Faking It (Metropolis Book 1)

I absolutely loved this book! This is the first I've read from either author and I'm definitely a fan. Watching Gary come out of his shell with the help of Travis was the best part. At first I wasn't a huge fan of Travis because he seemed like a cocky jerk but then you see his true self. I love them as a couple. You won't be disappointed in this book!

This was a good book. I loved the characters. The story line is so in keeping with the times that it's easy to relate to them. There were funny times and times where my eyeballs sweated a little bit. Lol. But even though there were tears this book is definitely not intended for readers under 18. I'm looking forward to the next installments.

Faking It was cute, sweet and very sexy. Gary and Travis were great together, they definitely brought out the best in each other. I enjoyed watching them fall in love through their fake relationship. My only complaint is that I felt the story started to fall flat toward the end and I started to lose interest.

Believable, lovable characters with strong motivations who will make you really care about their lives and happiness. Sexy and seductive without being 100% smut (not that there's anything wrong with smut).

Riley Hart and Devon McCormack can write a hot romantic story that just sucks you in! I've loved both books I've read by them and hope they keep coauthoring together! The emotions, doubts, and growth into love feels so realistic. Love, love, love this book!

Wow, I really mean WOW. The characters I this book are outstanding and the problems they face are so real. As you read the book you develop feelings for the characters you cry, laugh, take sides and even yell some more and then start all over again. Great story lots of sex and romance. A must read!

An enjoyable coming together of fake/real boyfriends Gary & Travis. This story has it all: strange man in wrong beds, play acting, strip show, pool party, singing and lots and lots of sexy time. I love it all!

These authors have delivered another fabulous read full if sexy, funny, witty goodness. I liked both MCs but LOVED Travis. Good supporting characters too who i can't wait to hear more about in future installments. Looking forward to many more Metropolis' stories - good thing there's several floors in several towers!

This book is totally worth the time & money. I love the characters and story line. This is my first book by Riley & Devon & I can honestly say that I will buy & read more books by them both separately & together. You can not tell it's two authors coming together in one book. It's done flawlessly.

These authors are hit or miss with me but this one is a total hit.

Finally! A story about people and not some crazy jazzed up life or death junk. Just some excellent loving and making your way in the world. i really enjoyed it, I like your writing style. Characters grow and are engaging three dimensional characters WOO WOO!!! Nice steamy bits as well.

This book deserves the higher star rating. So many do not.. It's well written and believable. I understood the characters and didn't find myself rolling my eyes or irritated over inner dialog that's lame or redundant. It's sexy, has a few chuckles, and some good heartfelt scenes. I recommend it:)

This story was so realistic showcasing how guys really talk and think. It was like a soap opera or 90210 with every body knowing each others business in the complex. This was such a fun read. I loved this book and its my first time reading these two authors. Hope there is more to come

Two awesome characters that have more in common than each realize. Travis comes off confident, out and proud. Gary is shy, no self confidence, self depreciating,and closeted to his family. Together they work, compliment each other, but trust is hard to come by.

The characters and story were totally captivating. I liked Travis and Gary. Their whimsical meeting and developing relationship worked. It was just a fantastic read and leaves me wanting more and looking forward to Book ll.

Another hit from this author. I loved the story line, the character development, and the characters. Gary and Travis were so good together and I loved everything from their meeting to the end of the book. A must read for fans of M/M romance.

What a great read this was! The characters were witty and cute, plus there was a great plot going on here. I hated the ex and wish there was some bad juju that happens to him. Love how they get together and their journey to happiness.

This is a wonderfully written story about Travis and Gary first getting together and overcoming obstacles in their personal lives and together and how they run away from each other only to come back. Wonderful story!!!

This book was everything I expected it to be. The characters were wonderful and the love story heartfelt. I cant wait for the next book in the series and with si many single friends it could be endless...yay!

I liked this book because the characters were learning about themselves. This kept the story interesting. It was fun as Travis learned why he did the things he did and how he brought out the best in Gary.

This was a sweet, easy read with fun, likeable characters. It had a cute little rom-com plot and though mostly comedic and lightweight, there were som very touching moments too. I felt invested in the characters and cared about their outcomes. For the type of book this is, pretty much perfect.

I totally cried for half the book, soooo amazing. I really want more Gary and Travis! It ender perfectly, but they are so awesome together I can't help but want to cry encoreee please. Love you ms hart!

After a bit of a clunky beginning, this book took off. Hot, sexy scenes between the two MCs, Travis and Gary. I enjoyed how their relationship grew from a fake one to a real one and how Gary began to come out of his shell. Some of the side characters seemed to be there mostly as a set up for later books in the series. In all, a fun read.

I love this series!!! The characters are so real and relatable. There's enough drama that keeps you worrying about what may happen without it being angsty or feel like there won't be a happy ending. Please write more! Would love to see a Book 4.

Faking It is a sexy,funny, insanely hot, emotional and 100% entertaining story of two people who start a fake relationship and fall irrevocably in love with each other. This book gave me a fun filled emotional ride and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What is so amazing about this book is that the story is fun, sexy and filled with loads of laugh out moments and yet it is also poignant,emotional and heart tugging. Travis is fun, cocky, sexy and is sure of himself. He is determined to make his own way in life and is focused and works hard for it. But he hides a deep emotional side and a hurtful past and as the story progresses we unravel the hidden facets of his personality. Gary is insecure, hurting and a little lost when he meets Travis. But Travis brings out a different side of his and gives him the confidence to be who he really can be and under his influence and care he thrives. Their relationship starts off as fake one but turns into a real one soon. Their journey to their happily ever after is not smooth but filled with issues which they solve together. The story also shows the personal growth of characters and how they become the people they are supposed to be and find their happiness. What I loved is that the authors has managed to find a balance between the fun and sexy elements and the emotional one. Their chemistry is explosive and the sex is dirty,raw, kinky and insanely hot. And their emotional bond and relationship is completely heart touching and endearing. The authors have created two characters who made me fall in love with them and their story.

Faking It is the first book in the Metropolis Series and I'm utterly besotted with this book. I can’t wait to read the next one. Highly Recommended.

This story revolves around some serious trust issues and acceptance of the way people are. Travis is trying to get a loan to open up a massage parlor. He has a striving business but he travels to people's home because he lacks the funds to start a business. He comes from a family with money and has a trust fund but all was taken away because his parents found out he was gay. He has built up his business alone and stays away from his parents. Gary has trust issues because his last partner of five years had cheated on him repeatedly with another guy in there building. Travis and Gary hook up and have a friend's with benefit set up. Travis looks like he's in a really stable relationship and Gary is sticking it back to his ex. Grab this book and see what this couple will go through.

Beautiful story of this series. I couldn’t expect anything better.

Love is hard to find, especially when you try to run away from it. That’s not the case of Gary, he loved and then he was betrayed. He was not expected to find love again, but life had another plans for him.
Travis didn’t believe in love, but Gary woke something in him that not even him couldn’t shut down.

Beautiful love story, can’t wait to read the next.

I laughed out loud so much throughout this entire read, the comedy and just realness to the friendships is so believably well written! This story draws you in and makes you see and feel all that is going on with all the characters. You best have a good portion of a day set aside once you begin reading this one, because this is is a can't get enough type story that you will not be able to stop once started. The love between friends and boyfriends is so real you can't help but fall in love with this story. Can't wait to read books 2 and 3!
