If you have read any of the previous installments in this series you know exactly what to expect with the fourth book. Kong does a great job of keeping the series fresh and avoiding letting the story get bogged down. The characters keep growing and changing in new and satisfying ways; while the world gets bigger as well. Overall another well done book.

richter shows no growth as a character... he started out as an immature schmuck & thats what he still is. every now & then a few lines are thrown in that supposedly show hes affected by some mess hes made, but its transparent lip service. the supporting characters are just cardboard cutouts that get pulled in occasionally to be impressed by the head schmuck.

i liked the world space, though & thought it had promise.... not to mention the shadowy "Powers" in the background, but that seems to have been discarded in favor of gratuitous pages & pages of boring cut & paste stats gains for schmucky richter.

only read half of this book before dumping it & wont be shelling out for anymore.... what this series needed was a decent editor

I hardly ever rate any book. I seriously implore any avid fantasy reader to pick this series up. The characters are believable, not cliches and just the level of detail in these books is enough to bring tears to the eye.
Dungeon Born (The Divine Dungeon Book 1) :: The Land: Swarm: Chaos Seeds, Book 5 :: Forming the Company (Alpha World Book 2) :: The Runaway Queen: The Bane Chronicles, Book 2 :: Eden's Gate: The Sands: A LitRPG Adventure

A very nice, fast paced read. I will definitely be following future books in this series. It has plenty of action and adventure and the artwork above the chapter titles gives you a feeling of progression as you read the book.

Definitely the exact kind of books I was looking for! I normally don't enjoy 3rd person view literature, but after page one of the first book I couldn't stop reading. Next I knew I was on book 4 in a week! I love this series and can't wait to see what Ritcher, Alma and Sion get into next ?
