Overall it was an ok read. There were a few errors in there but nothing too bad. The flow of the story just wasn't consistent to me. It was a hot sentence followed with warm flutter and unnecessary extras that took away from the story for me. I read everything from romance to erotica to smut (lol), this feels like a romance writer trying to do erotica but just couldn't stick to it. For others this may have been great but for me....not so.

Couldn't put it down from page one! Lucia Jordan knows what shes doing. Emma and Conrad have such a steamy chemistry together from the start. Fighting with herself not to give in to to his devilish charm on a promise to her best friend Emma, who happens to be Conrad's sister!

Emma and Conrad have great chemistry together. Emma is the best friend of Conrad's sister, Violet. Conrad decides he wants an escort for a charity ball he has to attend. Violet finds out and is appalled and convinces her best friend, Emma, to play the part. Conrad thinks Emma is an escort when she shows up for their date. I love their playful/flirty banter. Emma, having heard how great Conrad is for years from Violet, has been crushing on him from afar. They end up sleeping together, and as always Lucia gives us steamy scenes. But Emma had promised Violet she wouldn't do that. Now she doesn't know what to do. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next.

The writing was good, so is the premise. It was to short to be the beginning of a series. It left you hanging. Trust your writing Don't use that kind of hanger to get people to read more of your work.

I thought this book was good. The passion and desires of Conrad and Emma is something I enjoyed. They both have a desire for each other yet know there may be an underlying reason for it. I'm anxious to read the rest of the series.

I thought this book was sweet the way Violet cared about her brother. Her friend that she picked wasn't trying to go to bed with him but things happen.
I want to read rest of series to see what will happen if both Conrad and Violet find out what is really going on.Confusing because they all should be mad at each other
I recommend this series

This is a decent read. A story worth following up on. Will Conrad be able to bring the dark desires Emma has hidden from herself to the surface? Did Conrad sister Violet set Emma up with Conrad to protect Conrad or Set Emma up to really fall for her brother. Looking forward to reading the rest of this series

This book was entertaining for all the wrong reasons.

I was laughing out loud at the “dirty talk” and the descriptions of Emma’s genitals. She did nothing but “quiver” throughout the entire thing.

“Quelling another full body quiver”

“a volcanic rush that turned her quivery thighs to jelly”

“her full lips quivering”

“already quivering in secret corners”

By secret corner, do you mean your vagina, Emma?

Her character was basically a constant flip flop. She was there to play the role of an escort, and couldn't let Conrad know that she (apparently) has been fatasizing about him for years.

“Emma had accepted to take on [this mission] with the understanding that none of this was real. As such she could never let Conrad guess her true feelings for him, no matter how tempting it was to give into reckless desire.”

Thats a bit hard to do when she always has to deal with her body doing things like

“As every nut and bolt in her pussy tightened with joyous acknowledgement of this object of her fantasies.”

and

“Quell a sudden sense of dripping from her hidden folds”

and

“her nipples twinging”

and thinking about

“riding his cock till her brain matter ignited”

The story, what story? There is more story in the blurb than there is in the entire 37 pages of this. I had no idea it was set in Denver until I read the blurb (after reading the story). There is also no explaination that they had ever met before, like is hinted in the blurb. Good storytelling there.

The sexy talk and sex descriptions, when it wasn't causing me to laugh so hard the people on the train thought I was bonkers, it actually made me want to throw up in my mouth a little bit.

“Amazing. You must be dripping cream, baby. All for me.”

and

“Emma’s vaginal muscles contracted ceaselessly around Conrad’s rampaging dick.”

I would be running away so fast if someone's dick was rampaging anywhere around my person.

The editing. So much has been missed. Weird words, missing words, wrong words, sentences that don’t make sense. This needed a beta reader or a better copyeditor.

What really sealed this as a bad read for me was when she said Conrad was

“so freaking sexy she could lick his face.”

LICKING FACES IS NOT OK. I REPEAT. NOT OK.

I do have to give props to the author though, although the sex was not sexy, it was SAFE.

This was free on the store, but the time I put into reading this, I can’t get back.

I will not be reading further installments of this series.

1.5 Stars, it gets an extra half star for the unintentional entertainment factor.

I woke up way too early this morning but not early enough to start the second book in the series I'm reading, so I needed a filler and this looked perfect at only 37 pages.
I've seen books by this author around but this is a first time read for me, now it's my fault for not checking but I was under the impression this was a standalone which it's not, so, so much for my quick read.
Conrad is every woman's dream, you know the drill, handsome, rich, confident etc he's recently broken up with his ex and needs a date for a charity ball so he asks his secretary to organise an escort, his sister takes exception to this and sets him up with a friend of hers, it's best to just go with it and not question too deeply.
While it's a quick read there's absolutely nothing here which would convince me to continue on with the series, it all goes as you'd expect with a....to be continued at the end.

The first two paragraphs of the description contain such errors that I did not want to deal with the book. A writer who can't write a coherent description paragraph is one I'm not interested in reading. Sorry.

Lucia does it again. You are drawn from the very beginning. The attraction just pulls you in and you can feel the emotional attraction consuming you. I could not put it down until I finished the entire story. The scenes are hot and alluring.

Wow, I read a ton of these erotic romantic novels and this one has to be one of my favorite. The story is well told and keeps you wanting to read more. Plus the sex scenes are very detailed, almost like you are watching a movie.

One minus would be that I wish it was longer and wasn't a cliff hanger. I guess it was a smart way to get you to buy the complete series! ;) Great read, I would definitely recommend to other readers.

I found the book very exciting and keep me on edge a bit, but it only took me several hours to read. Lucia Jordan book are just to short and for $3 -$6 each I think I should get more then a couple of hours of reading. This is also the very first book of Lucia Jordan that I have read.
We shall see.

Enjoyed this book! There were a few words in the book that I didn't think were needed in the writing including the c word! I am definitely not a prude, but the writing was good enough not to include them. Looking forward to the next installment as you really feel for the character of Emma like she is your best friend!
