I thoroughly enjoy the author's down-to-earth faith, devoid of religious politically correct language, and simultaneously truly compassionate with the "salt of the earth". From my perspective, she "gets it", or should I say, gets who Jesus truly is.

Great book, by a really good writer. Could do less with her cuss words interspersed throughout. I think that is the real Nadia peeking through though. I do recommend this book to one and all, thanks!

Nadia Bolz-Weber is amazing! Her perspective on the redeeming Grace and Love of God is awesome. She finds a way to see throught the silly stuff of the modern church and shows us the work of God in the lives of real people. A must read for all Christians.

I was most touched by her Beatitudes, especially

“Blessed are they who have buried their loved ones, for whom tears could fill an ocean. Blessed are they who have loved enough to know what loss feels like.”

I didn't agree with every theological point that Nadia made, but that isn't the point. I found her approach and her stories engaging, and meaningful. I love the thought that God seeks so hard for his lost sheep, that he calls Shepards the typical Church would have never thought of. I love the thought that God can use every part of me, even my junk and imperfections. I found Accidental Saints inspiring me to dive in where I'm at.

What a fabulous reminder that God does not always come wrapped with a bright beautiful bow. Often God appears to us as all the things we would love to avoid, but he loves us too much to let us skip over the opportunity to find his grace.

After hearing Pastor Nadia on NPR, I couldn't wait to get my copy. I was not disappointed and admire the work which she is doing. We would all be better off if we followed her teaching. Her words are the purest that I have ever read on Christianity.

I enjoyed this book almost as much as Pastrix. Bolz-Weber isn't afraid to speak her truth, proclaiming her own humanity and occasional brokenness, all the while proclaiming the gospel, even when doubtful.

Great book that gives an alternative view of expressing our Christianity. It makes one re-assess why we do some of the rituals we do in church and if there are other ways that folks c!an worship. This is not the book for you if you are an Evangelical christian.

Not surprisingly Nadia Bolz Weber manages to bring to life this "earth that's crammed with heaven." It is an earthy read in the sense that she can clearly see the presence of God in the events of life and can articulate this in a way that draws you in.

Great book to shift the understanding of religion in a more personal and practical frame. We need to enlarge how we think of the mysteries and incorporating Bolz-Weber does the trick! Even a Buddhist can applaud.

Must-read for anyone interested in the current state of mainstream Protestantism. Bolz-Weber hasn't gained celebrity pastor status for nothing. Not only is the book packed with wisdom, insight, and humor, it's beautifully organized as a quick read which can be consumed in manageable chunks.

Nadia speaks so honestly about the challenges I have faced as a Christian. I'm grateful she uses her unique voice and perspective to discuss so many topics relevant to modern Christianity. I have recommended this book to many.

This book is is very clear and straightforward. It deals with some hard theological topics, but through real-life situations. It reads like a series of well-written homilies, but seems grounded in her real life experiences. It made me cry in several places because she writes so movingly about God's grace.

I heard the author interviewed on NPR. The interview was interesting enough to cause me to buy the book. I'm certainly glad I did. This from-the-heart collection of stories aligns exactly with the message that I think Jesus delivered. I feel way richer spiritually for having read it. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this book. She challenges Christians to get out of their comfort zone and see people the way Christ would. I need this message because it is so easy to not see hurting people that are in my everyday life. She encourages me to keep alert for Christ's divine appointments.

As a former pastor with a mainline denomination, I was intrigued by The Rev. Bolz-Weber's book. Each generation of the Church needs a particular voice to realign the practice and understanding of 'her' faith. For me, Accidental Saints is that voice. Clear, direct and poignantly humorous, the book preaches truth through the life lessons and struggles of a very human, ordained minister. My thanks to the author and the God of her understanding.

Not QUITE as amazing as Pastrix (which made a huge impact on me) but very similar and still a really good follow-up that I'm very glad I read. Read Pastrix first, since there somewhat of a chronology from it to this one.

Very intriguing book. Most pastors say do this and do that. This story looks into when pastors aren’t confident and all knowing. Readers understand frustration and fear. Nadia tells how she her faith intersects her fears and inner thoughts.

Beautifully crafted language that pulls you into stories about people. It makes you feel invited to sit with them and join their conversation as they talk about life. You walk away feeling loved without realizing you simply read a story. Beautiful.

A beautiful book. If you’ve ever had questions the Church has been unable to answer, like I have, Nadia explains that it’s okay, in fact it’s a blessing. I haven’t cried in a long time, but this book had me emotionally overwhelmed. In a good way.

I found this book interesting at he beginning and less so at the end. The author notes her background is somewhat nontraditional. I also use profanity much more than I should...but mostly for emphasis when I am really angry. It passes and my diction gets better. Bolz-Weber uses profanity for punctuation...all the time...and to me eventually it becomes not a nuance but a distraction.

I am still not sure of the profundity of her message. She relates many event and associations which many pastors and many of he rest of us have encountered. I do not challenge the validity of any of her observations, but I am not sure how much I learned from them.

I liked the author's message. The book is hindered by Bolz-Weber's heavy use of profanity. The English language contains solid nouns that are more civil and create shock treatment that Bolz-Weber her readers (and listeners) to experience.

I thought this book was amazing. I have recommended it to book clubs and have bought several for friends. It crashes through the "us and them" tradition and brings love of God to all. I want more from Nadia!
