Love following Lisa on facebook. She has such wonderful ideas and recipes. When I saw this new cookbook was coming out, I had to get one and it didn't disappoint! Love that she is a local Charlotte gal!

Pages 57-70 were in the book backwards and upside down. Anyone else have this issue? If I didn't live outside the country, I would attempt to get a replacement. Even with the mess up, I still very much enjoy it.

Lisa Leake is such a great example of responsible balance. You won't find difficult recipes or exotic ingredients; what you will find are solid, realistic, yummy options for families that want to cut out processed food. I love that none of it feels too extreme, and I think it's this factor that could potentially help a lot of families. My only negative is the index says her slowcooker chicken is on page 103, but 103 has a recipe for crab-stuffed avocados. Hopefully I'm just a dummy and missed it while perusing all the awesome recipes.

I should also mention this is more than just a collection of recipes. The resources located in the front of the book are so valuable (meal plans, shopping lists, templates, food storage, where to buy, etc). Lastly, the photos of her family sprinkled throughout are really endearing and bring the cookbook to life.

This cookbook and the author's previous one are both so good. The recipes are easy to create, with ingredients we've all heard of and probably have in our houses. Most recipes are new and not repeats from her blog. There are so many I'm already planning to make! I love her delivery of information and approach to eating a real food diet. She makes it look easy and shows it really can be, even with children. I've been following her blog for a while now, so some of the information in the beginning was redundant. But, still great information to have presented in an easy to understand manner. There's no judgement here, no pretentiousness. She's realistic about what real life can look like. This is sure to become a favorite cookbook around here!

Just like the first cookbook, this one did not disappoint! I have made several recipes and my family liked everything. I love the layout, recipe pictures, and the personal feel of the author's family pictures.

Even though I can get millions of recipes online it is nice to have something like this packaged together. I am a working mother of 3 so anything simple that helps me plan so I resort less on more processed options is great. It seems there may be some printing/organizational issues though. A number of recipes refer to "chicken broth" on pg 103 but when you go to that page it is Crab-stuffed Avocados. I was not able to find "chicken broth" anywhere in the book either. Overall not a huge deal because I can find many recipes for chicken broth on my own.

Loved the first book, and loving the second. Already marked next weeks recipes and put together my grocery list. Lisa had consistently published real, every day food with ingredients I have or am familiar with. Her blog is amazing, the first book was life changing and the second looks like it will continue our family's journey towards eliminating processed foods and changing our lives. Lisa proves she is just a normal person, who realized how to eat healthy . I am SO GLAD to have found her! We hardly ever eat out now, we prefer our food, knowing where it comes from, and the increased flavor from fresh local ingredients! Thank you a million times Lisa!!!

Fabulous cookbook!! These meals are easy to make, and have no complicated, hard-to-find ingredients. It also has pictures of every meal (a personal requirement for me). Love, Love, Love it! Good job Lisa Leake!

I have enjoyed the new cookbook especially this busy Christmas week! While I often refer to the blog for recipes, I had not tried the The Kale, Sausage, and White Bean soup and it is a new favorite (a great way to get kale in for the week). It was an easy, healthy dinner to enjoy with my family visiting. The slow cooker shredded pork and bean tacos paired with the lime and cilantro coleslaw were a hit too. Prepared earlier in the day and ready for us when we got home from looking at Christmas lights. I have the first cookbook and it's my go to for many meals. Both cookbooks have a great variety of recipes and look forward to incorporating more into our meals, snacks and lunches. Great job!

Great resource for getting started on a real food journey with the family. I appreciated the chart that categorized recipes based on food allergies or diet restrictions like nuts, gluten, and dairy. So far my only complaint is that there are several cross-references between recipes, but the page numbers don't match. I've already marked several recipes with corrected page numbers so I have an easier time navigating while meal planning and preparing.
