I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was made more interesting with tidbits of local history. I've lived in the Savannah area for 20 years but still learned a lot from reading Mr. Keeler's novel. Can't wait to read more....

This was a fun read, with some nice character development. Doug gives Fontaine a razor-wit, and arms him well with biting, clever and twisted retorts and "what he's really thinking" thoughts. He had me laughing out loud every several pages. I'll be keeping an eye out for Ray's next case.

An action packed ride (in a classic GTO) through Savannah! Loved the Sam Spade vibe from Ray Fontaine as much as the local history woven into Keeler's book. This is a great summer read! I'm looking forward to further adventures with Ray Fontaine.

Where was the editor? SO many grammatical errors interfered with the fluency of the reading. The rule is (should be): if you have to stop because of the distraction, it's gotta be fixed.
Having said that, I enjoyed Keeler's narrative, and I liked Fontaine and all the characters. Hopefully his next book will have a better editor.

This was a fun look at Savannah and the surrounding area wrapped in a light weight mystery. The "investigator" is totally smart ass, charming and funny. He is also spot on with the currant political and social scene. Totally enjoyable fast read.

I loved hearing about local spots in Savannah and a little history behind the city. The characters were well developed and the story flowed very well. It kept my interest throughout. I would highly recommend this book to other readers.

The story line was good. I enjoyed the references to Savannah since I live there. The ending was a little predictable for me and when it happened it happened too quick without enough lead up or drama.

Savannah Gone is a must-read for anyone with even a nodding acquaintance with Savannah. The local references are great fun. Ray Fontaine is a character you root for as soon as you meet him. Hope there are lots more Ray Fontaine mysteries to come

I liked this book.
Keeler tells a complete story in under 200 pages of tight writing.
He includes lots of history, but only enough to add to the story, not bore the reader to death.
Fontaine has just enough sass and wit to be amusing with being annoying or sounding childish.

If you like Nelson DeMille you will love this author and his
character Ray Fontaine. I have long wanted to visit Savannah,
so I appreciated the history of the State. Look forward to read
more this author.

This was an light, enjoyable read. Not deep but well written and funny with the protagonist's wisecracks. If the author writes another with more depth of character and less wisecracking, it would make me like his books more

Awesome book!! The author not only keeps the pages turning in the mystery, but also captures the history of Coastal GA and South Carolina. I grew up in the Coastal area and it's like walking side by side with Ray Fontaine to solve the mystery in my home town area! I can't wait for the 2nd book to come out!! I highly recommend this book!

Fun read, very entertaining story which happens to be about my favorite city. The main character is interesting, and would love to see more books about him. Noticed the proofreading errors, need to get those fixed, otherwise, a good first novel from Doug Keeler!

Great story line, and easy too follow. If your looking for a good read you won't be disappointed in choosing this book. The errors won't cripple your understanding of the book either, and while they can be a nuisance I still recommend reading the book. Enjoy!

The writimg and story are quite compelling. But, I would have enjoyed it much more if words weren't dropped and other words duplicated. An editor or just a proofreader doing an excellent job would have made my reading experience much better.

Having grown up in Savannah, I enjoyed reading about the locale. I thought the characters were entertaining and fairly well defined, but that the finale was a bit rushed as if the author ran out of story line or felt a need to bring closure to the book. It seemed a bit abrupt at the end. I would enjoy reading future stories about Ray and Savannah.
