I agree with some of the other reviews that something was indeed missing from Travis' story. From the other books in this series, there's a sense that Travis is different and hiding things. I guess I was looking for an explosive revelation of his proclivities. Honestly, his interest in men didn't surprise me but him being a bit of a masochist did. However, it fell flat for me because there was no background showing how Travis met and related to Ashley and Cassidy. It just seems like they were there, then gone and then reappeared in his life and he was accepting of that. The culmination of the relationship between the three of them did seem to be based on sex and kink. Plus, I felt at times the story was told more from Ashley's POV than Travis. Overall, not a bad read but disappointing nonetheless.

Ashley, Travis and Cassidy. A ménage is fraught with challenges great and small and this one is no different. Ms. Arend has beautifully written their story to showcase the importance of communication, trust, and compromise. This story is about much more than ménage. At the heart of it is the meaning of family and the destructive forces of ignorance and discrimination. The journey before these three is still mired with challenges but they have family-by-birth and family-by-choice to support them. We have to believe they will have a happy ending.

I love this series but something was missing from this book. Maybe I waited to long for Travis story but I kept thinking something was missing. I think the author didn't want anyone to get lost in the sex and not embrace the love story. But it somehow miss the mark. I will definitely read the next book but I now have lower expectations.

This was a story of acceptance. Being true to yourself. Loving without restraint. Fighting for what you believe in accepting love as it comes. Made me laugh, made me cheer, made me tear up too. I love the Coleman's and those they bring into their family!

Travis Coleman has made some mistakes in his life. The biggest were letting go of the two people he loves the most. He wasn’t ready to lay everything on the line before but after months of being on his own he will do whatever it takes to win back the people he loves.

Ashley Sims comes back to town to improve her craft and figure out her feelings for the dangerous Travis. She would give anything to soothe his pain if only she knew how. When Travis and Ashley run into Cassidy Jones and learn they will be working together for a few months they make a deal; a couple of months with no-strings fun. Will they be able to let go of each other when their time together is over?

Rocky Mountain Freedom is wrought with emotion and sizzle. Travis and Cassidy’s relationship is chilling and sensational. Ashley brings plenty of heart and calm to their relationship. Travis, Wyatt and Ashley’s relationship tests the boundaries of everyone in their lives. I love the way Ms. Arend chose to deal with their situation. It was a much more realistic spin then most ménage stories. The title works so well with their story. It is largely about gaining the freedom to love who you want, where you want.

What a disappointment. I really enjoyed this series until this book. I knew going into it, there was homosexual scenes but, I never imagined the whole book being about a cowboy love affair? I'm all for freedom of choice, but I really don't care to read about it, it was a real turn OFF for me. I was very dissapointed in this story line. I really hope the next book in the series takes a different direction. But, then again, everyone is different, and that's what makes the world go round.

Title: Rocky Mountain Freedom

Series: Six Pack Ranch bk 6

Author: Vivian Arend

Genre: Contemporary, Erotic

Three hurting hearts. Too many secrets. One chance to conquer their fears.

Over the past year, Travis Coleman lost the two people he allowed closest to his heart. Both gave him ultimatums—then left. Hell if he needs that kind of pain again. Time to move forward without the friends he thought might save him from his dangerous cravings.

When Ashley Sims returns to Rocky Mountain House, her rambling lifestyle isn’t all she’s hoping to change. Travis snagged a piece of her, and while getting tangled in his issues again might be crazy, she hasn’t given up on him.

Nine months ago, Cassidy Jones walked away to stop his best friend from making a huge mistake. Temptation lingers, though, and when Travis shows up on his turf accompanied by a sensually uninhibited woman, the combination tosses fuel on the banked fire.
Passion flares among the three of them, as hot as the summer days. But are they willing to push the limits, and fight for love?

Warning: Dirty fighting, dirty talk, dirtier sex—secrets are coming out. Get ready for ménage a trois and cowboy-on-cowboy action, with ropes and crops and the kind of relentless love strong enough to set a man free.

Thoughts: When it comes to hot cowboys and fanning yourself scenes Vivian Arend is the master. This series has been one of my favorites ever since I read the first book Rocky Mountain Heat. While I've enjoyed every book in this series there has been one I've wanted more than the others...well two now.

Travis has intrigued me from the beginning of this series. There has just been something about him that screamed there is more to him than we knew. If you paid attention, and I did, the clues were there to a portion of what was going on with Travis.

Ashley was the perfect female for Travis in that she was fluid enough to give him what he needed, but also strong enough to demand what she needed from him. She's also carrying her own baggage, and issues. But she knows what she wants and isn't going to settle for less than everything.

Cassidy, his issues have issues. But when he's faced with what he wants most he runs. Until Travis shows up at his new job and he's put in a position where he has to make a choice to finally be happy and take what he wants of continue to let his past control his future.

When the truth comes out about Travis, both Cassidy AND Ashley have to work together to give him what he needs. The truth about him may shock some, but if you've been paying attention it won't.

I loved every single page in this book. In fact unless Jesse's book is out of this world this will be my favorite book in the series. When Travis, Ashley and Cassidy finally come together and decide what they have is worth fighting for the relationship takes a new dimension. What I really loved however was Travis's family's reaction to his relationships with Ashley and Cassidy.

What I love about Vivian's books is she isn't afraid to push the envelope, and to have character's with issues that aren't the norm, and yet for these characters they are.

If you've never read one of her books you should correct this immediately. Her characters are compelling with depths that will at times shock you and at other's make you sigh.

Good filthy fun. Not really my thing (kinky cowboy menage), but if it was your thing, it would do your thing exceptionally well.

This book was very well written and showed truly bi characters. Too bad I came into this world in book 6!

Wow, this book really disappointed me. I guess it was not my cup of tea. The explicitness of the sexcapades was even a bit much for me. I do not care for the mental pictures it drew. I really tried to like this book and the first time I stopped at 50%. I decided to go back and give it another try but it seemed to be all about the menage and cowboy on cowboy with a real lack of storyline.

I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend this book.

I always thought there was more to Travis' character. The fact that he was so hidden in himself says more than anything. How the story was written just wanted you to keep reading. The three main charaters in the story were so messed up and the way that Ms. Arends brought them together was wonderful.

OMG I love this series. I love the Coleman Family every last one of them. I'm so happy that Travis has found his soul mates Ashley and Cassidy. Travis has found his home and his peace. No more fighting and hurting.

Now the town people better get behind this couple before Marion (mama bear) starts kicking butt. Now I hope the next book is for Jesse. He needs to find his soul mate who kicks him in the butt. I can't wait for the next book no matter which Coleman finds love.

Vivian Arend is an amazing writer.

Wow! This was an uncomfortable yet exciting story for me to read. Took me a little longer than the first books of this series. I kind of figured out Travis' secret at the end of the last book but I wasn't sure it would work out for the three. I am happy that they all have Travis' family behind them & they get their happily ever after. Good job Vivian! I would recommend this book.

Another great book where Travis Coleman of the six Pack ranch finds the freedom to ask for what he needs from the woman and man that he loves and the courage to say "this is the way I am, take it or leave it" I loved catching up with the rest of the six pack family and a few of the extended Coleman cousins. I can't wait to read the next book, but I'm waiting for Jessie's book!

This story about 3 people with very different background coming together is very well written.

Ashley is a free spirit, Cassidy is hiding from himself and Travis is trying to not hurt other people in his life.

All the challenges these 3 meet on their journey is huge and still they manages to come through it together.

I like that the story is realistic in some ways, for me it makes me enjoy it even more. The storyline is good and the characters are well described so I feel like I know them.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues......perfect!

If you want to read only one ménage story I recommend this at the moment. It has hotness, love ❤️ challenges and HEA.

If I could give more stars ✨ I would.
This is the second time I read this book and I liked it even better now.
