I always enjoy the Dark Hunter Novels. I have not found one that I have not feel in love with while reading. They are fun, enjoyable, and I can really get involved in them. I have a hard time putting them down.

I thoroughly enjoyed this ebook, I'm just glad that more authors are making their books ebook compatible. I absolutely adore this series, the dark hunter series are my favorite from this author. I await anxiously for each installment to get lost the only way one can with this awesome author, thanks Ms Kenyon for the journey.

I love the Dark Hunter Series. Once I discovered them I couldn't read them fast enough to suit me. I did NOT love Time/Untime. It was confusing and far removed from the earlier books when the main charactors were larger than life. This one is very bogged down in language that is difficult to read with all the different tribes, names, etc. I didn't care much for Retribution either. I will anxiously await the next one and hope that we get back to the real Dark Hunters.

Sherrilyn outdoes herself again with this book. We see yet another Dark Hunter fighting with everything he has to help an innocent do what needs to be done.
I was happy to see Nick put in an appearance in this book as well.

The Dark Hunters are at it again. This series can be read as stand alone books, but is better if read in order. There are a lot of referrals to previous settings that are hard to understand if you are unfamiliar with the whole situation. I have always found the humor to be a good foil for the more serious situations. The idea that a whole other world of Daimons, were animals, Gods & Goddesses existing outside our normal frame of reference is a fascinating concept. A minimal knowledge of Greek mythology is helpful as a background to these stories. This is the second in the series that features Native-American gods, this time incorporating the Mayan pantheon A great read as usual.

The price was great! And auto download to my iPad in my Kindle app! Very convenient! Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of the best author out there, she makes you feel and think the characters are real!

Ms Kenyon has spun another awesome tale. It is well worth reading. I love how not only do you get to fall in love with new characters but you get to visit the characters you grew to adore from her previous books.

I enjoyed reading this book although I thought it was too different from the rest of the series. And I rather enjoy the previous books. The beginning was a little too confusing and it took a while to finally clarify it all. I'm still glad I read it but thought it could still be better.

I love alot of the characters that Sherrilyn Kenyon brings to life. This is a continuation of Sundown's book. I appreciation how much Ren and Ka, truly loved each other. I love the special drop by from Ash and Nick.

Very confusing story just like the previous book. It seems two thirds of the book were flashbacks, which I did not find enjoyable. The Mayan/American Indian folklore was very hard to follow. Almost like PC Cast successful YA series, only adult version. At least Ash and Nick made an appearance, but not Simi. I wish Ms. Kenyon would take the story back to New Orleans and familiar characters, or end it with Nick's book. Probably won't pre-order the next installment until I read some reviews.

Another wonderful book by SherilLynn Kenyon. She has again outdone herself and expanded the Dark Hunter world. I always love that she gives back stories an fleshes out the characters while giving bits and pieces of both familiar and new characters, providing insights into their lives.

Synopsis: Ren Waya is an old soul who almost destroyed the world, and he is still paying for it 11 thousand years later. Kateri Avani is a professor who is plagued by dreams of her past, and she doesn't know what they mean. With the threat of a looming apocalypse, they are thrown together to save the world. Can they save the world and each other?
Review: I was a bit skeptical going into this book. There are so many Dark Hunter books now, the formulaic nature of the books is getting a bit tiresome. Plus, I didn't like Retribution, and the books are supposed to tie in together nicely. But, I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the book quite a bit. Mostly, I liked it because it reminded me of the Dark-Hunter books from the beginning. Lovable leads, greek mythology, and of course my favorite Cajun.
Kateri is a very lovable heroine, reminiscent of Sunshine, which makes sense considering the circumstances(Talon and Sunshine are in this book). I didn't like Ren in Retribution, but he redeemed himself in this book. Kenyon does tortured heroes well, but he was different because Ren felt he deserved the bad treatment. And his innocent questions of "why do you care?" Gets right to the heart of a self-loathing man. Kateri's anger for Ren, because of his torture, felt incredibly innocent and genuine.
I feel like the dark-hunter books sometimes pull from different mythologies just because Keyon can. However, in this book, the Native American mythologies were quite smartly intertwined with the Greek and faux-Atlantean mythology. While in Retribution we just see the Native American mythology and have no connection with the rest of the books, in this book it takes that story and brings it all together.
Nick Nick Nick Nick Nick. Okay, out of my system. I am not a fan of the Nick prequel books as much, but I love Nick. And we see a lot of his pre-turn personality in this book, and I love it. Those few pages alone made the book for me. This book also had man more witty lines and funny moments than the last few books, and many of them come from Nick, Sasha and Jess-who are funny cause they exist.
There were a few things I didn't like. One, I don't love "following formula" mantra for PNR books, but the dark-hunter books are even more formulaic. Hero (usually tortured) falls in love with a beautiful woman, and they have wild monkey sex, and save the world from ANOTHER apocalypse, and then live forever to have millions of babies. Secondly, the first half of the book is confusing. A lot of things happen without much explanation. It gets cleared up in the second half, but I was tired of not knowing what was going on.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Read it if you like your love stories and some apocalypse stopping action!
Sex: Steam sex scenes written very lovingly
Violence: Death and destruction. Also beating up children.

Quote: "A'ight, baby," she said with a smile. "But just so you know, you get hurt, I'm opening up a can of 'Bama whup-ass on them so big it's gonna look like an LSU Bowl showdown. You hear me? Roll Tide."
Next Book: Styxx, about Acheron's brother comes out next year. Chronicles of Nick's next book, Inferno, will also be out next year.

I have been reading Ms.Kenyon' books for years and have never been disappointed until these last two. I love her strong and assured heros, the twists and turns, the passionate sex scenes, the danger and suspense. Here lately her books have taken on a standard script that I find somewhat boring. She seems to have lost some edge she had over everyone else.
