A great change to read historical MM. Loved it. Keira is new to me, but it won't be my last read :) This book had it all; the characters, the descriptions, the romance, the intrigue. Enjoyed it tremendously!

Somehow, this author managed to revive the common bodice-ripping tale of being kidnapped by pirates, and turned it into something fresh, actually somewhat plausible, and absolutely delightful. I foresee many hours spent reading all of her novels, and it will not be time wasted.

Recommended. Hawk and Nathaniel are both great characters and the relationship that blooms between them is believable and sweet. Add in a dash of swashbuckling and you got yourself a story that is engaging, sexy and endearing.

The title gives the impression the story will be nothing more than pages of cheap sex. It's not. Well developed and diverse characters, thoughtful motivations, and the thrill of being plundered by a pirate is seated in the emotion of the MC, not the sex. Though that's carefully written, too. The resolution uses too many quick fixes, but the net result surpasses the expectations of a low budget novel. The reader is kidnapped by pirates, too.

What's not to love? Beautifully executed May- December romance with a throwback to a classic romance feel and plenty of steam. Pirates, disfunctional families, sea battles, and lovable characters. Yep, hit all my buttons!

This was my first historical mm romance and this author sure delivered! It’s written well and keeps you guessing. Of course there is a good amount of steamy scenes as well. You won’t regret buying this book!

I hadn't considered gay historical romance before a couple of reader friends started talking about this book. I loved it! Drama and comedy in equal parts along with a great love story! All the sexy times were pitch perfect and blazing hot!!

The constant up and down of the captain and nathanial, it was tantalizing. The end can be hit or miss in such a book, but this was home run. Action, danger, tears, love and happily ever after. I can’t get enough.

Sexy pirate Hawk, his heart hardened by unfortunate life circumstances, is surprised when he starts having genuine feelings for his young captive Nathaniel. My favorite Hawk bit, "He tried to discern the warmth flowing through him, an unfamiliar sensation that wasn't lust or triumphant satisfaction. It was...Good (expletive!) God, he was charmed!" :)

A very organic story. Very thrilling, but with an adorable lead character who made me laugh more than once. A satisfying ending that leaves me happy and wishing I could read more about the Hawk and Plum.

This was the first Keira Andrews book I ever read and boy lemme tell you.... I LOVED IT. Not even that, this was the first historical romance book I ever read and it sparked my love and interest for this genre. That's how good it was. It had just the right amount of angst, just the right amount of fluff, and just the right amount of steam (and oh boy was it ROUGH sometimes) to melt your heart away.
Both the MCs were lovable and their internal struggles in accepting who they were and who they were attracted to were very compelling and relatable. Sometimes we want things that just aren't viewed as right by society, but if we are not harming ourselves or others then why hold back? I loved that the struggle in the relationship here was not forced like it is in so many of these gay romances, but based on legitimate fears and duties and circumstances. I specially loved the evolution and character development in both MCs, they came a long long way from where they started.
I seriously do not have complaints or if I did have any it was so very minuscule that I forgot about around the fifth time I reread the book.
Seriously guys, this was so good that I initially read it on KU, then went ahead and bought it and even bought the audible narration. That's how much I loved it. Totally recommend this.
