Very informative! Kudos to Dr. Bredesen for his countless hours and years of research in uncovering possible answers to someday eliminate Alzheimer's. I believe his protocol could work --even though I don't have Alzheimer's, I do have the APOE gene. I want to do all I can to make sure I can prevent this happening to me. His book convinced me to follow his protocol.

Excellent book. It's somewhat technical but I believe there is a lot of truth to this. I wish there was a comprehensive list of all the blood work that needs to be done along with the optimal range to give to the dr. To run the test.

Fascinating book. There is good reason to believe that The End of Alzheimer’s gives a vision of what future medicine will look like, more effective and holistic to help t people live a healthier, happier, more wide-awake life. Hopefully that future is near.

It appears to contain very good, proven, and helpful information. I can start by using the supplement information to optimize my intake. Thank you to Dr. Bredesen for your years of intense study and help on this subject.

Very interesting read and super informative. Lucky if you can find a local doctor to help with the complexities of treatment though and all the lab testing that is needed. Once you have the information it is hard to know what to do with that information.

Hard to really LOVE, but the information (quite technical) could be a lifesaver for many (including me!) I will be seeking a doctor that has either read this book or has the same amount of knowledge. My now deceased mother had Alzheimer's and I am old enough to know I am in the beginning stages (forgetful far too often). If you are having a similar problem, get this book. If your doctor has not tell him to read it or you will go elsewhere!

My husband has a diagnosis of Alzheimer's. We are working with a functional medical doctor which is helping to slow down symptoms. This book validates our approach, however, I doubt this will truly END Alzheimer's. Good information. If you or a loved one has memory issues, this is the book for you.

This is the most scientific based book about Alzheimer's I have found. It is made for 'normal' people to read. If you have Alzheimer's in your family, I believe this is the most accurate and in dept information you can get. The author is also the person doing research, and there is no 'second hand' opinions, just based on author's cutting edge research. Very interesting book well worth reading! It will change the way you look at Alzheimer's.

I am so thankful this book was published. My husband has terrific memory loss--also was beginning to withdraw. I bought this book when it became available and it is my go to book. Put him on a lot of the suggested supplements--walk with him every day--there is no doubt he is much brighter and animated. Don't know if the memory will start coming back but even at this level it is doable for both of us and I have lost that hopeless feeling!!!
We still have more testing to do and get a few more supplements He does chores around the house and is very kind and sweet--not at all combative. He argued a lot last year. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Excellent book. The latest science behind Alzheimers was quite fascinating. I have read many books on Alzheimers prevention. The additional breakdown into all the types was quite helpful. Have been gluten free for about 5 years. Has helped a lot. This book has allowed me to tweek what I am doing. I donot have Alzheimer's but have two generations who do.

I heard an hour long interview with this author and was impressed and curious to know more. Alzheimer's is a diagnosis that haunts almost everyone today. This book gives a deeply researched look at causes and paths to follow to avoid this awful disease. The author's credentials are excellent and his writing style is not difficult to stay engrossed in. Excellent advice also for those who are already struggling with this diagnosis.

Outstanding book. I bought multiple copies, one for me and my wife, and some for older relatives to pass around in senior centers.

Bredesen clearly describes the causes and what to do about them. Basically AD is your body trying to protect you from toxic modern life.

The book gives hope to older people with mental issues, but think that younger people should read this and change their lives before it is too late.

This is really a guide to live a healthy life.

After reading through the book I was thrilled to learn that this hideous disease can be dealt with. If you've researched at all on the subject I do believe that you will find this book to make complete sense in its solution. I have long believed that the processed foods and inflammation and sugars in our diet have been responsible for this and other problems. I believe you will find this interesting and very informative and most importantly something you can do if you suffer from the disease or you know others who do.

This is a ground breaking accomplishment. I encourage everyone who is concerned about cognitive decline in family members or themselves to read this amazing work, take the recommendations to heart and have a complete blood test, asking specifically for the markers to be included. Had I known about vascular dementia when my mother became so ill, my brothers and sisters may have been able to help me turn her decline around and perhaps she would have lived longer.
Please read this book!

Good info on the various causes of Alzheimer's and on recommended labs for treatment. Treatment programs seem complex and expensive, however. For those interested and able to discern complex medical ideas, this book is useful and groundbreaking.

Don't let the amount of medical and technical jargon scare you off from reading this immensely valuable book. The information in here could be the difference between living a longer LIFE, or only 'existing' for a longer TIME.

Having lost family members to Altzheimer's under close doctor care and experiencing memory decline I felt a need to shift from current medical approach. I have applied some recommendations from this book and experiencing significant improvement in memory, noticed by others. Hope for a brighter future I will remember. Highly recommend!

If you know anyone with dementia or Alzheimer's, read this! Hope and purpose are great gifts to people who have been given, essentially, a death sentence by the medical establishment. My dad is thriving in the beginning stages of the ReCODE protocol, simply because he knows he is working toward his own healing. Thank you, Dr. Bredesen!

Awesome science in service to those suffering from a devastating illness. Heralds a new type of medicine ("functional medicine") that is the wave of the future. Implementing all of this book's recommendations will, I feel confident, change my life and preserve my maximal cognitive functioning (and perhaps restore my occasionally flagging memory).

Why isn't this being heralded as THE major breakthrough in Alzheimer's disease? A clear example of how the system works, when there isn't fortunes to be made on pharmaceuticals and insurance policies then the powers in charge look the other way or malign the evidence. Shame on all of us for allowing this to go on while millions go into the black hole of undignified nothingness.

I found this book to be incredibly interesting with invaluable information with science to back it up. I am heartened that we can reverse, prevent, and restore our brain. Thank you for this contribution to yet another one of life’s mysteries.

A very interesting explanation of why we can't find a one drug treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Bredesen explains that the etiology is different for everyone, involving more than 30 factors, and the treatment must be customized. Unfortunately, until his protocol is more widely accepted, the work-up and implementation will remain very expensive for many people. Still, it offers real hope where there is presently little.

It is thorough and uplifting, giving hope.
We can do something about Alzheimers.
I have watched 16 webinars from many leading physicians after reading the book. Dr Bredesen's information is cosistent their presentations. I BELIEVE WHAT I HAVE READ.

fabulous book - a must read for anyone who wants to prevent - or anyone struggling with brain concerns.
Dr Bredersen needs to know that there is a summary book on sale on the store that is HORRIBLY WRITTEN and has recommendations/statements by a non medical person "Short Read" - very clever name (who clearly did not have an editor read it!) - it really needs to be taken off the market.

This is a great book. There is some repetition, and it could be better organized. I am looking forward to a new and improved second edition, but happy to have the information now. I am also eager to see what happens as further refinements allow for a simpler, less expensive program to be equally effective.

This book has inspired me to “be there” for my clients more than just spiritually. I am now able to encourage them with simple practices to help them better cope with there cognitive decline with hope for “incline.” Peace and blessings to Dr. Bredesen, his cohort of helpers/contributors and all of you readers. This is a beautiful world, let’s enjoy it longer with good mental health!

so refreshing to read , and so hopeful that there are things that we can do that actually work. Sadly, my Dr. did not have any idea of it although she stated that she is at risk for Alzheimers. At least she said that she want to read the book.

Dr. Bredesen is in agreement with other doctors (Dr. Perlmutter et al) that a ketogenic diet can cure many medical problems and even reverse the cognitive decline of Alzheimer's disease. He also describes the tests that can tell someone which of the 3 causal factors for Alzheimer's that they have and how one can then change their diet (and which vitamins and nutrients to take) to solve their problem. He documents how he reverses the progress of what has been considered by almost that Alzheimer's is a non-reversible disease. He also summarises how he and his team of scientists have researched this illness over a 30 year period and have provided hundreds of peer-reviewed studies to support his conclusions.

I used “remember” intentionally. I am 63 and have several friends suffering from brain diseases. My worst nightmare is becoming one of them. I have a good relationship with my primary care internist. I plan to take this book to him on my next visit and discuss RECODE. If you are over 60 and have had a senior moment, this is a must read!!!

I loved the solid research data! Finally a book that gives you actionable information for what I have long suspected wasn’t acceptable mental decline for my age group. I’m going to get myself tested and get on the right track. Peri menopause, difficulty sleeping, changes in gut behavior... all these details matter and affect your brain. What this book does best is act as a literature review of all the different things that affect brain functions and shows how to remediate them for the most part without drugs. Yay!

Dr.Bredesen has done the research and treated hundreds of patients with his protocol. He lists the necessary lab tests and lays out the individualized treatments we need to keep or restore brain health. I thought it was very readable and relatable.
