As I read the prequel instantly fell in love with Rylan and Jenna.... and in Forbidden Pleasures.... it was a roller coaster ride with them,but it was worth it. Couldn't put the book down.... the chemistry between Rylan n Jenna, it was more than sex.....

I highly recommend.... M. S. Parker is an excellent and awesome writer, love her books! I can't wait for the next book!!?

I liked the prequel, but this went into bdsm, that is not my scene and the leading man seems creepy. The book has some editing problems. If I'd known the story would venture into bdsm, I would never have bought the sequel. I buy many books on the store, but for this one, I'd actually want a refund.

This was an emotional book to read, Jenna flashes back to the severe sexual abuse that she suffered at the hands of her mother and those she allowed to abuse her for money and drugs.

Rylan has no idea the trauma that Jenna has suffered, he just knows that from the moment he saw her, there was something about her that drew him to her. Jenna needs to be in control and she has been seeking out college students to have sex with, only once and then she moves on quickly.

Rylan is dominant in nature, and once Jenna is able to open up to him, he sets out to have her trust him and to give her heart to him.

Some twists towards the end, a great story and well written as always.

Sad story about an abused woman, an "alpha" male and a sick freak.

I thought the story had a lot of repitition of the same thing from the girl in the beginning. I understand the author was trying to show a pattern to the reader. But it was a little over kill. I also would have liked better hints as to what conflict was going on. She had a major one going and ended up not using it in the rest of the book. I felt that it took the reader off on an unnecessary tangent.

M.S. Parker you have done it again with forbidden pleasures. I love that your stories have a greater storyline evolving your characters. Forbidden Pleasures story of Rylan and Jenna is truly amazing. When Rylan and Jenna meet its
Instant chemistry between them. With Jennas past she doesn't do romance or relationships. She's a hit it and run kind of girl that must be in control. When she starts to fall for Rylan she starts to let her safety nets down and allows Rylan to take her to a place she's never been before. Rylan and Jenna Grow together along the way and even when Rylan learns of Jennas past he sees past it and doesnt judge her for her past. Rylan is hot, dominant, smart, sexy, and rich, but he's everything a woman would want all wrapped up in one person. Thank you M.S. Parker for a truly remarkable story of lust, love and companionship.

This was a very amazing book. At first i wasnt sure if i would get into it but once i did it was amazing. I couldnt put it down. Thes characters

just pull you into their story together and their separate stories. Story line is great and very well written. I loved how there was a sort of

back up story for the main charater Jenna, it let you kinda get to know her. Almost like you were in person talking to her. As much as I love

Jenna's character, the way Rylan was described i think i fell for him and adore him.

This well written story is more than what this title suggests. This is the story of a girl who was damaged by thirteen years of constant abuse, with no one to care and love her, and once she was saved from this horrible environment, decided to change her life.

Jenna lives in her own bubble. She has re-invented herself, studied and received her masters degree, and now she provides an invaluable service to companies with computer problems. She works best alone and without much human interaction. She does not get along well with others.

Sex for her is a release. You hook-up, immediately after you dress and leave. No need for names or conversations. This is just a necessary evil to relieve some stress. She is in control; she seduces the target; she call the shots.

The job at Archer Enterprises is different. The CEO keeps her under his commanding eye, and although he is very nice, she cannot help but feel uncomfortable. She senses there is more than the job at hand going on and she is definitely correct.

Ryland Archer...what can we say? He is brilliant, gorgeous, successful and he is definitely intrigued by Jenna. He is the catalyst in this story to bringing down the walls Jenna has built around her. It is his patience, deep understanding, and intrinsic kindness that extends to her the feeling of safety and protection.

You will not be able to put this book down. This is a story of survival at its most primal level. The past never stays in the past. It always rises to haunt and create a clear and present danger from which you will have to nail your way through to survival. Do not miss this book!

This book starts off right where the prequel left off. Jenna has agreed to work at Archer enterprises hoping that it will draw a line that they can’t be together. She is okay with this at first because Rylan agrees to what he wants but after a while she can’t take it anymore. She is having trouble dealing with her feeling and him flirting with other people or what she thinks is flirting. After a really bad panic attack in an elevator she has no choice but to explain some of her past to Rylan. Instead of being totally freaked out by her panic attack he was helpful. He took care of her and made sure she was okay. He didn’t just drop her off and the E.R. like he could have. Rylan surprises Jenna by how he acts when she tells him a little bit about her past. In wanted to protect her and make sure she was okay. He wanted to know what he could do, what she wanted him to do. No one had ever asked her that before. She finds herself wanting to get closer to Rylan. After that night she realizes that she feels safe with Rylan something she thought she would never feel around a man again. I really like this series and can’t wait to read more. Rylan is great; he is so patient and caring with Jenna. She is everything to him and he will do anything for her. Jenna had a horrible childhood and went through things I can’t even imagine. I loved how she found some kind of peace with Rylan. That she found someone she could feel at ease with. I am excited to read more about their story in the next book. I am really pulling for them. I would like to get to learn more about Rylan.

There is also is also Pleasures #0.5 and Pleasures #1.5 that can read in series; not necessary but it does more to explain why Rylan and Jenna are the way that they are. I thought Forbidden Pleasures #1 was a good book and would recommend it.

After getting to read the novella of Broken Pleasures I fell in love with Jenna and Rylan. The way that Jenna handles herself as well as others is amazing considering all that she has endured throughout her young life. The prequel gives us a glimpse into Jenna's past and why she handles, people, sex, and overall situations the way that she does.

I like how M.S. Parker allowed us to see the vulnerable side of Jenna in Forbidden Pleasures. She gave us a little more insight into what has actually taken place to make her the way that she is as a complete person. The amazing thing is, is that even though this book keeps you wondering if Jenna and Rylan will connect again or just become good friends. Not only do you feel the draw between them, the way that he seems to see beyond the exterior layers of Jenna is what makes him the man he is and draws some trust from her.

As we move more into the story the way that M.S. Parker trips us up from everything we thought we knew is a phenomenal twist. I have to say she definitely caught me off guard. To say that I want to see what will happen between Jenna and Rylan is an understatement. I still have not had my thirst quenched for this series.

The last thing that Jenna Lang expected when she went to work for Rylan Archer was for him to be invading her mind but that's exactly what happened, especially after one kiss which made her run away. Rylan Archer on the other hand was quite intrigued by Jenna as soon as she walked in, he could tell that by her appearance that she was hiding something but that she was a stronger person. He wants to know more about her and he makes is very clear to her but now it's up to her whether she is going to risk letting someone in.

Rylan Archer is completely smitten with Jenna but he can tell something happened a while back for the way she acts now, he has no intention of hurting her but he just wants to protect her so when he does hire her to work at his company he is completely blown away by her computer skills, he hasn't exactly had a stable relationship because of having his heart broken.

You honestly don't want to miss the chance to see if Jenna is willing to risk it all for Rylan, after reading the prequel Broken Pleasures I honestly couldn't wait to see what the rest of this series hand in store. You won't regret picking up this book.

While certain elements (rich, young CEO with a passion for BDSM) have been done before, the quality of the characters and the richness of their stories make it very easy to let them pull you into their world. Rylan’s patience with Jenna is moving and his control when she needs it immediately illustrates just how much he cares for her, and how their story can progress. They were engaging characters, I wanted to know more of Jenna’s history, I was willing her almost from the beginning to let go that tiny bit and see where it would take her and Rylan. There was a perfect balance of everything. Just enough sex to keep you hot, just enough secrets to keep you wondering, and just enough peril to have your heart race!

A wonderful 4 star read, and I would recommend it!

Tragic and powerful this book surpasses all of Parker's other series. Jenna had a horrible childhood that continues to haunt her. Rylan is showing her, without realizing how damaged she is, that a man can be loving and protective. She wants to think she can do this herself without the knight in shining armor, but she cannot. While reading I appreciated how the story unfolded slowly, just the right amount of details leaked at a time. I felt entranced by the details of some and horrified, as a mother, at the others. Be warned there are sensitive issues mentioned, child abuse mainly. Without giving spoilers to Jenna's story just know that it was written tastefully and respectfully. Looking forward to Rylan's POV next. Thanks to the author for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

The graphic childhood abuse scenes took the whole thing just one step too far. Stopped reading when it started feeling like there was a line being crossed. I'm all for hot romance, but when child abuse sex scenes start showing up in detail, that just starts to feel a little bit creepy. I get that the abuse and flash backs are part of the plot but it all just started getting a little too detailed and specific. Deleted this book from my library and won't be getting anything from this author again.

After reading Broken Pleasures (the prequel), I couldn't wait to get my hands on Forbidden Pleasures to see what made Jenna the way she was. OH BOY, do you find out in this book!!! Jenna has a very disturbing past that she's not willing to share. She goes to work for Rylan and says she'll never sleep with him again, that it'll be strictly business..yea right. This book has it all....it's sweet, very sexual, dark, and mysterious! All of my favorite things rolled up in one book! I've read all of M.S. Parker's books, and this, in my opinion, was the best one yet!!! This is a MUST READ book! I'm looking forward to the novella from Rylan's point of view!! GREAT book M.S. Parker! 5 stars isn't enough, wish I could give more!!

You are NOT going to want to miss out on this book! I’m serious! I have been a fangirl of MS Parker for a while now and each book gets better and better and better. I don’t know how she is going to top this one but I am eager to find out. This book blew me away.

In the prequel, we get small glances into Jenna’s past. We get enough to know that something very dark is lurking there. Once you find out the full story, you will be shocked beyond words. I can’t imagine going through what she did and surviving. It made me want to hunt people down and do unspeakable things to them...mainly, Jenna’s mother.

Jenna has been coping with her past the best one could. She has been hopping from one lover to another, never more than one time. She always has to be in control or it could trigger something from her past. When she meets Rylan, she gets the first glimpse that she could have more in her life. However, since they work together, she doesn’t want to jeopardize her career and her reputation. She worked hard to get where she is. Well tell that to her wandering thoughts. Jenna can’t seem to shake the memories of their one night together.

When Rylan makes it obvious that he wants more too, will Jenna be able to risk it? Will she be able to bare her soul to him and open her heart for the first time? Rylan has his own skeletons. Can Jenna handle those? So many questions! Read the book to get the answers. Also an added bonus to make the book even more shocking, darkness is lurking and watching her and she doesn’t see it coming until BAM it’s there. My heart stopped for a few moments when that came boiling to a head.

MUST read. If you’re a fan of MS Parker already, I’m sure I don’t have to sell it to you. If you haven’t read anything from her yet, I’d highly recommend it. She is one of my favorite authors. She can write erotic like it’s nobody’s business. Behind all the extremely hot and steamy sexual scenes are amazing stories. They are all well written and full of WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT?!?!?!?! Her women are not damsels in distress but beautifully broken to some degree and strong. Her men are sexy as sin and you can’t help but want to dry hump their legs. Love this woman’s work! I really enjoyed this story. The story is very emotional and sexy. Jenna has been through a horrific ordeal as a child and feels that she has to be control and will never let anyone hurt her again. She keeps distance from people. She has rebuilt her life and feels in control. Then she meets Rylan. She doesn't want to feel for him but after one night she can't get him out of her mind. He turns out to be exactly what she needs. The tenderness, understanding and love that he shows her is heart melting.

The story is well written and there are parts when she relives the abuse that broke my heart, but the love that Rylan shows hers was heartwarming. She thought she was too broken to love but Rylan is showing her that isn't true.

I definitely recommend this book.

I loved the prequel & was counting down for Forbidden Pleasures & OMG!!! It did not disappoint!! I absolutely loved it!!! Honestly I have loved every single book that I've read by M.S. PARKER!

I have to give Jenna mad props for snagging a yummy alpha like Rylan! The poor woman having such a dark past finds that Rylan is the light at the end of her dark tunnel.

Rylan is absolutely amazing! Oh, to have a man like him! *swoon.

These two together are sexy and create such intense fireworks that you will not be able to stop reading to see what comes next!

Another MUST-READ by M.S. Parker!!

Getting ready to dive into the novella that follows this read, His Pleasures! I know it will be amazing!

After reading the prequel, I was hooked! I couldn't wait to start this book! I had no idea the depths of Jenna's past issues, Rylan entering her life came at the perfect time. In my mind I assumed that the book would take the usual path, which I would have been ok with because I loved the chemistry between Rylan and Jenn; but wow ways I wrong.

I couldn't put the book down, What a roller coaster ride it was! I loved the relationship developing between Rylan and Jenna, their chemistry was amazing. The heat between them was never lacking and I can't wait to see what Parker has in store for them in the future.

The book had such depth, it has jumped to the short list of my favorites. I am hoping that Jenna and Rylan's story has a lot more for us, because I need more! I have thoroughly enjoyed every book by Parker, but this series may have surpassed them.

After reading Broken Pleasures I could not wait to start this!

The beginning gives you the prequel, which is good if you don't want to read it separately - it gives you just enough to want to know more about Jenna's past and in Forbidden Pleasures we get to find out all about it!

I knew something awful had happened in Jenna's past but when it came down finding out I wasn't prepared for it - it blew me away and left me shocked for words.

I love Jenna and Rylan's relationship throughout this book and I cant wait to read his POV in the next instalment coming soon.

This to me, is by far her best book (series) yet! 5 stars just aren't enough.
