This series us enticing. I have read the first two books and can not wait to read more. Very entertaining. Magic suspense mystery and I think a little romance may be coming in book three. Time to go find out

I enjoyed these books. There were a few omissions in the first nook that made the story jump around a nit, however the author did improve and the stories flowed better. The first book was probably the worst, but persevere and you will end up with a nice little fantasy series.

In my free time, I enjoy reading a book that draws me into the world the author creates, and thus, I was pleasantly surprised by the Courtlight series. I look forward to reading more books by Teruh Edun.

I was unsure at first if this series would entertain me. But it did; I just kept wanting to know what happened next. What trouble would Ciardis Weathervane get into next? The first 3 books take very little time to blaze through. I enjoyed it and will be reading the rest of the series soon.

This series by Terah Edun has been a really great read. My only bad comment is because it is self published there are a lot of grammar errors and spelling mistakes in these books. My suggestion is to have someone else proofread the books a few times BEFORE publishing them.

This 3rd book in the series was the best so far! I love that Ciardis and Sebastian finally realized that their feelings were more than just friendship.Plus I can't wait to see what happens when the Weathervanes make their debut in the Imperial court!

Awesome series! I was stuck to this series for a few days! I just couldn't stop reading them. I am profoundly impressed with this author! I was not expecting to find such a good story line, with suspense. Very intriguing! I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Honestly. I downloaded this series because it was free and I had spent a little too much on previous reads.

I am in love and can't wait to spend my few dollars on each other other installment so I can continue my journey!

Not a trilogy for those wondering. I now have to decide whether to purchase the next couple of books. They are not expensive (like $3-$5 or something) and I did enjoy the books other than a few infrequent typos. I will probably buy them.

I happened upon this set of books while browsing on the store and was very happy with the story line. It is completely different then anything I have read in the fantasy genre and very well written, can't wait to read the next set of three books.

I had high hopes for this series based on the rave reviews, I am glad it was a free because I would have been embarrassed to pay for this book, the plot is so incredibly scatty, I must do this mission, oh look shiny things..... what was I doing? oh yeah mission, look! puppies! hmm what was I doing? Oh well? I love the prince, he betrayed me I hate him , he's horrible but I must work with him, or maybe abandon him for more shiny things? hmm what was I doing? I must save my long lost brother, after I go sledding, what was I doing? Oh yeah my brother, or maybe he betrayed me or was betrayed, and and and

I was going through a list of books, and accidentally stumbled upon it. I am so glad I did! This book is a fantasy lovers dream, and has twists around every corner. I would definitely recommend reading this set of books.

This series was a pleasant surprise! I am an avid reader of many genres but was in the mood for some light fantasy when I downloaded the series. What I got instead was a well thought out and written story that kept my interest all the way to the end of book three and left me wantIng to start book four right away. Be prepared! You will not put this one down. I like the way that from a simple Cinderella like beginning tHe story moved with the main character as she encountered new challenges and found her reality totally changing. There is magic, there is intrigue, there is politics, there is fighting and there are politics. Just when you think you are getting a handle on things, something unexpected happens and the intrigue grows. I highly recommend the series. Try it! You will thoroughly enjoy it. Kudos to the author.

Can't wait to see what happens next to Ciardis. What will happen at court? Still can't believe she found out she isn't the only Weathervane, she has a twin brother and her mother is still alive. WHAT?

orphans, kings, emperors, princes, guild, friends, family, all kinds of creatures including dragons: magic, mystery, good guys bad guys, guys who don't know if they are good guys or bad guys... love, passion, jealousy, drama, war, peace, hate, monsters, etc... it is a giant romp in a fantasy world.... charming - with a lovely heroine antagonist.... and one cannot be quite sure about the protagonist because it seems to be continually changing - but it seems to be the emperor.....

The author writes in less than high school English. Her stories might satisfy twelve year olds. Honestly I'm shocked at the good reviews, I have to think they are because people were getting the book free. The magic system has no rules or limits, the characters are immature and flat and there is almost no description of things or environment other than the color.
Just poor work. B- maybe.

I 'bought' the boxed set for free. I got what I paid for. Terah Edun has a great imagination, and with a good editor, she'd have some terrific stories. She gets 3 stars from me because that's the average of an almost 5 star storyline and a 1 star grammar line.

The books almost read like a first draft, though I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Ciardis, our heroine, is an orphan and grows up scrappy in order to survive. A Companion comes to town and takes her to the Guild to be trained as another Companion. The training fell flat in many areas, Ciardis was always being told to watch herself, but no one ever explained HOW or WHY she needed to act, only that she needed to change. No one really explained to her (or the reader) what a Companion was, either. A Broodmare? A 'Trophy' wife? Someone to accompany the highest bidder to the ball? A Helpmeet? Lots of hints but nothing concrete. She reads the dossiers of her 'suitors' but what is she looking for? And why?

On her 18th birthday, her magic powers come to fruition. She is a powerful mage, and again, is not given the training she needs, just told she needs to behave herself.

Outside of the grammar mistakes on nearly every page, the biggest problem for me was there was no cost to any of the mages for the use of their magic. Only the Prince Heir, at the last, paid a price for his magic. Magic was so freely used in these stories it became, well, mundane.

There were characters introduced who disappeared, characters I would have enjoyed seeing more of, especially the dragons.

A lot of action, but not all of it explained well. A lot of Ciardis acting like a snot-nosed brat, a lot of her going off on her own. She doesn't grow much, and she doesn't pay much of a price for it. Oh, she's on the death list of someone, but we know she'll survive.

Some romance, but not a novel of romance. Ciardis, the orphan discovers she has a brother, and then discovers her mother still lives, but has lived while hiding in plain sight.

If you like high fantasy, don't mind some of the plot holes, and can deal with the grammar errors, I'll recommend this set, especially at the price. I think this author has a lot to offer, especially if she teams with a good editor.

Meh...

Started out interesting--went downhill. The protagonist (Ciardis) has too many powers and is too whiney. As the series progresses, she gets whinier. Ciardis doesn't really solve her situation or problems either. They get solved for her by others.

Too much other good stuff out there for me to continue with this series.

It was a nice long book, taking more than a day to read. However, the spelling, grammar errors and forgotten words were really annoying. Terah has something here, it needs a bit of polish to be a good book. I won't buy the following books.
