Useful when planning a trip to the 49th state. It's huge and there are few roads. Easy to read. Street maps of the most visited towns. Maps of Denali National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park and the Inside Passage.

This publication is better than most that you find in local stores or on the road.
There is more detail and larger maps of specific areas. This is a very helpful tool in
planning road trips in Alaska. One thing it needs is more blow-up maps of smaller cities
than Anchorage and Fairbanks. But it is well worth the money and a valuable companion to a GPS device.

Purchased this map to keep in a disaster kit. Seems to have all the major roads on it, including some newer ones (several cities in my area have recently constructed bypasses, and they're on the map). I always default to a smartphone app for directions, but in the event of an emergency I'm confident that this will work well.

We used this map a lot when travelling from Glacier NP down highway 89 through Great Falls and Livingston to Yellowstone & Grand Teton NPs as far as Jackson WY, and from there back through Idaho to Bozeman MT. It gives enough detail for the long-distance trip, but is less heavy than a map book, which is important when you're trying to keep luggage weight down for air travel. It was beginning to tear easily by the end of the trip, so it would not be very robust for multiple trips. It had no details of Bozeman MT, so we used another map for that.

I was very disappointed with this map when it arrived. At first glance it seems to have so little detail as to be almost useless; however, perhaps after a road trip to Alaska this summer I'll have a different opinion. We'll see.

Even though my son and his wife are totally technically prepared, it's still nice to have a paper map on their travels throughout the country. They camp and the paper map allows them to plan for the day to day trips from place to place.

The rating is NOT a reflection on the seller - the map did arrive quickly and was in the condition as described by the owner. I am not impressed with the quality of the paper used for the map - it is very thin and I am sure it will be ripped after we open and close the map a few times :(

I do not like the fact that they put Mobile on the other side. I had to buy two Alabama maps so I could see all of the state at once. I have both stapled to my wall. I like that you can read it from a distance.

I never received the product I ordered. The company refunded me, but I am a teacher and wanted to use this map for my class and never received it. Dont know if it was the company's fault or the post office, but in either case, I was still disappointed in the end.

If you want a map to hang on your wall, this is great. If you want a map to take traveling, forget about these. After just one trip this map literally is falling apart. It is not made for folding , unfolding and re-folding. Very cheap paper.

There is a lot of white on this map. Hundreds of rivers without names. No clue as to drainage areas on rivers. I would say most maps have more information per square inch than any other printed form. This map has the least information of any map that I have ever seen.
