This book is super insightful and well written. Doug Wead is a master story teller. I am amazed at the intrigue and details brought forth in this book. The facts check out, but I am amazed at how much of this stuff is covered up by the media.

Great chronological path to the White House and how it was lost. I would have liked a play-by-play on election night. And some insight on what kept Trump voters from giving up hope in the light of so many pundits saying a Hillary win is inevitable.

Loved this book. Could not put it down. The author does a fantastic job of breaking down the election on each side while relating back to each candidate's past to help you understand how they got to present day.

The book is a thorough examination of how flawed Hillary Clinton was as a candidate. There is a laborious rehash of all the old scandals the Clintons went through, and the more recent ones too. Still, if you're a person who is already up on all that stuff, there's not a lot that's new in this book. But for younger people with no memory of the Clintons in the 1990s, or millennials who don't read newspapers and are not up on the deep background of the candidates, it's a useful book.
The long record of Clinton corruption, evasion, deceits, and vengefulness is probably worth dragging into the light. While the media's tolerance for outright corruption in Hillary Clinton might be astonishing, the voters had a much lower threshold for that. The Clintons really did set a whole new disgusting standard for selling out American interests for their own enrichment.
All in all, the author lays out the whole lamentable tale of Clinton corruption, nastiness, and deceits thoroughly.
Makes one glad she lost the election.

Doug Wead is a republican, but his journalistic documentation with all the footnote documenting the CLINTON's is simply astounding! Scary to think half of OUR COUNTRY wants/wanted to elect CLINTON 2.0.
Trump has flaws. Wead does give some Trump campaign information, which in interesting but the subject matter is most compelling.
Simply put, the Trump victory is the biggest upset in Presidential political history. It's as biblical as David vs Goliath. Tyson vs Holyfield. TKO for the ages....

This book gives just enough detail to understand how Trump appealed to the "forgotten man" and what went wrong in the Clinton campaign. A great read for all who were excited about the 2016 election result!

Whether or not you like this book depends on your level of political knowledge. If you are a political junkie and have been following this stuff for years, you will find this book to be a repetitive yawner, nothing new or insightful. (Did Paula Jones actually pick up that hundred dollar bill that was dragged through a trailer park?) You'll also notice the sloppy editing and research. The Mariel boat lift happened in 1980, not 1994. During the Republican convention, nights were devoted to "Make America Safe Again" and "Strong Again," not "Make American Safe Again," "Make American Strong Again."
However, if you have been hiding in a psychic bomb shelter the last thirty years, and just woke up to the political world because of Trump, then this is your book. All the dirt on the Clintons, the rise and fall and rise of Trump and company. Everything you need to know on why the political landscape is so screwed up. So if you're a veteran politico wait for a more specifically insightful dish on the Hillary and Trump campaigns. If you are a neophyte, jump into this tome fully clothed.

I enjoyed this book. A lot of the information was very well known. But what I truly appreciated is how well the author showed the naked collusion between the vast majority of the media and the Clinton's dating all the way back to the early 90's. They should be ashamed. But I know that is asking a lot of people who sold their souls long ago. I think this book should be read by people who cannot understand what happened in the election. I was never a Trump supporter but the blatant one sided reporting tended to drive people toward alternative news sources and the blame for that can be traced to the arrogance of the corporate media and the Clinton campaign itself. Has the media learned anything? No. They are up to the same garbage still. There is a reason people don't trust them!

What a great author with neutral insight. Doug Wead is the person to read when wanting truth about our Capitol. I was mesmerized all the way through reading this book. I broke it up into segments on the Clintons' escapades as it is mind-boggling recalling all the questionable/illegal things they have been party too. Learned more about the Trumps and the refreshing values of a family man.

In a word... Disappointing.
I decided to buy this book after seeing the author on Fox and Friends talking about it, and while it was well researched and entertaining, I ended up feeling a bit betrayed, disappointed, and a tad bit angry. Why? Well if you saw the interview with him talking about the book, you were left with the impression that he would give the "inside scoop" on what transpired on election night behind the scenes in the Clinton camp. Not only did it not even discuss that, the entire events in the book built up to election night....And then just completely skipped right over election night and ended the book with his winning. ? Personally, I don't think I would have bought this book if he hadn't referred to the Clinton tirade and meltdown on election night.

Excellent book. I just loved reading the inside scoop of how Hillary blew it (thank goodness) and Donald Trump rose above it all to become President. He is an amazing man. I always believed in him completely, now after reading Game of Thorns - even more so.

Doug Wead has captured history once again! For those who supported Mrs. Clinton, this book simply reveals the facts behind the why she didn't win. For Mr. Trump it shares a story that has never been seen before in presidential politics.
