This book got me through a total hysterectomy and years later bought it for my friend's cancer. I am not religious and this book does not profess to be as such. It is simply very true what Dr. Siegel says because as a pharmacist I have seen many patients whose positive attitude makes them survivors instead of victims. Thanks Dr. Bernie !

As someone with newly diagnosed prostate cancer, I found Bernie Siegel's book to be extremely helpful. Many people do not realize that surgeons are like mechanics. They know their field but often do not tap into the wholistic approach. It is very important to use every available resource to help the patient recover: spiritual, emotionsl, diet, exercise. If the Dr. tells the patient that he is going to die, and he/she believes it, you've taken away the hope that might have saved a life. There should always be hope.

I have purchased about forty copies of this book to give to people I know who have cancer. It is a very inspiring book, most helpful for cancer patients! I recommend it highly! I always ask the recipients to "pay it forward" too, by sharing it with others in their same situation. I believe that this book saves lives!

There are few books that make that kind of impression on my, but this book continues to be a valuable reminder of how much control we really do have over our ability to heal. I have given this book to anyone I knew who was going through a bout with cancer or other challenging health issue, and many people have agreed that the information it contains has been powerful and uplifting.

I discovered this book in 1989. Almost every time I go back for a refresher, I remember I gave my copy to a friend who seemed to need it. Again. Read it with an open mind and you won't believe how its ideas transform you.

My younger sister is battling cancer and this book provides me with insight. I loved most that "cancer" is a word, not a sentence. Dr. Siegel promotes the living process, and does not believe in a dying process. He gives you so many tools with which to battle back.

This book has some really great ideas to help someone who is greiving the loss of a loved one. I want to keep the book that I have and use it for a reference guide when I might need the info it in to help me get thru a difficult time.
I did not agree with all of his ideas, but there are lots of wonderful ideas in the book. My sister has cancer and also has lost a loved one, so I mailed her this book knowing that it could help her get thru this troubled time.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is sick physically or emotionlly.

I'm a cancer survivor. A mastectomy was done recently. Love, Medicine and Miracles helps me a lot to understand my feelings and the importance of feel at peace and to have the right actitud. Even though my body won't be the same again, I have to love myself and enjoy this second opportunity of life the Lord is giving me.

Quick download to my Kindle. Wonderful book to read whether you are a patient suffering with a chronic illness or a caregiver, you'll find lots of practical advice and wisdom "outside the box" of traditional medicine within its pages. I already had this book in paperback but the print was rather small. By having it on my Kindle, I'm able to enlarge the FONT and make it so much more enjoyable and practical. - Pat in NC

Disease involves more than the body...the mind is just as much involved. I am recovering from toxic mold and chemical sensitivities and reading this book helped me start to turn around my health issues.
