This is an interesting compilation from a variety of sources on angels, fallen or otherwise. Interestingly enough the emphasis is not on the Nephilim which are the ones most people think about then they think of Fallen Angels. The book seems to be thoroughly researched.

I have ordered a couple of the sources so I can get the full scope of what Dr. Johnson was researching.

I really enjoyed reading this book, and becoming familiar with all the information given about all the angels GOD created. Awesome! Is GOD our creator, and Father of our LORD, and savoir JESUS CHRIST! To him alone be all glory, and praise forever more!

This item was picked up due to the various resources that are mentioned.

However, this author actually suggests that the death angels killed people through a "stroke", then used the modern English word "stroke" to suggest the ancient word "stroke" means the same thing.

It also uses Catholic verses when it outlines Biblical references.

This author, in this book takes wild jumps at speculation that should never be done in educational books.

I am familiar with the topics within this book, and this author does not handle these topics well at all.

It's very well written and has enough information from credible sources to tell a story. But I think it's funny that people still think that these beings were so called Angels. It is clear to me that this entire religion is based purely on extra terrestrials.

A carefully referenced summary of the biblical, ancient Hebrew, Canaanite, and other records concerning angels (as per title, principally fallen). If true, and not myth, then it compels a change of perspective about the age old battle between "good and evil"!
History will eventually bring all the truth out - and, in the interim, this book is profoundly sobering.

What a sad day when I discovered that the history we have been taught is almost completely wrong. I often wondered, while being being deluged with the evolution theory, why all of a sudden, 6000 years ago in the Sumerian culture, they found intelligently written documents. Not just historical documents but business transactions and complex architecture. Understanding the truth behind the fallen angels is the key to understanding the truth about who we are, why we are here and where we are going. This book is well written and since I had a knowledge of the subject previously, there were definitely important things that filled in the blanks for me in my research. Well worth the price. Not a book to rush through, but to study.

This area is becoming more and more researched by the day, and this book is excellent. I see this knowledge coming to light even though I'm positive the dark doesn't want it to. After all, the devil does his best work when no one even believes he exists, right? If you never watched The Devil's Advocate, you should see that movie. It demonstrates perfectly how the devil works. Anyway, this book is a great resource, kudos to the author. Read the book and pray about what God wants you to get from it. In that vein, I just bought Lin Tomasso's book Prayer Warrior: How to Get Your Prayers Answered. I downloaded it to my laptop (you can download it to your computer or any other device) for $2.99 at smashwords.com. Invaluable instruction given on how to make our prayers work to our advantage. If your prayer life has been dry, get Tomasso's book and get back on track, the author is funny, down to earth, and very on point. Kudos to both these authors. Immense help from both books.

I learned a lot about angels. I instantly got interested in the Book of Enoch. But this book was almost too short. Must admit that I spent a lot of time in GOD's word with this book. Really appreciate all the scripture that was given. Books like this make me feel sort of uneasy because most of the information was not taken from the Bible. But I can understand now why the Book of Enoch was not included in the Bible. I really take by faith that the Bible is complete. The teaching of the Gospel is more important .

I chose this rating to remain as neutral as possible, because some of the information is accurate.

Now I thought I should pass this along for the benefit of all readers and potential readers. Lucifer, in Isa. 14:12, is not Satan. It is only tradition that Isa. 14:12 pertains to Satan. By reading any modern translation they all render Isa14:12's "Lucifer" as "Day star" or "Morning Star" and this is not a modern only rendering. Lucifer or Morning Star has been believed to be a King of Babylon.

"Lucifer has become a by-word for Satan in the Church and in popular literature" as in Dante Alighieri's Inferno and John Milton's Paradise Lost. Dante's and Milton's respective works count as Christian literature and not scripture, these works were already carrying on of, a then lesser literate tradition (Enoch1), of belief that isa14 pertained to Satan. Their are many names and descriptions given to Satan in the Bible, Lucifer is not one of them. You can find this much on Wikipedia.

"You who thought yourself most glorious and as it were placed in the heaven for the morning star that goes before the sun, is called Lucifer, to whom Nebuchadnezzar is compared." (1560 Geneva Bible commentary, respelled)

You'll notice that "the morning star that goes before the sun, is called Lucifer, to whom Nebuchadnezzar is compared" proves that the belief that Isa14:12 was referring to a Babylonian King, existed before modern English translations. Current modern exegesis believes that it could have been referring to Nebuchadnezzar II. "O day star" is also read in the 1611 KJV marginal note for Isa14:12 as an alternate translation. If you haven't noticed this book quotes almost exclusively from the KJV. Now in all fairness the Geneva also reads Lucifer in Isa14:12, but remember the marginal note from the 1560 Geneva Bible commentary attributing Lucifer to the planet Venus, that's Day Star and today's modern name.

What does this mean for this book? Well, after my reading I'll say the section on "Lucifer" is not accurate and it represents poor scholarship on the part of the author/compiler. But I can't blame him entirely as he does except extra-Biblical accounts as accurate representations of the Biblical accounts.

The book has interesting ideas, but I felt that most of it was speculation. I would have preferred more documentation from sources to substantiate claims. It is not a book I will reference in further study.

This gives many references to books that were quoted in the Bible but never made it. It has a really good glossary on Angels and Demons. It gives added information for Christians who are interested in angels and the preflood world.

When I try to visualize what a fallen angel might look like, the Renaissance painter's versions don't fit my imagination. I picture something much larger and more horrible than Giger's aliens from the ALIEN motion picture series. Terrifying !
