Heroes of Dixie Wardens MC Series - Book 5 - Life to My Flight

Another solid story by Lani , I honestly haven't read a book by her that I didn't love. Again yes these guys are in an MC but that is just a small piece of them. The titles are all perfect in a sense that they are about their jobs and these jobs play a big part in all the stories , the womens and the mens. I would say Cleo's job and background were the most interesting to me , the thrill of the helicopter , the urgency of being called to rescue , the fear of what they would see , all that and more on top of having served our country. Cleo is the man !! I loved the story behind his name , well his nickname !! Rue works as an ER nurse and a SANE nurse , once again not a simple 9-5. There jobs are exhausting both mentally and physically. I loved getting to know them through their work it gives a different type of connection and tells an interesting story.

Rue and Cleo go way back , an odd meeting at the cemetery grew into a friendship neither could do without. Throwing caution to the wind Rue decided to put her real feelings out there and beg Cleo to take her. Of course this night is fabulous but the morning after is nothing that Rue expected. After a year apart Rue and Cleo are about to collide once again. Will Cleo be able to work his way back into Rue's life or has she found a new BFF to take Cleo's place ?

This story has excitement , danger , violence , heartache , real life issues , hot sex and wow Cleo and sex caused me to lose my train of thought !! I enjoyed having some of my faves from the other books around , seeing what they are up to and also getting to know some new characters that may have a story to tell. Rue's line of work has lead trouble right to her door but Cleo is determined to keep her safe and claim her as his. This road may have some hurdles but it is filled with beauty and a love that is strong. Love Rue and Cleo together and loved reading about their future and how everything came together.

I absolutely love this series! Lani Lynn Vale is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I have not read a book of hers that I have not liked. Her characters are addictive. I love that they all make appearances in each others stories. Her story lines are all incredible, and they are each so different. I love that they are not the same stories over again with different main characters. I hope that there are many more to come in this series.

Cleo and Rue have an amazing story. Their chemistry is wonderful and I was hooked from the start. In the beginning, I wanted to scream at Cleo for leaving and never contacting Rue for a year. I also wanted to rip him a new one for being oblivious to the way his sisters treated Rue. I wanted to yell at Rue and tell her that she better make Cleo work for her when he came back. There were parts that made me laugh, and parts that made me cry. Their love story was a beautiful read.

This is a series that I know I will read often!

I really love the way that Lani writes this series. Not only how well her writing style flows but how the MC aspect is almost a backseat to the hero's main job. It's there but not the forefront of the story. It's there and a part of every story, but it's almost like its a supporting storyline to everything else.

I loved the pull between our two characters and their bond. I love how they had history to overcome before they could have a future. My only wish is that we could have had more of a why with the sisters. Maybe more of a resolution or confrontation, more of a stance, more of him putting his foot down. But I love that we get more info on Silas too, little by little I'm loving the info that unfolds. I think what I love the most is the brotherhood with the boys. How they protect each other, how they do so much together and include the women in the fold so well. It's not without hesitAtion or reluctance, but once they prove themselves they're part of the family.

My heart leaped and jumped and broke in this story. Lanis writing style is smooth and she is sure to deliver a book you can't put down.

Wow I am loving this series. Lani Lynn Vale's books are different from each book. Love how the stories and the how all the characters from previous books show up in this series. Love the The Heroes of The DIxie Wardens MC how all the males are all sexy alpha bad boys. But also have a heart to serve their second jobs as well.

Life To My Flight tells the story of Rue and Cleo. Cleo is part of the Pararescueman for the U.S. Air Force and Rue is a R.N. nurse. Rue tries to stay away from Cleo after a year ago. But in the end their chemistry is strong. These two characters were great together there was some humor going on during the book which I liked and enjoyed.

Each book grabs you on the first page and won't let go. I highly recommend this series especially if you like bikers and the women who fall in love with them. Lani Lynn Vale's books are amazing and the stories are also enjoyable. Love The Heroes of Dixie Warden MC!!

I loved this book! The characters were real and their emotions were raw and real.
Cleo doesn’t know what to do with a relationship. He doesn’t want Rue to be another statistic if they really made a go at it.

All Rue wanted was to be Cleo’s girl, but that quickly got blown to dust when she opened herself up to him and he walks away.

Now a year later Cleo is back and he wants what’s his.

This was an awesome read. I could not put it down until I was done with it. The storyline was amazing. I was actually shocked at who the bad guy was. Even though Cleo left, it felt to me that he and Rue picked up right were they left off and that’s not a bad thing in my book. Because they flowed together and he was a PJ and in a MC come one now!

Through out all the bad things that were happening to Rue, Cleo stuck by her side.

I seriously need to get the first 4 books.

Cleo and Rue. They met in the least expected place. They both have feeling for each other, but Cleo, he's surrounded by people who can't keep their commitment with their loved ones. So he doesn't believe his and Rue's love will survive either. A while later, and he's back in her life. At first I was like "you better make him work for it" and then i was rooting for him all the way. Their love is so beautiful. They're chemistry is amazing. I just love how this MC club works together. Lani Lynn Vale amazes me at every book. She has the story line spot on. And I seriously love how she doesn't leave you hanging so long for her next book. This is a must read!!!

This fifth book in this MC series is about Cleo and Rue. This is another MC romance where the focus is not really the MC life and all it's complications. It's more focused on the love story between the main characters. This book is about getting a second chance after you've hurt the one you love.

I kind of feel that Rue was too much the martyr. I mean, a year of not hearing anything from Cleo after the slept together and after he ran away, not even having the decency of saying goodbye? Man, I won't be crying over the man. I will be rolling over in mad anger. And when I see him again, I will be clawing his eyes out. Okay, clearly, I am not the fictional heroine, but I'm just saying, you know.

To be fair, Cleo did work hard at earning Rue's trust again. I just kind of feel like he completely took her for granted then, and he took all her hurts for granted by simply coming back and resuming things from where they left off. I couldn't like him that much.

However, I did like the other characters in the book, especially the ones who've already had their own books in the previous installments. I especially like Loki and Sebastian, although the former had more exposure in this book. I am looking forward to Torren and Tru's story. I can only imagine the evil that Molly will unleash, but well, that's just how drama is in fiction.

This is a good book that entertains from first page to last. It's good if you've read the previous books because you get insights to the secondary characters and get to know them better, where they come from. However, this book can also be read as a standalone, and it will still be as satisfying.

Another great book in the Dixie Wardens MC series!! Cleo & Rue were such great characters! They complimented each other and also made each other better. Cleo's job is hard on him and when he is with Rue it seems like he is at peace. She settles him, she is his light. Rue is a strong, independent, caring, loving & feisty character. The relationship between Cleo & Rue was hot and sometimes hard, but what relationship ever worth having is simple? This was such a great read and I was sucked in from the beginning. I cannot wait for the next book in the series! Amazing job Lani Lynn Vale!

Loved this so much. These 2 really worked and both were so loyal. I'm nervous about the next one..I can't deal if the hero has a GF when he starts hanging with the heroine. Lani has stayed a safe author.. hope she still does

I absolutely love this series! From the very first book these characters have captured my attention and heart. I love how each couple has their own struggles and their own way of resolving things but know (and eventually come to know) they have the support and help of their friends and family. What I absolutely don't like is that someone (usually a secondary character) always dies. It's this readers opinion that you could have the same emotional draw from readers without killing off a character that we've come to like/love over the course of the book.

For this book in particular, I love how Cleo knows (and admits) that leaving Rue was wrong (even if his heart was in the right place when he made that decision). I like how he slowly works his way back into her life and as with the other Dixie Warden males, he refuses to take no for an answer.

While Rue has the strength to forgive him, I don't find her as appealing a character as some of the other females in the series. She seems to lack that fire that comes out in Viddy, Bailey, Adeline and even Audrey. I just don't see it much in her. I do love her compassion and caring personality though.

Lain Lynn Vale rocks! I love this series. I enjoy reading the MC Romances but this series goes above all the rest. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. And there is a spin off to this series that has some of the characters from the Dixie Warden MC in it. It is also written by Lani. They are both must reads.
