Another outstanding addition to the Demon Accords Universe! Conroe continues to raise the bar without going overboard (mixed metaphors, I know) and keeps us excited about his characters and their journeys. Can't wait for the next book!

This stuff is addicting. The characters feel incredibly real. Easy fast paced read with mystery, suspense, monsters, and best of all hero's of all kinds. Highly recommended, Jim Butcher's fans will have to ad John Conroe to their list of must read authors.

The characters evolve in interesting new directions, as Mr. Conroe's world expands into fascinating different areas. Fast paced, and very satisfying. This is an excellent installment in the series. Can't wait for the next in the series, Winterfall.

Yet another amazing book in this series. Love how neatly some of the issues from the last book were wrapped up. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next book. I just know the author won't disappoint me.

In this book we get even more character growth out of Declan and how he fits into the team. I am interested in seeing how Omega is going to deal with God, due to the fact He could be a risk to Declan. Loved the book a good read again.

This is a great series with one major problem, you have to wait too long for the next book. I follow a lot of authors in different genres but John Conroe is the one that makes the thrill of the next book seems unbearable.

The series just gets better and better! I cannot wait until the next installment! Chris, Tanya, Declan (my favorite), Stacia, Aswasos and the rest of the characters bring excitement, mystery and fun reading for everyone. Absolutely wonderful chapter in an amazing series!

Read them all!! This is another good fun escapism read. Can`t wait to see what happens when a galactically stupid someone kidnaps one of the Demidova babies. Maybe a Farie player who doesn't clue in a megaton nuclear Declan...uhhhh weapon .....has dropped by?? Oh and his bosses serious old Grandmother-vamp-in-law- might get grumpy about it!! Never mind the 800lb Kodiak demon bear buddy. Ahhhh plot fun yet to be had....more please!!!!

Enjoyable addition to the storyline that opens up new avenues going forward. This installment was a little more fast paced than normal I felt, which isn't a bad thing when it's meant as a novel of important occurrences! The humor was still there and Grim was allowed off his leash to take care of a few upstarts.

Another great read by Conroe. Spoiler alert.

This one starts with Chris, Tanya, Declan, Stacia, Omega, Sos, Arkady, Nika, Dr. Singh and Lydia are in Cobham, Surrey, England.

Chris has a demon to remove from a very sick five year old. Its going to be tricky because of the little girls illness. He and Declan get it done and they head for home. Almost home they are approached by two American fighters.

Omega tells the crews that President Garth has suffered a heart attack and died and that why the jets are here. Chris and crew will be asked to land at Andrews Air Force Base. The new President, Polner, want to speak with them.

Polner will prove to be a friend unlike Garth who hated Chris, Tanya and the crew. He tasks them with finding out exactly how the President died. No one believes the heart attack story. Declan uses his skills to track the woman Garth was with when he died. A woman who disappeared after help arrived. Seems she's headed for Las Vegas. Las Vegas where the witch and her were son Dragan are located.

So begins another damned fine read.

This one has Chris, Tanya a very pregnant Tanya, Sos, Stacia, Declan, Lydia, Nika, Arkady, President Polner, and Dr. Singh who arrive in Las Vegas where the woman, wrapped in packaging, a woman who's a vampire, shipped herself, a group who kill her, a group Chris and company take out, Las Vegas vampires who try to get Tanya to come with them, a Chris, Tanya a crew who reply with a resounding no, the dead vampires, the two vampires who are the Masters of Las Vegas, a Canyon the area, a Dragon who now looks to be nineteen or twenty years old, the souls that were used to increase his growth, the revenants who are with him doing the work of looking for the name of a fire elemental, a Chris and Tanya who interrupt the search, the finding of part of the name, a Dragan who escapes with the other part of the name, the Painted Horse gentlemen's club, revenants, an attack on the club, a vampire safe house that Chris and company use, a kidnapped Lydia, a Chris and Declan who get her back, a knock down drag out fight through Las Vegas, a Tanya who delivers the twins Beowulf and Corella, a Chis, Declan and Stacia who are more than a match for Dragan, death, destruction and Chris and company doing their best to save who they can, kill the bad guys, thread the needle with the Govt. and stay alive.

Five Stars and then some.

Whether the battles are physical, magical, political, psychological, or snark-filled, this latest book in the Demon Accords series takes no prisoners (no, really) and provides us a great view of Team God Hammer working together. We also get to watch thoughtful individual stories play out, and meet some cute babies. (Let's be very very careful around the babies, shall we?) There's also an irritated elemental (not a morning person), angry and demonic werewolves (respectively), a conflicted warlock (with multiple conflicts), power-hungry vampires (congressional and actual), aggressive magic use (handy stuff, magic), prolific gun fire (effectual and ineffectual), snark use (heavy and dripping), chase scenes (automated and manual), self-driving cars (sort of), excitable reporters (redundant), many circles (handy things, circles), an angelic sword (most swords are), and brief exposure to killer robots. So yeah, good stuff, and mostly what you've come to expect.

The story is great; the plot is pretty straightforward, but the pieces of it move around a bit in enjoyable ways. The pace is spot on, and there aren't any sub plots or additional views of the main story, although there very easily could have been. A number of small items, relationships, and actions were polished up, which personally made me happy. All told, this book is very much the next step the series needed, showing character and plot growth, as well as serving up the usual stuff. We also get some new development treats that promise much more to come. Once again Mr. Conroe comes through with a very enjoyable story, awesome characters, and dreamy editing.

If you're a regular reader then you know this is a must-buy: my review just says you'll likely have a good time doing so. If you're new to the series you really should start at the beginning with "God Touched" and work your way up from there. Enjoy.

As always the current book goes by too quickly and I can't wait to read the next book when it comes out. On the other hand, I'm getting quite good at re-reading each of the books and repeatedly reviewing scenes. (It helps with the addiction.) Highly Recommended.

The entire Demon Accords series reads extremely well. John does an an excellent job writing a superman/Chuck Norris like character. Though I prefer Declan's point of view over Chris's. I am really looking forward to Winterfell and hope it comes out soon.

Another excellent book in the series. I recommend to read the series from the start! The author does a good job of dropping hints for the direction of future books and does leave some plot lines unanswered to allow for future character growth so reading the series from the beginning has value above and beyond the sheer delight of reading the books themselves.

Conroe continues to provide a unique perspective to his writing that draws the reader in and keeps them interested in the story. I find myself rereading the Demon Accords series on a regular basis and encourage any new readers to start from the beginning. You won't be disappointed.

This latest entry into the Demon Accords series is more like an anthology of novellas with a loose running theme in the background.

Surprisingly little happened other than action scenesand wholesale murder. Almost no plot advancement (the actual amount of plot pages likely numbers somewhere near 20, at best).

The characters supper from MASSIVE power-creep and no enemies pose a challenge. Like... at all. Never is there a doubt. Never is there a chance of failure...

*spoiler*

And the one possible scenario that they seemingly cant handle... instantly gets taken care of by super computer that has ALL the answers.

Each sub plot takes place in its own story block, wrapping up before moving on to the next. Each is not fleshed out enough to be interesting but long enough that there is a 40 page action scene that continues to persist because Chris keeps stopping to act as an EMT. What the hell is the rest of the team for then?

Its confusing and obvious, boring but action packed, bloated but not fleshed out and the stories are more like legos clipped on to each other as completed segments. A building clipped to a boat, all set on top of a pace ship. Huh?

No... just no.

No Bueno.

Great addition to the Demon Accords universe. All of your favorite characters are accounted for. Declan is becoming the most interesting character as he has so much more to grow. Definitely recommend this book along with all the others.

Pretty much sums it up. Great book. Fast paced and full of action. While I really like the previous book (Rogues ) I enjoyed seeing this one written from Chris' point of view rather than Declan. Not that I don't like the Declan, it's just that I like the "God Hammer" a bit more.
