Power Play (Blades Hockey Book 1)

A very good book. I spent a night relaxing reading this one and am glad I did. It was fun, exciting, sexy, and really funny in spots. What she got herself into only to find out in what she has to do how hot he is. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Wonderful writing and a wonderful story. Charlie's character was a delight, and I found myself laughing out loud through much of the book. That's always a big plus for me. The relationships between all the characters were excellent. Looking forward to more from this writer!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This storyline has substance, it's sweet, sassy and deliciously romantic. I enjoyed Charlie and Duke, loved their witty banter, I look forward to reading more from Maria. I can honestly say I recommend this book.

An amazing love story. Charlie is a struggling sports journalist trying to save her job and has to interview Duke, a hockey player. There is a lot of misunderstandings, jealousy and moments that you just want to shake the characters to stop them making hasty and “stupid” decisions. When Charlie’s boss instructs her to change her story and get the dirty details of his life or loose her position, will she choose her job or will she choose love? Great book, can not wait for another book from Maria Luis. Well done!!

I must admit, romance novels are not usually my go to, HOWEVER, Maria's Power Play left me wanting more. Duke & Charlie completely won me over. Maria had me rooting for the couple from the very beginning and kept me captivated throughout the whole book with her relatable characters & sassy writing. Great read, I can't wait for book # 2!
