This book deserves TEN stars. I love Penelope Ward's books. She always brings the laughter and tears out of me. This book is funny and touches the heart over and over again. If you have never read any Penelope Ward books, try this one. I'm confident you will want to read more. I've read many of her books and have loved them all. I am a hard core erotic romance book reader based on gritty Motorcycle Clubs, but I always take a break from them when Ms. Ward puts out another of her sweet, funny and touching books.

So very slow listening to Landon and Rana become reconnected but so worth the time. For the most part romance novels should be fun, flirty and fluff but every now and then you need to remember that love is not fast and furious with a Happily Ever After. To actually sustain a long term relationship it must have a solid foundation and Penelope Ward has given us a book worth our time and effort and even a reminder that Happily Ever After 's are obtained through hard work with steamy sex to keep you young at heart. I think this may be one of my favorites. Happy Reading!

Landon and Rana knew each other when they were teenagers. Rana suddenly moved always thinking that Landon’s parents evicted them. One night drunk Rana decides to look him up and proceeds to tell him off. This was the beginning of their continuation of their friendship. Landon lived in California and Rana in Michigan and she had her reasons why she couldn’t move even though she loved Landon. Lots of deep revelations between the two of them but I loved how they resolved their issues.

I started and finished this book today. I could not put it down. Drunk Dial was such an amazing love story, my heart exploded and then was glued back together multiple times through this story. Rana and Landon's love story along with each characters individual stories had me glued to the book. My heart physically ached at times in both happiness and sadness. Penelope Ward is a marvelous writer who will now be one of my one-click authors. I'm a humongous hopeless romantic and this story had me hooked from the first chapter. I highly recommend this book to my romance lovers. This is one of my absolute favorite books I have read and trust me... I've devoured a few hundred

Penelope SLAYED with this book. I mean, wow, what an emotional rollercoaster! Such a beautiful story. Not much I can say without giving away all the twists and turns in this book, but definitely a must-read!

I like Penelope Ward with Vi, their stories are great. But this one didn't catch my eye. It felt too insta-love than anything else. I would have love to see them fall in love. I don't think anyone falls in love this quickly. Landon was such an great guy that I did feel that Rana judged him when she made the same mistakes as him. Their past were parallel to each other. I was hoping for an fall out between the two to test their relationship but it was happy after Landon found out about her secret, it will not surprise you. This wasn't my cup of tea but Landon saved it for me.

Not my favorite book by this author, It was missing something. There was a nice little story line but nothing really happened that kept me enthralled. It was an okay read but I had higher expectations.

This book had absolutely everything you would want in a book. A love that is undeniable, gut wrenching secrets, humor that will make you pee your pants, and a twist I never saw coming. I can't express how much I loved Landon and Rana. This is another masterpiece by Penelope Ward!

I love all of Penelope Wards books! She's amazing and Drunk Dial is right up there. While not as heavy as some of her other books there still held all the things I love about her style! Rana was a flawed and guarded lead but grew and changed so much through the course of the story, I couldn't help but love her. I absolutely adore Landon!! He is a wonderful man with a colorful past that made him stronger, and made his love for Rana even better. I highly recommend this book!

Wow, delightfully surprised at this, and yes, I also have a new book boyfriend? I really appreciated the honesty of the characters. No sorry ol' miscommunication trope. They were so real and vulnerable. Another reviewer commented there were no twists or turns but I liked that. Just a charming story of 2 friends meeting up again later in life, and the very endearing trip it takes for them to figure everything out. Good, fun read. You'll love it! (And Landon!)

When I originally started this book I was worried it was going to be another cliche story with some phone sex.
Don't get me wrong there was a little bit of that bit in a good way. The characters were all so defined and well liked from there past to there present you could only root for them. Just like any true love story there was angst, passion, issues they had to face that were real life issues not overly dramatized. This book was an amazing read and I haven't laughed so much reading a book in a long time.
Thank you.

"I’m supposed to just forget this phone call ever happened?”
“Sure. Just like you forgot I ever existed.”
This pulled me out of a hard core book funk, and sucked me into it. I've never read Penelope Ward before, but I will be looking for more of her books. Every book has secrets, but I didn't expect these... Wow. The character interaction was great, and made the pages fly by. I definitely recommend this book, great job Penelope Ward.

I loved the premise...I loved Landon and Rana...and I loved their story... I normally like dual POV, and this was only in Rama’s POV, but Landon was so open and honest with her, and his POV was used in the Epilogue...I fell in love with these characters.....They were funny, sexy and so in love...and childhood friends who reconnected with a DRUNK DIAL...❤️??

Fun Funny and Amazing read from Penelope Ward, can't resist her work ever. Rana is enjoying some wine when she decides to drunk dial her old friend Landon, all she knows is he is living in California. She thinks he must be living it up because his family is so rich. They have some pretty epic late night phone calls until something happens and she flies out to CA to see him. Absolutely one of her best works, definitely a must read.

Super cute friends to lovers romance. Landon and Rana reconnect in an unconventional way but once they do the sparks fly. The chemistry between these two was hot. There were some steamy moments and some really sweet ones ( the virtual date was everything) Another good book from an amazing author.

I was forcing myself to continue to read it. Slow, predictable, immature, forced situations and conversation, no chemistry. I read a lot and for a long time I didn't encounter something that has such ambition and seems to be written with no visible enthusiasm. I didn't finish it.

I love Penelope Ward's books they keep you guessing what is going to happen next. Rana drinks too much one night and decides to call up the childhood boy that she grew up with before she moved away. Landon wondered whatever happen to the girl that lived in the apartment in his parents garge. Rana thinks that Landon life is perfect because her life was not. Rana and Landon start talking every night bu

Rana doesn't realize what she's getting herself into... with a sordid painful past, and the one boy she thought didn't care, she realizes something different is on its way... Landon also has a dark past, he leaves his parents after they tell him ( to him it was devastating) news, then something or someone calls one night... loved, loved, loved this book.. I couldn't get enough of Landon and Rana.... happy reading :)

Great story line. Wonderful characters. Rana was a little awkward to me. She was shy but outgoing in some ways. Like her choice of a job. Landon was funny and supportive. They meshed well together. And I love Liliths spunk. Another 5 star read from Penelope.

I must start off saying that when I started reading this story i wondered if I would like it. But it soon had be hooked. It turns out to be one I will save and read again. So full of emotions and learning from past mistakes plus some laugh outlined moments. One of best books this year for me. But it is Penelope Ward so what was I thinking. I always read her stories without question. Awesome author.

While I have enjoyed Penelope Ward's other titles, I found this one to be rather "meh". The two main characters are obviously flawed in their own ways, but the build up to these flaws was too much for what I considered to be minor issues. I actually thought "who cares?" when Rana revealed the first thing she was hiding. Additionally, Landon's secret was barely touched on, and again, "who cares?"

My rating of 3.5 stars is based on the potential this book could have had. If the secrets or problems were more developed or had more consequences I would have been more intrigued. Finally, I felt that the blurb was a little misleading. It sets you up for this huge climax...which never really comes.

I'll continue to purchase and read Ward's books, but Drunk Dial is not one that I wouldn't really recommend unless it was free.

What a great story, from beginning to end. I enjoyed reading this book because of the characters, and the laugh out loud moments I experienced while reading it. This is truly an original with an ending that leaves you feeling like the writer did her job. This is the first time in a while that I have read a book and not thought it needed more. It was perfect. It is a must read!

Loved Loved this book. Hard to put down. Loved the fact that it wasn't like any of the other "sexy erotic" books. The story characters had different issues and ones that I didn't see coming unlike the other books I've read where I figured out what was going to happen before I read it.
Great easy read well written book. Kudos to Penelope Ward. I'd love to read more about Landon and Rana, a sequel perhaps. They were so real and genuine I thought.

Another great book by Penelope Ward. Landon and Rana's story of childhood love come to fruition was nothing short of amazing. I loved all the little notes Landon wrote to Rana growing up. So true for a boy his age to ask the questions he asked of the girl...lol Then you have Lilith....wow such a sweet inspiration! Can't say enough about this book, one of my favorites!

Drunk Dial was a sweet, sexy, heartwarming book. Landon & Rana, friends from when they were younger, reconnected after many years apart. They each had their own flaws & painful pasts. Despite this, they manage to open their hearts to each other in order to find true love and happiness. This book has all the feels you look for in a romance along with a twist you never see coming! Drunk Dial was another 5 star read by the very talented Penelope Ward.

To me, this book is about finding acceptance to both sides of adoption and abandonment. There are so many side to it. I think the author does a wonderful job of it with the characters she has built in this book. I wanted this book to go on forever. ?

Rana & Landon haven't seen each other in years. One night she drunk dials him and they continue the connection they had long ago. This story is funny, heart wrenching and made me swoon at times. It's perfect in every way. It's growing up and accepting the mistakes you've made and learning from them. Every girl should have a Landon in her life!

Penelope has done it again. The story of Rana and Landon was an emotional one, it also had its fun moments. Landon was just amazing, he was sweet, sexy, and very lovable. Rana was sweet, independent, and also very lovable. I loved them together, I loved how they helped one another. This was an amazing story and I highly recommend it.

Rana and Landon are the most imperfect perfect couple I have read about in a very long time. I loved this story; not a false note throughout. It takes a lot for a book to move me to tears but this book did...several times. I declare this book my best read this year and Landon is now officially my favorite book boyfriend of all time.

Expect the unexpected in Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward.  It's not the usual second chance romance or a friends to lovers romance. It's a story of self redemption and forgiveness that finds itself in the middle of a love story.

Rana Banana Saloomi has a moment of drunken inspiration or should I say insanity and drunk dials a childhood friend who meant the world to her when her world was anything from perfect.  She hung onto those wonderful childhood moments, as well as all the hurt that came along with it.  She's harbored some resentments and misconceptions of the truth and in a drunken moment she decides to confront her past.  What started as a drunken conversation with her childhood friend, Landon Roderick, quickly escalates into a meaningful long distance friendship/ possible romance.  Those late night conversations and little confessions are something all together different when they finally meet face to face after thirteen years.

Growing up has been a painful experience for them both in very different ways.  Both are carrying scars and harboring secrets that could crush their budding adult relationship.  They are both holding back because they are fearful of facing the realities of their past lives. They are fearful of losing each other.  The one thing neither of them realized is the friendship they formed as kids was strong enough to withstand them as adults.  After all they are still the same people ... just a little altered and scarred from life.

I won't say more because of spoilers but I will say Penelope Ward once again delivered an unforgettable romance that touches the heart in so many ways.  Drunk Dial is more than a phone call that went out of control, it's Rana and Landon's chance to become complete and comfortable with the life they are living now.

I absolutely loved this book!

What will Penelope Ward think of next? She's reliably and consistently keeps her novels unique by creating never-read-before storylines. Have you ever wondered about the long-lost friend from middle school? Maybe after indulging in too much vino? Well, Rana Saloomi is ready to tell her story.

Drunk Dial is a sweet and charming second-chance romance but there is a lot hidden beneath the surface. In true Penelope fashion, a lot of unexpected twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. I started this book in the morning and finished it later that night because there was no putting it down. I needed to know how Rana and Landon's beautiful journey would end.

Rana is a very complex character. She's riddled with insecurities and self-doubt yet puts herself on display in many ways. Watching her evolve throughout the vivid scenes was fantastic. Rana is the type of heroine I enjoy discovering because she's very relatable and realistic. She's kind and warm, even though she's guarded and wary. I'm a big fan of liquid courage and would cheers this lady any day!

Landon is finger-licking delicious. From his tattoos to his piercings to his alpha tendencies, I couldn't get enough of this sexy man. There is so much more to him than physical presence though. Landon is tender and passionate, especially when it comes to Rana. To be the center of his focus would be a spectacular spot to be and it was very exciting to watch them grow back together.

From start to finish, Drunk Dial had me hooked. I love this author's flawless style and her latest novel definitely has the signature stamp I swoon over. The plot is rich and the storyline is captivating. I'm sure Landon and Rana will quickly find their way into your romantic heart!

Whilst the concept and storyline of this one was very enjoyable and a little different I felt the conversation between the characters, or the way it was written a little stilted for their relationship.

This book surprised me! By looking at the title I assumed this would be a playful funny story. While there is a lot of fun in this story, it is more then that. It's a beautiful love story between 2 people who met as kids, had their own paths to follow and came back together as adults. It's a "meant to be" story. Loved it!

I loved Drunk Dial?? The story line was so well written and the relationship between Logan and Rana was sweet, sexy, and hot!! They both had troubled pasts but when each revealed their story to the other they handled it like adults! I cried when Logan gave up his life in California to be with Rana??

I never imagined everything that was going to happen after Rana drunk dials Landon. This book is wonderfully written with uniqueness that's hard to find these days. Even the jobs Rana and Landon have are unusual. There's sadness, humor, sexiness and even a little stalker thrown in for good measure.

As usual, the author does a great job of intertwining little details here and there that eventually culminate into the twists that bring the whole tale together. ...Would have liked a happier ending, but still glad I read it. Still a 5 star story.

It was well written with a unique storyline. I loved that the hero and heroine love was built on friendship and mutual trust. They spent time talking and getting to know each other as adults. They were real life with flaws and both had made mistakes. Fantastic book and highly recommend.
