I should have known not to get anything that says ''supercharged''. I cannot do even a fourth of the things in the book.
It probably is very good for another person but i feel you have to be ''super-well'' at the beginning.

I recommend this good read to anyone considering the South Beach diet. I read this book, used the recipes in The South Beach Diet Super Quick Cookbook and lost ten pounds in two months and my husband lost fifteen pounds. We ate great food and never went hungry.

I purchased this book for my son for his birthday. He believes in the South Beach Diet. I read some of the information in the book other than the recipes. I thought it had some very interesting information! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try the South Beach Diet.

I have purchased the older South Beach books and still use them, but this book has additional information worth reading. I especially love the exercises that are shown in the pictures and the recipes look well worth trying, as I refuse to purchase an online subscription just for recipes. Nice supplement to my healthy eating plan!

The book has good new recipes and exercises. I really liked the new form of walking which I apply as much as I can in my daily activities.
I think that as any book it changes, for better, new styles of eating. When a person reads more her/his thoughts never will be the same; and the book is the company we need and we look for when it is not near us.
I personally go to the book looking for ideas at any moment but; I also know that this support will decrease as necessary then; for me is the foundation to be in good shape for ever.

My God I feel like a nutritionist already just reading this book, I just love speaking to my friends and family about making healthy choices, the ramification of eating unhealthy and a fun way to integrate and make these choices a lifestyle. I never dropped the book from the first day I picked it because each piece of detail and information opened my eyes to a new realization that I could take control of my lifestyle, eating habits and exercise routines. I have used the instructions for three weeks and I have lost 3 inches on my waist and some pounds on the scale, Please men, women take control of your life and order this great book.

Good information in this book. Much like the original South Beach, its only about 110 pages of instruction, and the rest is recipes. So if you're not interested in recipes, you can google the basic idea of the diet, and skip the book.

I read the original South Beach Diet and chose it as my guide for my weight loss program. I lost a lot of weight and so so I purchased thjis edition to supplement my new knowledge of diet and nutrition.

I thought I ate healthy but the last couple years, my weight inched up and even with regular running could not take it off. Well, this is working! The first 2 weeks is a little rough but if you prepare your foods ahead of time, you can do it. It's been about 6 weeks and I've lost and kept off 10 lbs even with a little over indulgence at a couple parties. My husband has taken off almost 20 lbs! We feel better and our clothes are fitting better. I still hope to take off about 3 more lbs but I know it will happen gradually since I'm so near my target weight. Make the change, clean out those pantries and it will work!

I often suggest this diet as a guideline for patients looking to lose weight sensibly. When followed, it works and is reasonably simple to follow. The new exercises are surprisingly simple and effective especially for the beginner.

This book has more healthy living instruction than any book I've come across in a long time. It seems to take the Adkins diet to even a better level, adding in all the information dietitians and medical people have garnered since Adkins. Eat well and be healthy!

The South Beach plan was recommended by a friend so I bought the book. I found the nutritional information useful but I also paid attention to calories. Weight loss is common sense, when you use more calories then you consume, you will lose weight. I do not follow the recipes in the book but when I prepare meals I make sure the ingredients meet the guidelines of the phase I'm in as well as keeping track of daily calories. I wanted to lose 10 lbs and have lost 7 so far. This book is not a "revelation", it's a good common sense resource that forces you to read labels and understand the impact of added fats and sugars.

Well written and lots of recipes, but you must commit. This is not an easy eating plan despite what the author says. It takes a lot of willpower to give up potatoes, pasta, rice, bread, fruit, sugar, etc. even if only for 2 weeks. Doesn't work for me but has many good eating tips and excellent recipes that offer good food substitutes.

Has all the information I needed to get started...foods to avoid, recipes, etc. In fact I made the Moroccan Chicken last night and it was great. We'll see if the diet works, since I've only been on it a couple of days.

I love this book. It offers not only healthy eating principles backed by science, but also an exercise program that helps speed up your metabolism. I have read it three times. Alternating it with some of the other South Beach books keeps me motivated. It is easy to read and the recipes are not complicated when you learn the principles of the diet. Those are that of the Mediterranean diet applied to different foods, so the is a variety of cuisines from which to choose. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a healthier lifestyle. Read it!

If you are familiar with the original South Beach diet, and want some new, more flavorful recipes and inspiration to exercise more, then this book is very helpful. Even if you haven't tried the original version, this plan will get you to lose weight quickly and safely, while improving your overall health. Fairly easy to use, and with a wide variety of choices, this version of the South Beach diet is fairly easy to stick with, even eating away from home.Eating small amounts five times a day means toting more snacks to the office, but the results are worth it!

Several years ago I bought the original South Beach Diet, however, I didn't start the diet until January 2017. Since then I have lost 10 lbs. The diet is easy and does work (I had never been on a diet previously), and is a life-plan, with three phases, rather than a diet. It is easy to follow and at no time have I felt hungry. Supercharged South Beach is awesome! Very comprehensive with detailed workouts for interval and chair exercises (photos, too!), good/bad food lists, menus, and many great recipes. I'm typically, "eat everything raw or plain" on a plan like this, but my daughter is experimental...together, we've tried and shared 7 or 8 new recipes so far - no deprivation plus we still get to enjoy crafting great meals in our kitchens. Many other good recipes to support this plan online, especially on Pinterest. This book tells you all you need to know - the how and the WHY. Addresses weight, but also lifelong blood sugar and cholesterol plans. If anything, it's overly detailed...read enough to get started and the revisit that detail for encouragement and affirmation. You can do this!!! :-)

This book changed mine and my husbands health, two senior citizens, for a far greater good. My husband was on diabetic medication and after loosing 30 pounds the Dr recommended he no longer needed to take any. He is still under the Dr.s care but still no medication. We have used the diet for one year now and enjoy more energy and a better quality of life. So glad our Dr recommended it to us. Everyone could benefit by following this diet. just me
