Once Bitten (Alexa O'Brien Huntress Series Book 1)

While I liked the storyline, I found the writing sometimes difficult to get through. It seemed at times that the author was trying too hard to add a sharp edge to her writing; the dialogue often appeared forced and a bit cliched By the end, I had little empathy for the characters.

This book was a great read. I enjoyed it immensely. The characters were very well developed. The plot was good, with some major twists at the end. Towards the beginning of the book, I was thinking it seemed reminiscent to the early Anita Blake series by Laurel Hamilton... but .... that thought went by the wayside the further I got into the book. I look forward to reading more about Alexa O'Brien.

I really enjoyed reading Once Bitten. It was exciting, fast-paced, something was always happening and there was never a dull moment. Alexa has strong feelings for another wolf named Shaz, he's sweet and cares for her and has never let her down. But then there's something draws her to the dark, mysterious vampire, Arys. More problems comes her way when the leader of her wolf pack and the man who once saved her life is accused of murder. He has a secret and the muders keeping coming that make him look even more guilty. Although, the book was always exciting and interesting, the ending was the best part. So much happens and all the secrets come out with all the punchs and swings. A great book it was and I can't wait to continue the story!

This book was very interesting and held my attention. The story line, though featuring some cliche aspects, was more unique than the recent output of vampire/werewolf stories. The story had a lot of twists and turns, it was certainly a thriller/suspense.

This book was definitely not what I expected. But that wasn't a bad thing. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to find as much action as romance. It was amazing! Props to Trina M. Lee. Alexa O'Brien is a kick-butt hunter. Fierce and just happens to love all the wrong people. It has thrilling twists and unexpected surprises and I have to say I was hooked and on the edge of my seat from page one. I read the whole thing in a day and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! It's more than just your average paranormal romance.

So much better than I expected. Can hardly wait for the next one. If you like Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series then this is a must read. Just different enough to be interesting. Looking forward to watching the characters develop.

Pretty good for a werewolf/vampire book. It had an interesting love triangle that is reminiscent of that of the one in twilight. Alex can't seem to chose between the comfortable boy next door Shad or the dark intense connection to Ayer's.

Trina is a talented writer. The story was interesting, catching my attention right away while leaving enough to be excited about other novels in the series. I did find it a bit slow in a few places leaving me wanting the action to get back in gear but otherwise I really liked it. Great Job!

An engaging read. I am really intrigued as to ultimate outcome, 1.) she is physically contacted to the vampire, but 2.) in love with the werewolf. W

I truly enjoyed this book. I wasn't expecting much since I downloaded it for free, but it was one of the best free books I've read. There are a few grammar issues, but not enough to distract from the story. I just hate that the next books in the series cost so much.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I had the hardest time putting it down. The story line was very interesting and keep me on my toes wanting to know what would happen next. I can't wait to read the next book.
