Broadcast 8 returns to "basics"--the action, characters and storyline that several years brought me into this saga. The slow emergence of the Triton promises further excitement, war looms in the future --the days of "Deploy, Dominate, Disappear" are not far away. We learn more about the Rangers, there's more action than previous installments and the core characters all make appearances. There are additional characters that bring spunk and gusto....new warships (perhaps)...and the true enemy is revealed. The first punches are thrown....and we're ready to fight.... Great book and you don't want to miss the next installment. Lalonde is back on his game.

A wonderful story that ends with just as much development as it began with. Lalonde is a masterful storyteller who has done a great service to his characters and readers. I look forward to the next installation -- and that level of engagement is noteworthy.

This installment of the Spinward Fringe series is as good as the first book. The characters are well developed and you can't help but to feel like you know each one personally. I definitely recommend this whole series to all who enjoy a good space opera. Randolph is a master.

Furthering the story of a great sci fi universe intrinsically of endless possibility. I've read dozens of series in the last 20 years and the Spinward Fringe stories are among the few that inspire me to remember parts and characters of stories past. You keep reading to find out what happens but you also feel like an observer or historian. Great read as expected hope someone offers this guy a 10 season show!

Broadcast 8 does not disappoint. The worst part of the Spinward Fringe books is my inability to put them down. I would Suggest this series to anyone who enjoys sci-fi. If you start at the beginning you'll be hooked.

I loved this story series until the last 2 books. Mr. Lalonde, I am very disappointed it how you let this beautiful saga of adventure, exploriation and putting things right, desend into this chaos of randomly important characters, and events from no where. These unnecessary things that you put in that had nothing to do with where you started or where you had the ability to go.....

I had looked forward to the new Broadcast, but found it disappointing. There was not enough action. The plot was not well-developed. The story skipped around too much. This author has done MUCH better with previous books. Hope his next is back to the quality of his earlier books.
