Recommend to all Tom Clancy fans. Pretty typical adventure but shows what a true president should be doing in light of terrorist attacks. Lots of war stuff but has some truth in it also, especially regarding Islamic terrorism on America.

This book gets only three stars because of all the horrible editing errors. I can only guess that the print edition is better. Every page has multiple errors of interchangeably using "e" and "c". This makes for a frustrating read. The story is typical Clancy.

While I harbour suspicons that the villain of former Vice President Edward J. Kealty maybe a slanderous representation of the late and great Senator Ted Kennedy, this is still a great novel. Clancy's works are very realistic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Clancy has such depth and breadth of accurately presented knowledge of the politics and the organozation of government. Keeps you on the edge as a horrific terrorist plot before 9/11 and the recent Ebola outbreak unfolds.

This very long book, held my attention and interest for a long time since my schedule does not allow long novel reading times. It was very topical and includes many of our current problems, I would love Jack Ryan as our president! Loved it and bought the Kindle book since I lost my paper copy on vacation. I have also bought the next one and hope to read it soon!

Enjoyed the read, though there were too many sub-plots that made the novel a little longer than needed. I found myself skimming some of the details. The kind of story you read on a vacation when you have a lot of time.

Absolutely awesome. Provides many insights to Countries throughout the world, inclusive of China and the Middle East. Always gives you thoughts of the "what ifs"....thrilling to say the least.
Had a hard time putting this the book down, as I wanted to see what the possibilities were of the happenings in multiple areas.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Love this author's books. So well done, but sometimes it gets too technical for my old brain. However, the story is great. This author will be greatly missed. I especially liked his Jack Ryan series.

It is action-packed. It is almost scary because it seems to mirror exactly what's going on in today's political arena. It just took a little bit too much time to actually develop the storyline. I recommend it highly, however.

This was an exciting read, but as others have said, it is long and several hundred pages could be removed without affecting the plot. I read this in sequence and I think it was good, but it could be read without previous Ryan series books

An interesting take on Washington, namely "what if.." if a non-politician were to become president. Jack moves away from being a badass CIA analyst, which is disappointing, but it's still cool to see how and what he tries to accomplish with the government.

Tom Clancy excels with this follow on novel, following the rise of Jack Ryan to the presidency. Thoroughly enjoyable with many sub plots that keep the reader attentive and sometimes needing to go back to reestablish relationships. What next?

Usual Tom Clancy brilliance. A fitting end to the Jack Ryan life story and once again brilliantly told. I continue to hope that Tom Clancy will one day write a book where the bad guys were just not so dumb :)
