I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were so real and the people in the Blue Ridge Mountains so interesting. The parts about Rand and Sarra were very interesting. It made me want to keep reading to see what happens to them.

What a beautiful, well-written book filled with incredible honestly. Ironically, I started this book after I had just come back from a trip where much of this story is placed and the authenticity rang strongly thru the pages.

This is a quick to become fully engaged in story. I wanted to learn more about the old figures of Rand and Sarra and keep up the the modern ones of Jen and Evan. Well written. Filled with trivia. Can't put it down.

Loved everything about this story, in fact it was two stories in one! A real page turner. If I didn't have things to do for the family, I could of finished this in one day, that's how good it was. A must read!

I really enjoyed the complexity of this story, so many emotions were brought in and explained. It's a story so many can relate to on so many levels. Also you can't put it down and when you do it's finished, complete. Ty Lisa, job well done!?

I have always loved history, as discussed in the epilogue this history could have so easily been lost. This book was a great read that at times was hard to put down. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

Lisa Wingate continues to amaze me with her storytelling. In The Story Keeper Wingate tells two tales within one story; both gripping and left me looking for clues to link the two together. Awesome job, Lisa. Keep them coming!

A story within a story...Lisa Wingate is a master at keeping the suspense alive through page after page. I couldn't put it down. Appalachia came alive through its history and characters. I highly recommend this book.

this story will change how you look and feel about your family relationships...life will be better knowing God is always with you...He gives you hope and fills you with His love, joy, and peace. Lisa gently sprinkles just enough spiritual truths in the story allowing the reader to experience God's presence without feeling like you've been blindsided by an author pushing her beliefs on you.
I found myself slipping unnoticed into the story, wanting to stay just a little bit longer each time I read the next chapter...the way she tied up all the lose strings left me very satisfied...the ending fits the story without feeling like a happily ever after, relationships and life is perfect.
Her characters feel so real like they could live just around the corner...they have flaws and learn along the way, some times making mistakes or judging others or hanging onto hurts, unwilling to forgive. Forgiveness doesn't happen all at once nor is it easy to do. Lisa writes with a depth of understanding of life's detours that take you places you don't want to go but need to so you can grow from your experiences...or you can stay in your pothole, reliving each and every (perceived) wrong that others have done against you.
