Dirty Mother is the fifth book in the Uncertain Saints MC series, and I am loving each one of these books! After reading the first four books and getting a taste of Ridley, I knew I wanted more of him and wow do you get a story with him and Freya!

Poor Ridley has been coasting through life since his wife was killed a few years ago. He never allows himself to get near a woman to even want a relationship because he just can’t let his wife go. My heart just broke for him so many times. He seemed so lost and lonely even though he has his friends and family. Nothing can replace the love in his heart, until Freya.

Ridley has felt guilt over losing one of his MC brothers who was driving his sister to the doctor. Freya has lost her brother and is devastated beyond belief. This poor woman will pull at your heartstrings and so many times, I just wanted to hug her. Just when Freya and Ridley start talking to each other, his role as a cop has thrust him into a case that is life changing for everyone.

While he’s undercover and Freya has no idea where he is, she is feeling so lonesome one night that she calls her brother’s phone and guess who answers? Ridley!! Not realizing he has his fallen brother’s phone, Freya turns out to be just what Ridley needs to be able to survive during his undercover work.

As they say, the rest is history. They text, call, and once he is back to his normal duties, they start seeing each other. Ridley realizes he feels more for Freya than he thought, but can he let go of his wife? He’s terrified of moving on. Several times, I wanted to slap him because he kept pushing her away. I understand his heart was broken but Freya is exactly what he needs to move on and be happy. I could feel Freya opening up to being a new woman as this book progressed also. She isn’t forgetting her brother, but she is learning to move on with her life.

As with Lani Lynn’s books, I was hooked on page one and couldn’t stop reading. I just wanted more and more of this story. I wanted to know the deeper side of Ridley because he has been so cut off from the world. He has an immense love for his family and I loved seeing more of that also, besides the big badass biker cop. Getting more of the hot bikers from the previous book is a real plus for me, too. I just love these bikers!! In this book, you get two broken people who were traumatized by death but learn to start a new life with each other. Their relationship is intense, smoking hot, and one you won’t forget in this 4 star book.

First off for this book isn’t like your typical MC romance books. This book doesn’t revolve around a world filled with crime, drugs and sex like most books in this genre. This book is more like a contemporary romance novel where the guy just happens to be part of a MC club as well. If you have been wanting to try a MC romance but haven’t in the past due to some of the content I would highly recommend giving this book a try.

Ridley’s life changed forever five years ago when his wife was killed during a home invasion. He life now revolves around his brotherhood with the Uncertain Saints, his sister’s family and his work with the Sherriff’s department. He vows to never allow himself to get close to a woman again knowing he can’t bear to go through that kind of pain again.

When Ridley’s sister needs a ride to her doctor’s appointment Ridley ask one of his coworkers if he can give her a ride since Ridley is scheduled to work. Tragedy strikes for Ridley again when his sister and his friend/coworker are involved in a wreck and Ridley’s friend dies. Guilt eats Ridley up, if he had just driven his sister none of the would have happened. Just when things look really low for Ridley he meets a beautiful ER nurse who looks like she is facing her own struggles and he can’t help but feel a connection and pull towards her.

Freya’s life has been one big loss after another. She lost her parents at a young age leaving just her brother until her brother dies in a car wreck. He as her everything: her best friend, her companion, her shoulder to cry on. She doesn’t know how she can go on by herself and she doesn’t know that she wants to. Until Ridley comes into her life turning her world upside down. He is everything she needs, strong, caring and protective, everything she lost when her world came crashing down.

These two have both suffered horrible heartache in their lives but together they can rebuild and move on. I loved these two characters, they were so good for each other and their love and passion was beautiful.

I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinion stated are
my own.

Ridley Walker has demons in his past that make him believe that he doesn't have anything left to lose. The night that Freya, a nurse who saves his life, he starts to rethink his belief. He feels a serious connection to her in a short time, although it makes him feel a bit guilty. He can't stay away though, and he runs by her house on a night that saves her. Freya Capone has hit bottom after her brother/best friend is killed. She's barely surviving, as she has nothing left to lose, until she meets a sexy biker with The Uncertain Saints MC, and who's a sheriff's deputy to boot. And although she doesn't want to fall in love with the man who's responsible for taking her brother away, she can't seem to stay away from him. But when evil forces come after her, will Ridley be able to protect her before it's too late?

I've come to the conclusion that I would sign up for a tour that promotes this author's grocery list. Yes, she's that brilliant. And when a brilliant author that never rests on her laurels with any story she puts out, all a reviewer can do, is gush like the fan girl blogger she is. The character development is fantastic, with a ever present highly entertaining cast of secondaries. Ridley oozes sexy, so the simmering chemistry finally boils over into panty destroying sexy scene goodness that is FIERY HOT! And let me not forget the HILARIOUS well placed humor that keeps me laughing, as Freya is an enigma all on her own, even with her gut wrenching emotions that seep out of my kindle. I have said it before, and most likely I'll NEVER stop saying it, but Lani Lynn Vale's brilliant writing style is just EPIC! Usually I would say that I was transported into her story from the very first paragraph, but honestly, now it starts at her name on a super sexy cover. Diabolical twist and turns are ever present, which keeps the f-bombs raining down, and the action keeps my heart racing. I'll never not be impatiently waiting on her next story, so I'll end this fan girl gushing review with my shouting from the rooftops that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“Sometimes getting out of bed ruins the whole day.”

I think we’ve all felt the same way one time or another and Ridley and Freya can relate. Family and life continue to take a toll with grief and regret dogging their steps. How they find their way to each other may be fate, or possibly good luck, but what it is for sure is rocky.
Ridley’s job means he wants to help and protect people – whether he is wearing his badge or his cut. His family, his friends, his MC brothers – he will do what he can to keep them safe and well. Freya soon sneaks under his radar, her fragility and meekness pinging ever sense he has to be her protector, his friend.

Reeling from the worst blow of her life, Freya is barely keeping her head above water. Ridley is her bearded white knight and she is drawn to him, soon wanting to be more than his friend…

“Sometimes I wrestle my demons, and sometimes we just cuddle.”

This series has it all – emotions, humor and the highs and lows of living and loving… Ridley and Freya both have reasons to stay away from relationships but they can’t deny the attraction, even though they try!

“I’ve come to the point in my life where I need a stronger word than ‘f***’.”

This is one of my favourite authors. She is able to mix humour and drama, danger and love in an emotional and total satisfying blend. I love this series with its rough and tumble characters who love, live and fight with passion and conviction. They can be bold and brash, sexy and quiet, but always have heart. Ridley and Freya encompass all that and more in their uncertainty and their wonderful flawed-ness.

With drama to spare, this instalment is one of my favourites. At least until the next one!

Dirty Mother is #5 in the Uncertain Saints series by Lani Lynn Vale.

I've read the whole series and loved each book. After reading each book I have a new favorite book boyfriend and Ridley is definitely my new favorite. But I really do love all of the Uncertain Saints, it's hard to love just one.
Why do you need to make it so hard for me to have a favorite guy from your books Lani?? Each book I fall for the leading guy, they just get better and better.

Ridley has been through a lot, met the love of his life and lost the love of his life, now he lives for his sister and his new niece. A member of the Uncertain Saints MC and being sheriff keep Ridley busy, so he thinks nothing of asking a fellow cop/friend to accompany his sister to an appointment and then tragedy strikes. And the he meets her, Freya.
Ridley has to be my favorite Uncertain Saint, he's so Alpha, but yet so sweet and understanding. Always looking after the females in his life.

Freya is a nurse who hates her job, dealing with her coworkers who bully her and the loss of her brother and only family member she had left and starts sinking into depression. And then she meets him, Ridley.
My heart broke for Freya, but loved the fact her loss brought her someone who would truly understand her loss.
From the moment Ridley and Freya meet, you feel their connection. It's like fate knew they needed each other.

Absolutely loved this book, loved how Ridley and Freya got to know each other and became friends before giving into their feelings. This book gave me the feels the whole way through. There were a few times I wanted to smack Ridley upside his head, men!

I cannot recommend this whole series enough. Each book gets better and better.
Cannot wait to see what Lani Lynn Vale has for us next!

Dirty Mother, is the fifth book in the Uncertain Saints series, and is my favorite of the series so far. Although this could be read as a standalone some of the timeline overlaps slightly with Bad Apple, so you get more understanding of what's happening when you read both books.

Freya is shy, vulnerable, insecure, endearing and like-able. She has a back bone, but everything is getting on top of her with the loss of her brother. She's all alone in the world after her brother, who was her best friend, confidante and cheer squad and only family passes away.

Ridley is a police officer and member of the Uncertain Saints MC. He's surrounded by family and friends but doesn't form long lasting relationships with members of the opposite sex.

This pair are both emotionally damaged after loosing someone they loved deeply. They form a friendship that develops into a much stronger realtionship, with quite a few bumps along the road to finding a happy ever after. I loved watching this pair both go on a journey of self discovery and find that what they both really want and need is each other.

I loved that so many of the Uncertain Saints appeared in this book. Although at times this read can be quite heartbreaking, I really enjoyed it. Dirty Mother, is a story full of romance, passion and love. It also has a wonderful blend of suspense, and action that I've come to expect with every Lani Lynn Vale book.

Ridley and Freya meet in the most unconventional way, it's actually quite a funny moment. Their first encounter involves a hospital, Ridley's sister Kitt and a whole mess of vomit lol. But aside from that brief funny moment Ridley and Freyas lives become entwined with one another due to a devastating accident. An accident that takes a partner from Ridley and a brother from Freya. As Ridley finally connects exactly who Freya is and how much she's suffering through such a devastating loss he's forced into a situation that causes him to leave her side exactly when she needs him the most. Freya not one to let something or someone slip so easily away from her again is determine to connect and stay connected to Ridley, even if it involves one or maybe two jailhouse visits.

Lani Lynn has once again delivered another spectacular addition to our Uncertain Saints couples. Ridley and Freyas story is an unusual one but also an instantly captivating read. These two overcome some pretty devastating situations together. They fall in love rather quickly but must overcome some obstacles in both their lives before either of the two can fully commit to one another. I loved the flow of this story it was smooth and quick to deliver. My most favorite supporting character through this book had to be Apple aka Core. It was great to see him as a supporting character and getting brief glimpses of where him and Kitt are in life. I give this read a 4-star rating and I definitely recommend you one click or add to your TBR list ASAP!

These Uncertain Saints bikers!! I love a broken man but a big bad damaged biker makes me melt into a puddle.
Ridley and Freya came together under the  saddest of situations. It nearly did her in but he saved her. He was torn away from her and when she was low he saved her again. A rough and rugged knight in leather on a Harley!
But Ridley had a past that kept him from moving forward with Freya and would keep her at a safe distance. It was infuriating! I wanted to choke him!!!
I wanted to hate Freya for being so weak but she wasn't weak, she was just patient. She was also a freakin' bad#ss with a gun!! I had to love her!
Their up and down, drama filled road to happiness was a story I couldn't put down. Cannot wait for the next one! Each book in this series is just as good or better than the last.

Finally!! I think Ridley’s story was the most anticipated for me because for one I didn’t really like him when we were first introduced to him at the beginning of the series. I questioned a few times how much I really liked him in Dirty Mother based on decisions he made but at the end of the day, he’s Ridley and I wouldn’t change that. He’s been through a lot with his family and those trials have hardened him. It was nice to see the softer side of him though. You can tell he cares deeply for his family. My heart really ached for Freya. She’s been through a lot as well and things just don’t seem to get better for her no matter what she does. She had some really immature moments that made me question her sanity but aside from that I liked her character. The story was fast paced and had plenty of depth. I had a hard time putting this one down. As always, Lani Lynn Vale has written another great read with a little suspense and plenty of humor. I look forward to what she releases next.

When you start reading from the first page and can’t put it down till the last page, of course that is me. Every book I read from Lani Lynn Vale keeps getting better every time.
This is about Freya and Ridley who both have lost so much, that it has affected them in so many ways. Freya is a soft-spoken woman who has lost her brother in a tragic accident and is trying to cope the best way she can. Ridley lost his wife, but has not had connection with anyone till Freya came along. I’m not going to lie at times, I wanted throw something at Ridley for not realizing what he has in front of him. These two really are so much alike at times you could feel the pain, they’ve gone through. In this book you do get some drama, some really HOT sexy scenes, but just a really good story about second chances.
Don’t think about it, go one click this book today and you’ll love it as much as, I did. If you like a alpha male, motorcycles then this book is going to be for you.

More of the same. weak main female leads that needs a man to justify them. the H is just pathetic..get over yourself already. I found myself skiping page after page while the boork went nowhere. There was no point to the bullying she experienced except to show how pathetic she was. And the H staying away for 2 weeks after taking here vaginity and having no contact then expects her to be waiting....ffs! she basically just accepts it so doormat shall be your name. lame story, maybe author needs to try quality over quantity going forward.

This is the fifth book in the Uncertain Saints MC series, and what a great series it is. This is Freya and Ridley’s story. Freya is a shy person, who is battling to deal with her brother’s death, and Ridley is a cop, as well as in the Uncertain Saints MC. Due to a horrible past, the last thing that protective Ridley wants is to become involved in a relationship. These two have an awesome chemistry between them.
This story is full of passion, heat, heartache, emotion, and love. Do yourself a favour, and don’t miss out on this fabulous series. This author is one of my favourites, and I cannot wait to read more from her.

Wasn't one of my favorites, had some serious issues about the plot and characters. Freya needed to grow a backbone, and Ridley needed to man up. A few issues a big being, what happened to the slimeass that took freya's and her brothers houses away from her?
That was such an important issue for Freya, the last thing she held onto concerning her deceased brother.

Another great book from Lani, I loved this one. I really loved Freya, she was smart, funny and just great. Ridley was funny, strong, and amazing. These two together was great, they kind of had that push pull thing going on throughout the whole book. It was perfectly mixed suspense, action and romance. I can't wait for the next one.
