This series is very well written and keeps the reader in suspence, waiting for the next book. Nicholas Flemel has never seemed so interesting. In a world where magic and alchemy collide, each of these books will recapture the readers attention and keep them on the edge of their seats.

This book produced new twists and turns that pulled all the other books together making it a truly enjoyable read. The ending was unpredictable but not disappointing. Kept me on the edge of my seat eager to move on to each new chapter! I loved it!

The conclusion to the book was absolutely mind blowing. I don't think that anyone could have guessed the final plot twist. Yet, it seems so obvious in hindsight. The ending itself was worthy of 5 stars.
So why did I only give it 3 Stars?
*Spoiler Alert*
It still felt like much of the book was just filler. In fact all the fighting in San Francisco seemed unnecessary and pointless. The important battle was on Danu Talis. Another really annoying thing was the killing off of so many Elders on Alcatraz. Why are these powerful, immortal gods suddenly so easy to kill? Who really believes that Odin and Hel would sacrifice their own lives just to protect some humans in San Francisco? Mars would push his Aura past its limits and burn himself to dust? That was totally unrealistic.
Kudos to the author for doing a great job managing different time streams. Allowing Prometheus and Mars to fight both the battles in the past as well as the present was a neat trick. I tip my hat to him for making it *work*. I just wish that the book did not have so much padding.

This was a fun, interesting, and at times scary series of books, I just read one after the other, loved her strong character and her love of Nicholas. Michael Scott is an author that can take you through a story and make you feel like you are part of it, so the whole series was an adventure of reading that was much fun!

The Enchantress (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel) explores the previously unknown spans between reality, fantasy, and imagination, blending all into a tapestry of awesome action, incredibly realistic characters, and the best twists I've ever seen in modern fantasy. A book that somehow contain something for readers of all ages and tastes. In summary, a modern epic as amazing as any mentioned within.

Although The Enchantress had just as many fantastic plot twists as the rest of the series, the conclusion felt rushed, incomplete, and left me with some important questions unanswered. This book was all action with very little to tie it all together. Where's the epilogue, the denouement? Is writing anything other than a fight scene really that boring for Michael Scott?
After becoming so invested in the characters over six books, I feel cheated.

This was a nice book culminating a well written series. I personally have always had a soft spot for this genre of books and the way the author brings in a lot of historical stuff is well done. The writing itself is good and doesn't leave one frustrated. However just remember that it's by no means a masterpiece or classic with important ideas and new thoughts to be had. Just a nice little piece of fiction to entertain you

This whole series has been sort of fun, but certainly is not great literature. It was 'geek' joy-ride, something to read after 'Harry Potter' fun. Two things that kept jabbing at me the whole series:
1). Michael Scott just LOVED dropping the names and/or making apperances of EVERY SINGLE monster, god, goddess, witch, warlock, legend, myth whatever that has ever existed. He might have left a few out, but goodness, even into the final chapters oddly-spelled entities just kept showing up! I am not a monster geek, but I am sure that many readers had to stop every three pages and do a web-search for all the info on the the newly arrived monster, or god, or goddess? Or wrote then all down as they were reading, and then spent the rest of the night doing all the web serching. It was a fun journey meeting ALL these characters, but was so endless, and seemed too unrelentless, as that was more important than any real story-line?; it did keep a smile on my face the whole series. Not a real problem, but was just happening every other page(in ALL six books!). (And I was SO relieved that Jesus, or Buddha, etc. didn't show up!)
2). Scott has his 'Ping-pong' style of writing. I have never come across it anywhere before. The start of one chapter often is before or at the same time as previous chapters. He has SO many things going on, and of course things are happening in all the different places at the same time, so I guess this is one way to do it, but I got dizzy, confused, and always felt I was watching a VERY fast Ping-Pong game of sorts. This final book takes it to the extreme. By this volume, we are almost used to it(?) and once underway, realize that the whole book will be sometimes tiny chapters, and five or six in a row are all happening at the same time. But just wore me out. I needed to often stop, and rest, and go back, and figure out who did what when, and put the ping-pong vollies into perspective.
The whole series has been a fun read, but again, NOT literature. Glad it is over, happy to have read it and met ALL those myriad monsters and myths, but a tad dissapointed with the ending. So many charaters died so easily, and SO much is unexplained, and JUST DOES NOT make sense. As all this time travel is possible here, it covers up the need for Scott to have to make any real sense out of many things that happen at the end, including what I guess is supposed to be the BIG surprise, that just sits so stupidly for me. No spoilers, but how did so and so become so and so, and just what did in fact happen, when did all the other events really happen, and what was the point of the whole story after all? I might read the whole series one more time, and see if makes any more sense, and then the 6 books will go on the 'dead-book' shelf, or on the web for sale.
Could have been worse, but could have been MUCH better?

I look constantly for books my grandkids would be interested in and this series is a sure winner. I started collecting the books and wanted to have them all, so I have a complete series now. I think your teens will love each book!

Ties together all the separate threads and timelines into a spectacular climax. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and getting to know these larger than life characters. Loved the surprises. Well worth the read

This series is, by far, my favorite of any fantasy series I have read. Not only does it have magic and beautiful, almost unimaginable worlds, but also a twist on historical legend and folklore, including figures immortalized by their real life achievements like Joan of Arc and Shakespeare. Just finished it and I already want to re-read it. Highly recommend this series to all ages.

This may have been my favorite book in the series. I pray a movie is made from this. My 10 yr old daughter (a bit of an advanced reader) loved this series and although we had originally bought the paperback version of this book at a library sale, decided this would be the first series she loved so much she would go back and read it again and again. Therefore, I got her the hardcover. She has already gone back and referenced it a a few times as she continues to introduce her friends to the series and enthusiastically discusses the details with them.

I love the Nicolas Flamel Series being turned on by my grandson. I like to know what he is reading and this series is wonderful. The Enchantress certainly did not disappoint me at all when I read it. It is a book that I shall probably read over again and again. This book was absolutely enchanting and attention getting. It kept me wanting to read the next time.

The final book in the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. The story lines draws you into it that you can put it down after you start. Michael Scott has created a master piece with this series.

This is a great book series that is overall pretty much pg-13. It is very suspenseful and is great for a relaxing read. I would recommend this for anyone who loves mythology and action. I'm actually sad that the series is over but I hope that others will read this series and enjoy it as I had. :]
