spend time with, and watch it grow. They are both sweet, fierce, anchored, unexpected, loyal, and so hot together, if you are like me, once I started their story, there was no stopping!

I LOVE. LORELEI. JAMES. No, seriously. I REALLY do. I have read ALL of her books and could not wait for this one! So when I got it, naturally, I spent an entire afternoon consuming it. And I am SO happy that I did.
From the get-go, I knew that I would love Trinity. She is a fuller figured, spunky and cute girl who goes out and plants one on a guy in a bar. I mean, who doesn’t wish they had the self-confidence to do that?! But instead of giving the guy even the slightest of a chance, she gives him a fake name and non-working phone number. Fast-forward a little bit, and she finds herself back in his path…and eventually with his heart.
Walker and Trinity are ADORABLE. Walker is a down to earth, family man who clearly loves a woman for who she is, not for what he hopes he can make her become. From the moment these two met, their chemistry built and built until it absolutely exploded. The journey to their happily ever after was a perfectly paced ride, building and building with every single encounter. Of course, Lorelei James has the ability to write some seriously steamy and sexy scenes, and she does not disappoint!
It’s an incredibly sweet, believable romance that transpires just as it should, and left me begging for more from this extremely talented author.
***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog, from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

I really enjoyed the second book in the "Need You" series. Lorelei James is one of my favorite author's and this series is a refreshing change from her other novels.
The book really reels you in right from the beginning. Trinity is in a bar and sees her cheating ex and his new squeeze there as well, so she decides to prove she's not a total loser by kissing a stranger. He just so happens to be Walker Lund, a hot lumberjack-looking guy that walks into the bar at the right time it seems. They have a connection from the very beginning and chat in the bar for quite a while. Unfortunately, Trinity gives him both the wrong name and number (not entirely intentional), so they don't reconnect right away once they part ways.
Being a Lund, Walker has resources to track her down, but they eventually run into each other at a community theater where Trinity is the artist painting the sets and Walker is the volunteer constructing them. They reconnect again and begin a slow romance. I really liked this part since a lot of romance novels rush through the romancing part, but Walker took it slow with Trinity.
Walker was a gentleman and hottie with a man bun and the somewhat black sheep of the family since he's the only one who didn't go to college and he owns a construction company instead of working the family business. I really connected with his character and liked everything about him. He was patient, kind and didn't try to make a big deal about the money he had due to his family name. He was really the 'boy next door' type of character and that was nice since a lot of these 'rich guy' romances make the guys out to be total pricks in the beginning.
Trinity annoyed me at times. She seemed to get into her own head a lot and made rash decisions. After learning a bit more about her upbringing though and meeting her 'friends,' I can see why she was a bit insecure. I have to say though, Mrs. Lund became one of my favorite characters in the stepmother scene. I was cheering her on the whole time :-)
I also liked the intervention at the end between the Lund men and Walker. It really made me like the family even more since family plays such a critical role in this series and the values instilled by the elder Lund's really shows in their children/nephew at the end.
Overall, I highly recommend this book, even if you don't read the first in the series. This one is such a great story with some valuable life lessons thrown in.

The second installment in Lorelei James’s Need You series is as well written as all of her other books. From the opening scene, we get tons of insight into the personalities of both Walker and Trinity with a really charming introduction. Their first moments together are unique, funny and make for a great “how’d you two meet” story.
There are so many layers to this story. Interestingly, neither shares who they really are with the other. They both fear their family connections will negatively affect the other’s impression of them. You can guess how well that goes over.
Walker and Trinity are complex, interesting and a bit damaged. Walker is so good at dealing with Trinity’s artistic personality. He’s caring and giving even when what she needs is time alone to work. More than once, Walker puts a stop to things, when Trinity wouldn’t have, because he knows she has a project to finish. What guy does that? Only a guy with Walker’s character and sensitivity. James does a great job at creating a man who’s sweet and in-touch with his woman’s feelings but remains strong and independent.
Trinity isn’t as damaged as she thinks but her father and stepmother did a real job on her ego. She comes from a family of means who’ve neglected to give her any emotional support. She’s continued this in her adult life by choosing friends where treat her much the same. Even her chosen profession offers too much opportunity of negative feedback. Part of coming into herself is learning when to discard people who treat her poorly. Walker comes from a family that’s both affluent and loving but he gets lost in the shuffle among the many overachieving siblings and cousins. The two quickly find they can give each other the love and support each needs but in typical real-life fashion, they have to first deal with issues that threaten to destroy their fresh relationship.
Their chemistry is off the charts hot from the first meeting but they don’t jump into bed too quickly. It was refreshing that they took time to get to know each other though it’s not really a conscious decision they make. The suspense and build up are really sexy.
I think there are a lot or Trinitys out there and far too few Walkers. That's what love about romance novels is the belief that there is a great partner out there for each of us. James always gives us a happily ending after wringing our emotions dry getting to it!

Just What I Needed is the second installment in Lorelei James’ contemporary romance Need You series. It’s funny, sweet, sexy, and an all around amazing read.
The way Walker and Trinity meet is epic. I LOL’d at the way Trinity…well…you’ll have to read to find out. And Walker’s reaction was priceless. These two characters are destined to be together from the beginning and there’s enough chemistry to burn up the pages. I fell head over heals in love with both the characters right away.
Trinity is a spit fire. I’m not sure how Lorelei had done it but she has really hit it out of the park with the heroines in this series. I knew Lennox in book #1 was great and now Trinity has pushed her way into my top 5 favorite heroines as well. I love how she challenges Walker at every step. She is constantly keeping him on his toes. Walker is one fine specimen of a man. His Lumbersexual look with the beard and long hair is enough to make any woman swoon, add in his amazing physique and…wow! . He is smart, sexy, successful, and works with his hands. Best part about him is he understands and appreciates Trinity’s creative mind and all her quirks and he quickly figures out how to be the man she needs. He is dependable, loyal, and when he loves, whether it be his family or his woman, he does so with his whole being.
I truly enjoyed this story. Lorelei has done spectacular job. She has managed to portray the closeness, love, and loyalty that this family stands for. No matter what is happening, they are always there to lend a helping hand or give each other a hard time, whichever is needed, lol. Oh and I best not forget to mention Selka Lund, she is a hoot! She cracks me up at every turn and still manages to be the wise mother she needs to be. The secondary characters, including Brady and Lennox from book #1, really pull this story together and make it a well rounded read.
I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I cursed but in the end I fell madly in love, all over again, with the entire Lund family. I am so excited to get to read about the other Lund men and women we get to meet along the way. Way to go Lorelei, you nailed it!

What is worth fighting for? What is worth reaching out for?
Trinity Carlson has had better days, though if she were truly honest she hadn’t had a lot of them lately. That said she hadn’t had one this bad in a while. So one reckless thing wouldn’t hurt, right? It could be a turning point, the only question was which way would it turn?
Walter Lund was tired of being the black sheep. He was tired of living a half a life. Most of all he was tired of his new role in his family. It wasn’t that he begrudged his brother the love and the happiness that he had found, but yes he was a little jealous and yes he hated where it left him with regards to his family. So now he needed something new.
Trinity was definitely something new. When she walked it and gave Walter a one two punch he knew life was going to be different. However when secrets and half truths come out will either one trust the other again?
What a follow up to the first book. The Lund family is certainly something to watch out for as Ms. James works on this fantastic series. There is an element of community as well as the love of family and of course the heart and heat of any of Ms. James’ work. This novel will have you questioning how you spend your free time, in a good way, and will have you looking more deeply into who you are. This is a wonderful and insightful read. The problem… waiting for the next one in the series.

Just What I Needed was just what I needed over the weekend. It's the second book in Lorelei James's Need You Series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but if you read them in order you'll learn more about the hot Lund brothers. Just What I Needed was such a fun romance! I loved how Trinity and Walker met and their banter was fun. The chemistry between these two was immediate but their relationship was a slow build. Just What You Needed was a sexy and flirty love story that held my interest from start to finish. This is just a great summer read to curl up with and get lost in for while. I highly recommend the series and can't wait for the next release!

Just What I Needed is the next installment with the Lund Family. Uber-rich family based out of Minneapolis, MN. Walker Lund however does not have much to do with Lund Industries; he only serves on the board and openly admits that he ‘checks out’ about half way though those meeting. Walker is a co-owner of a construction/renovation company. After a meeting that didn’t go the way he wanted to he went to a bar where he met Trinity Amelia Carlson. She happens to be at the same bar that Walker is at because she also had a bad day. Being thanked by a couple of randoms as they leave, they call her Amelia. Walker assumes that is her name and she never corrects him, so when he asks for her number after a life altering kiss, she raddles off her old number. Leaving Walker with no way to get in contact with her.
Trinity Amelia is an up and coming artist, but like most artists, she is just trying to pay her bills. After a piece that she was banking on is decommissioned, she heads to the bar with her girlfriend. Gen leaves her stranded with her margaritas when Trinity’s ex walks in and she realizes that they had been together before the break up happened. She told her ex that she was waiting for her boyfriend, so when Mr. Walker Lund shows up, she walks up to him and gives him an unforgettable kiss. She knew that she should have corrected when those two guys called her Amelia, but she didn’t. She did realize later that she actually had a good conversation with Walker and wished she had been more honest.
As we learned in the first book in this series, What you Need, everyone in the Lund Family serves on the Lund Cares Community Outreach (LCCO) and it happens to be Walkers turn to build some sets for a local theater. Trinity, trying to make some money, takes a job from LCCO (not knowing who they are) to paint sets at the local theater. Needless to say, they meet again and the chemistry is still there.
These two have good chemistry and banter. I love that these two are different than the norm and that is one of the things that helps to push them apart, but keeps them together. I adore how Silka Lund comes to the aid of her boys and the women they love. I also love how this family is close and they have the need to stay that way, even through tough times. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series to see who’s story we will hear next.

These Lunds are killing me! They're so wonderfully lovable, so endearingly human, and so full of heart that I keep losing my own heart to them over and over again.
I crazy adored Walker and Trinity. It took me a little bit to warm up to the story—I mean, it starts off with a bang and hooked me immediately, but for whatever reason. I didn't open my heart to Walker and Trinity immediately. I always approach these "billionaire love stories" with a bit of skepticism, so I feel like the author needs to work extra hard to get me to buy in and Ms. James did exactly that. I wasn't kidding about these Lunds (and their lovely ladies) being so endearingly human. I completely related to both Walker and Trinity and wholly enjoyed the slow build of their romance.
That's right—it starts off with a bang, but builds slowly after that. Trinity and Walker are both a little wounded emotionally, and are a little hesitant to go all in. The build is sweet and adorable, the sexual tension is palpable, and the pay-off is fantastic. There are a couple little twists and turns that I wasn't expecting but kept me on my toes and thoroughly entertained. And, of course, the Lund family. They're a little crazy (Selka Lund, in particular, is a personal favorite), a little rowdy, and full of warm familial affection.
Just What I Needed stands on its own as a quirky, sweet, sexy second installment in Ms. James's Need You series. If you haven't met the Lunds yet, you're missing out! While completely satisfied and heart-happy with the resolution of Trinity and Walker's story, I'm left hungry for more (this book set up some future storylines that I am super anxious to get my hands on!) of this fantastic series! ~ Shelly, 4.5 stars

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
So the synopsis gives you the straight story but the conflict and trouble comes from the fact that Trinity Carlson has a family that she doesn’t speak of. Walker Lund has a family that he loves but never gets a chance to tell Trinity about them. He assumes that she already knows who his family is. These two are hot for each other but Trinity comes with some emotional baggage. Walker doesn’t mind that and except for her being a little spacey, she is the perfect woman for him. When the two families meet that’s when the s**t hits the fan.
If you are a fan of good romance I recommend this book. If this was the genre that I was into I would read the whole series. The writing is articulate and few if any typos. I wish the story had more angst. It just felt too light and fluffy to me. I like my stories a little dark and twisted. What I loved about this story is the fact that the heroine is an artist skilled in various media. I too am an artist skilled in various media, though I don’t have the kinds of quirks the character has. I do wish I had her success, however. I would love to see the art piece the author based her description on of the big project described in this story. Some of the layering and techniques described I just cannot picture being used in one piece. I am also very familiar with Minneapolis and some of the artists there. Minneapolis is a very democratic city and I could see the Lund family fitting in there very well but not the family of the senator.

Just What I Needed by Lorelei James
Trinity & Walker
4 Stars
This is my first book by Lorelei James. It's comical, lovable, and very well rounded. Usually the books I read are so dark and gritty, that it was nice to read something with less chaos.
Trinity is an artist, sometimes struggling, but making ends meet. She keeps her family at arms length and rightfully so. They not only treat her like the "redheaded stepchild," but they barely even acknowledge her presence.
Walker is from the infamous "Lund" family, but similar to Trinity, he keeps his distance from them for fear of getting the third degree on his dating life from his Momma, or getting roped into helping one of his sibs or cousins.
The supporting character cast is pretty huge. Walker has a ton of family... brothers, sisters, cousins, Mom, Dad, etc. Trinity has her friend Gen... I loved this girl... always pushing Trin to make decisions out of her comfort zone and opening her eyes to the bad juju going on around her.
So, to wrap this up... I found the story very well written and the characters exceptionally developed. The dialogue flowed and felt natural. The tension leading up to the climax was good. It's 367 (kindle version) pages long and just a little bit too vanilla for my taste, but still good none-the-less.

The Lunds are back and burning up the pages. Just What I Needed by Lorelei James is the second book in the Need You series.
The Need You series is not your typical billionaire romance series. Lorelei James has put her own special blend to this insanely rich family. This mega rich family is completely normal. They are completely human, possessing their own quirks, strengths, and their own stamps of individuality that endear them to the readers. The family dynamics is the one thing Lorelei James does extremely well while creating a love story that stands on it's own merit.
Just What I Needed starts with a bang that draws the reader into Walker and Trinity's story. What proceeds is a slow, delicious build up to a charming story. Both Walker and Trinity have been emotionally wounded. Learning to trust, open up, and love again isn't the easiest thing for either of them. Both are bent on forging their own ways in the world but their hearts are bent on merging their worlds together. With a nudge from fate, a little family interference, Trinity and Walker on the right path to happily ever after.
Lorelei James wrote a fun, sexy book to add to the Need You series. The personalities were larger than life and the steamy love scenes were blistering!

Once again Lorelei James has given us a great story in this series.
You will fall in love with Walker Lund and Trinity Amelia Carlson. Two independent people that feel disconnected from their family pulled together with instant attraction only they are determined to not want each other and that pulls them that much closer together.
Walker Lund stepped away from the family business to run his own construction company. Trinity Carlson is an up incoming artist trying to get her break. Having shared a couple of hot moments at the bar, Trinity doesn't quite trust herself and gives him the wrong name and telephone number, thinking they are never going to bump paths again. When they bump into each other again at the bar and Trinity goes right to Walker and kisses him with no warning, Walker knows there is more he wants to pursue with Trinity.
When Walker agrees to work for the LCCO (Lund Community Cares Outreach Program) he is shocked to see Trinity there as well. Sparks fly, chemistry explodes as they take the tumble and fall from lust to love.
This story is quirky and fast paced. You will laugh out loud at times, and get all hot and bothered at others. Can't wait for the next one!!!!

When I think of a Lorelei book I automatically think of how hot will this book be? In her new contemporary series, the steam is put on the back burner; however, what it is lacking in steam is made up in a humorous, sweet, and sensual story.
The opening scene is one of the best I've read. It hooked me!
I adored Walker Lund! He is such a charismatic and fun hero without seeming too over the top alpha or a beta hero. He falls somewhere in the middle, which is the kind of hero's I like.
Artist heroines are typically my least favorited heroine of all. I just can't connect with them, which is weird because I'm a crafty kind of person. I did like Trinity though. I thought she was super funny and adorable. I just zoned out when there was a lot of talk about art. Nothing wrong with it or the story, just a personal preference.
Once again, Mama Lund stole the show. I freaking love her. She's awesome, I love how she took Trinity in and adored her too. I love her and Walkers relationship. She got him!
I'm looking forward to more stories with the Lund siblings!
4-4.5 stars!

A spontaneous kiss with a stranger leads to opposites attracting between two "black sheep" from wealthy families who weren't looking for someone to "complete" them but find that they are the yin to each other's yang and if a little crazy comes with that, that's okay with them.
Lorelei James writes some damn HOT down to earth heroes and strong, multilayered heroines. Gotta love that!
Loved that heroine was super artsy AND successfully talented to point of realizing she gets "lost" and needs reminders to join the world and show hero she is falling for him. Also loved that hero suffers from "middle child" syndrome where everyone always assumes he's "good" and while he's super grounded and doing well, the family rallies to support him in getting his HEA.
A really strong series, loved book 1, and now book 2 was even stronger. Really looking forward to more from the other brothers and cousins in this refreshing, well paced, and smexy-fun NEED YOU series!

I have read this book twice so far. It is hilarious and grabs your attention. You just want to keep finding out what happens next. I loved the main characters Trinty and Walker. She is your artsy, liberal female with a quirky personality. She says hilarious things and her actions are bold. She met Walker at a dive bar. After a bad day in her studio and the loss of commission on her art piece she decides that the next guy that walks in she is going to kiss him. Well who other than hot Walker walking in after his hard day at work. So they have a drink and the connection is there. More hilarious things happen a wrong name, a disconnected number but fate has its way and Walker and Trinity have their happily ever after. Stand alone book but it's the 2nd in the series.
I can't wait for this one to come in the mail it's on sale!!!

In Just What I Needed (book 2) we are reintroduced to Walker Lund, one of the Lund boys and part owner of a renovation business, and introduced to Trinity Carlson, a budding artist, who while experiencing some success, is still looking for that one opportunity that will send her career to the next level.
After clearing up a couple of miscommunication issues, Walker and Trinity realize they share a few major commonalities, perhaps the most important being that they both feel like the black sheep of their families. As with any relationship there are difficulties along the way, but the love that ensues makes the hardships well worth the effort. What’s a little romance without a little angst, right?
I’ve really grown to love the Lund family and all of their craziness, and I can’t to see whose story we get to read next. Thanks, Lorelei, for giving us another great book.
It’s not necessary to read What You Need (book 1) to enjoy this book; however, you won’t regret it if you do.

I would follow Lorelei into any genre or series or probably anywhere because I enjoy her stories so much. ( sounds stalker like????). Trinity and Walker are just my absolute favorite couple. They both have a little of the "crazies" going on, between their history and their families, but Walker is determined it won't keep them apart! I love female heroines who truly deserve the title because they can save themselves but because of their destined hero, they don't have to. And a strong hero is one who can take one for team, remind them to just "breathe" and go on. Isn't that every woman's dream, to be a Trinity and have a Walker???? Do not miss this book. Actually do yourself a favor and read the first book. And if you really love yourself, go to the rough riders series and have a great week or two of reading!!

I haven't laughed so hard while reading a romance story in months. Walker...where do I begin? "A man's man" seems too cliche. But that is what he is. He is the kind of man you want to come home to. Trinity has a little of all of us in her, but those sides we hate to admit we have. The magnetism between he and Trinity from the start is utterly electric. Such a fantastic love story, not without a few twists and turns, but a HEA awaits you. As with all of Lorelei James' books, the secondary characters are not to be overshadowed by the leads. Walker's mother is the mom that all of us strive to be, and a mom that every girlfriend dreads. I can't wait to see what happens when Annika has her time in the spotlight, as the only daughter. You won't be disappointed as you delve further into the world of the Lund's.

Walker & Trinity are the main characters of this book, & as usual she writes them so you enter their world! At times it drug a bit, & things seemed to be repeated, but I still couldn't wait to see what was going to happen. There were a few wrenches in their romance, but it wasn't the typical fight-break up-make up rinse & repeat a lot of other romance books are. I found these relatable & fit the story!
As it's the second book of the Need You series, it is a bit tamer than her other series & I feel more comfortable recommending these books to a wider variety of friends and family.
I am definitely looking forward to getting to know more of the Lund family.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. In no way did that influence my opinion.

Oh, oh, oh my....
Another Lund - manbun and all.... :-)
I liked this one more than the first book in the Need You series. The familiarity of the caracters is allways a great add to a story, and being taken back into the story of their lives allways gets to me.
In this book we get to know another Lund, Walker. When he meets Trinity at a dive bar, and gets to know her very intimate at the first second, it's a fun and delightful surprise to him, and to me as a reader. Being left with a fake name and number, the hunt begins....
Trinity is fun and at the same time very real. The back and forth between them is so well-written, and we get a wonderfull re-visit with Mama-Lund and her insightfull perspektive on her sons.
All in all a good read, that I recommend to anyone with a romantic strike!

Ms. James doesn't disappoint with the 2nd book in this series.
From the first words to the last, you will love Walker and Trinity!
What girl hasn't had a bad day made worse by running into an ex? Trinity gives Walker a "hello" kiss to show her ex she's moved on....and that she does!!!
After an equally bad day what guy wouldn't want a kiss from a hot stranger?
These two have chemistry from the start. Both have layers that they keep hidden as well as what their last names mean. Once they finally hit the sheets, the sparks fly!
This book will keep you reading to the last word and beg for more!

I loved this book. Despite their quirks and flaws Walker and Trinity worked. Walker kept Trinity grounded and she centered him with her needs.
The book brought out all my emotions. I was laughing and crying with this couple. There were also times I wanted to toss my Kindle in frustration and anger. I was also hurting for these characters.
The couple was real and struggled a bit to find their common ground but they were able to work through the bad times to get to the God ones.
I'm definitely looking forward to read more about the Lund family.

Walker is the middle child of the Lund family. He's dependable, loving and an all around great guy. Trinity is a brilliant artist who rides the emotional highs and lows of her creative process. They balanced each other out and really are great together. I enjoyed this story because it was so relatable and the dialogue was witty and intelligent.
As a contemporary romance it does a good job of creating a world and family dynamic that is intriguing and worthy of getting lost in.
What I loved most about this story is how affectionate the couple is with each other. Their relationship wasn't centered around sex but rather getting to know each other and becoming what the other needed. Excellent read!

What a fantastic sweet romance! I absolutely loved Walker and Trinity. Walker the hot, understanding, almost perfect contruction guy and Trinity the quirky, loveable artist.
From the first time they met and how, to their HEA ending, these two thoroughly entertained me with their humor and banter. The slow and steady build up to a physical relationship and their discovery of each other's present and pasts makes a great story. There is humor, discovery, passion, and heartbreak in this second book of The Need You Series. A great read. ARC provided by the author, but that has not influenced my review.

Just finished reading "Just What I Needed" and was pleased with the storyline and the Happily Ever After Walker and Trinity deserved and got. The beginning was a little jarring for me. The whole bar scene and what Trin was going through was a little confusing, but when she met Walker and they - eventually - settled into each other I did to. I loved the relationship Walker had with his family. The life he led brought him to Trinity for a reason. Their personalities complemented each other. The scenes at the birthday party and after were heartbreaking. I hurt for Walker and Trinity. When Walker's brothers held their intervention for him I felt relief that they finally did for him. I cheered at the end of the book and can't wait for the next installment in this series. I love the Lund family! thanks Lorelei James for creating another family to fall in love with.

Enjoyed this 2nd book in the Need You series, Immensely!! Just What I Needed, keeps the fun and intrigue going for the Lund Family. Walker Lund is sexy and self-assuredly hot in an unarrogant way. Trinity Carlson is a very talented, unique artist, somewhat self-conscious.
Their meeting and journey to being soul mates has some bumps in the road, kept me laughing.
A refreshing fun read of two independent, real, make my own way people. As with all of Lorelei James' books, I can't wait for the next in this series!

2nd book to the Need You Series....
Did not disappoint!! Loved it!! What can I say about these hot Lund men *sigh*, I thought Brady was HOT but Walker is my new favorite!! He sports a beard, long hair that he sometimes has in a man-bun.... Adored Trinity for him too! A strong Heroine with artist quirkiness. They hit their bumps that they had to overcome, which just made their relationship so worth the effort!! Can not wait for the next book of the series, Lorelei James is a great author, one of my favorites!!

I love the characters in this book. Walker and Trinity are both fun characters to get to know. Like most of us they are carrying baggage from childhood and failed relationships that color how they react to one another.
In book one of the series, we met the Lund family, in this book the extended family is an important part of the story line. It doesn't take away from walker and Trinity;s story, it adds a depth to the characters making them more believeable.
The only draw back to the story is that it felt like it ended abruptly, I would have liked to see another chapter or two to round out the story.

Lorelei James has another winner!! She is one of my favorite authors. I read everything she publishes and am never disappointed. This is a fabulous series and I love the Lund family. Walker and Trinity were awesome together. He got her and all of her issues. He was truly a great character. I had a harder time relating to Trinity but she was very sympathatic as she was trying to work through her issues.

Lorelei James knew Just What I Needed; this book! She never disappoints me in her writing or the way she develops her characters. You will fall in love with the quirky, creative, fainting goat antics of Trinity Carlson! It's a given that Walker Lund will capture your heart and imagination. He's a beautiful example of a Lumbersexual! They both have their obstacles to get over, but with patience, an open mind and a little making out....Walker and Trinity come together to make the perfect couple.
I ordered my ebook on ibooks, but I love this book so much, I need a hard copy!

Loved this book! Lorelei James knows how to write romance. Period. Walker and Trinity's chemistry and romance is hot and sweet. However, I think Selka really stole her scenes in this book. I love that woman.
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I really liked Walker, “telling a man you’re not wearing pants will lure him in every time, babe. Where should I put this stuff?” Walker could be so sweet, “with your sex hair and the pink tinge to your cheeks and your mouth looking well used. It’s about all I can do not to haul your luscious *** back up to my bed.” I liked this book, I loved Walker.

Trinity Carlson and Walker Lund’s initial meeting is quite memorable and their relationship seems meant to be when they finally connect with each other again. Right from the beginning, there is a powerful attraction between them but what really makes their relationship work is the fact that they just get one another. Both have an off-beat, quirky sense of humor but more importantly, they naturally fit in each other’s lives. Although they truly enjoy spending time together, Trinity and Walker understand that sometimes work comes first so when they are together, they savor one another’s company. While their romance is mostly trouble free, Trinity and Walker each have a few secrets they yet to reveal to one another. However, Trinity’s unhealthy way of dealing with problems is what eventually threatens to derail their relationship.
Trinity is a truly gifted artist with a few deep-seated insecurities that undermine her confidence. With few close friendships, she has a tendency to overlook negative influences and she allow her friends’ toxic behavior to continue unchecked. It takes her a while to find her backbone, but Trinity is definitely a force to be reckoned with once she takes charge of her life. She is very self-aware and she warns Walker upfront that she can be a little difficult to deal with and she is quick to point out her neuroses. Despite her idiosyncrasies, Trinity is a wonderfully charming, loyal woman with a fantastic sense of humor and an interesting personality.
Walker views himself as the black sheep of his family since he has no interest in joining the family business. He is happy with the niche he has carved out for himself and while he is extremely close to his family, he is sometimes a little lost in the midst of his über successful and high achieving siblings and cousins. Walker’s family certainly loves him but lately they find it easy to overlook him until they need his help with something. Despite his long string of failed relationships, Walker never loses hope he will find the right woman to share his life with.
Trinity and Walker’s relationship is such a delight to watch unfold. The banter between them is laugh out loud funny and they completely complement one another. Well-planned outings and sweet, thoughtful gestures provide the perfect backdrop for burgeoning romance. A delicious anticipation builds as they get to know each other before acting on their simmering attraction. While their relationship is mostly free from conflict, they are quick to resolve the issues that crop up in a realistic, forthright manner. Although Walker and Trinity fall in love rather quickly, their feelings for one another ring true.
Just What I Needed is a fun, sexy addition to the Need You series. Although the storyline is mostly light-hearted, there are serious undertones that will resonate with readers. Old and new fans of Lorelei James do not want to miss this latest novel starring the close-knit and lovable Lund family.
