Black Heart (Cursed Hearts Book 1)

I really enjoyed Black Heart. You get romance/paranormal /HOT cop and a sassy heroine. Tristan and Marty are as loveable and feisty as the couples in her other books and this is a great start to a new series. Looking forward to Shayne's story!!!

though its not my favorite it was really well written and i still loved it. personally my favorite series are NFH. but this story was still out of the ballpark. but i really liked how different it was. Black Heart (Cursed Hearts)

The first half of this book was really great, just like classic R.L. Matthewson stories. The second half was weird and disjointed. I didn't like the plot twist at all and had to force myself to keep reading it just out of loyalty to the author.

Love, love, love!!!!! Sweet & original. A unique storyline that will run your emotions through the wringer. Bad a** female lead character. A little lady not afraid to take her anger out on male characters "family jewels". Alpha male characters that are funny, sweet & tender. Can't wait for the next installment.

I actually cried while reading this and that never happens. I couldn't put it down once I picked it Tristan may have ruined me for the Bradford's!!!!! Such a great book can't wait to read what happens to shayne!!!

I love this book, RL always delivers. I laughed and got frustrated at their predicament and I loved it.

Only thing that I have negative to say is regarding the brothers. There are so many of them and I didn't get to tell the difference between them. Also, the POV flip-flop (with the brothers) was confusing.

Awesome read and I cannot wait for the other installments!

I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I typically stay away from anything with a paranormal theme to it. However, this book was absolutely hilarous! The quick witted barbs between Tristan and Marty left me laughing out loud; so did Shane's little antics. The funniest bit was Tristan's story of the pink bunnies to the therapist...hahaha! Just think about that cracks me up! I can't wait for the next installment :)

The story was a love story but with a lot of twist.
I can't wait to read what happens with the other brothers and the curse.

I love Tristan and Marty! Marty has lots of spunk which I've come to expect from Matthewson's leading ladies. Tristan was a huge jerk but underneath it all he had a huge heart, willing to do anything for those he cares about, repeatedly. The clan had me totally laughing out loud, inappropriately at time earring funny looks. Really, the banter between all of them completely makes this story!

I'm a little disappointed in the writing style, the story seems choppy at times. However, after reading the "About this book" in the beginning I was able to overlook lots of things. I like the story enough to be hopeful for more in this series and the set up for the next book was done well. Problem is, will there ever be a next book?

I really haven't read anything that RL Mathewson has written that I haven't enjoyed. Although her characters throughout all of her books have similar themes and relationships, I just can't get enough. These are well developed, can't-put-it-down novels. This is another R L classic, with a paranormal twist. LOVE IT, Keep them coming!

You can't go wrong reading this book, the characters are well developed and the storyline interesting. Love everything written by this author as her style has a witty and often times realistic side that has you laughing out loud. According to Facebook this is the 1st of the series of 8 possibly 9 books, as always I'm excitedly waiting for her next.

Another fabulous read by RL Mathewson!! I absolutely loved the chemistry between the characters and I LOVED how there were even a few "You bastard's!" thrown in there. This is one of my favorite authors and one definitely worth repeating.
