Excellent book. Very informative and eat to read and understand. The author makes very good point and his techniques are easily applied to real world situations. This is not a diet book. This is a easy to apply lifestyle and heathy eating book. No gimmicks and fad diets. I have lost 20lbs in 2 months and I eat! I never feel starved or craving anything.

very informative. helped me calculate how many calories i should be eating and found out i wasn't eating enough. also wasn't getting enough protein. If you are not committed to getting the body you want, you might find this to be on the boring side, but it's straight to the point and helpful. i would recommend this to anyone who wants to lose weight, gain muscle or both.

This book is amazing! Tom doesnt expect perfection and undesirable starvation! I had been starving myself with only 1700 calories a day, and yoyoing up and down with results. Now I'm on my third week of toms plan eating 2300 (only 200 cal deficet)calories a day with only about 85% compliance of "clean eating" and exercise lost 1lb last week, 5% body fat and 2 inches on hips thigh, and 1 in waist! In one week! Slow loss=continuous results=no yoyo=no starvation!

I can not say enough good things about this book. I say this because it works. I have tried everything (no, everything). The reality is that there are lots of different way to get to lean with different diets, but all of them involve creating a calorie deficit. I realized that here was a road map that I didn't need to invent - I just needed to follow it. If you focus on goals, create a calorie deficit with diet and cardio, and then commit to lifting, you will achieve the the same that I did (as well as thousands of others who talk about their results online).

This book do not promise any quick solutions. It promises only hard work. This book do not give you recepies. It gives you guidelines. It gives you instructions how to understand your individual body, how to customize nutrition and training to your own goals.

This book educates you. The rest is on you. But Venuto also motivates you and explain how to stay motivated. How to put yourself into correct mindset. Motivation is nr. 1 subject, second is nutrition and only next are cardio and strenght training.

Good source of information - if you want to change your life style. Probably inside top 10 books in Body sculpting category.

I purchased this book because I wanted to see what updates were made from my previous version. This is the only book you need to look and feel your best. I used Tom's previous version to complete my own journey to reach my desired results. I felt amazing not only because I was loosing the body fat and gaining muscle, but how much fun it was to see the results as it was happening.

As we all know, there are countless amount of books out there for weight-loss, but in my opinion, this is the book that sums all of those up. This is your human performance book.

Love love love this book. Ive encorporated these principles and have already seen the difference as well as others ask me what im doing, ive written down this book for them. Life changing. I also have it in audible so i can really absorb the wealth of info during my daily commute, and feed my subconscious when i sleep. Best book, cuts thru all the B.S. and really gets to the heart of nutrition and health. Ive done atkins, Weight Watchers, Jackie Warner extreme (not practical or healthy i now know) diet, Got confused between doing all cardio and then no no only weight training, then realizing the keys to success thanks to this book. I thought I already knew enough about nutrition and fitness but still bought this book thinking it could not hurt to try and learn more. I am glad I did.

Tom really nails it. He covered everything I had heard before (and then some) but tells you how to properly apply it. He also explains the "why" behind advice I had heard but never understood. It was great to find such a breathe of knowledge covered in one book.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a complete beginner's guide to nutrition, losing fat and gaining muscle.

In the past 7 years, I got all my information from the internet. I had not realized that this book contains 100 times better and comprehensive information than the hundreds of internet articles and youtube videos. This book debunks all myths (and explains the reasoning behind why those myths are incorrect scientifically). I have followed this philosophy since past few weeks and have lost 9 lbs of fat (and retained muscles). My body fat % went down from 20% to 17%!! I can see a visible physical change on myself.

I just wish that I had bought this book years ago. It is truly life changing!

First of all im so much thankfull that i found that system since 2004 back in the day from the very first ebook edition of the book which transformed not only my body but also my soul and mind and propeled me to become the person i have never thought i could be possibly at least in this life time on earth lol
I used to be chubby all my childhood and teenage period time and was feeling like ots not possible for my genetic to have a six pack and if i wanted to have one all i need is steroids option! Don't be intimidated by the perfectly lean physiques on the cover or even by the title! This book is for ALL walks of life and perfectly adaptable for each person's individual needs. There's so much more to "losing weight" that Tom addresses in this book and so many other so-called programs miss entirely! The first and foremost point to consider is mental training and conditioning your mind. The right mindset needs to be established first. Then comes the nutrition (uncomplicated and NOT a diet!!!). And then he gets into the weight training and cardio. Ladies, you NEED weight training!! We should be much more afraid of the fat than gaining too much muscle. Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle has an amazing online community so you are NEVER doing this alone (it's what Tom calls the 5th element). The information in this book has the capability to get you in the best shape of your life. But a warning: once you read this book you will be a changed person. You won't have to diet again, or buy into expensive programs. You are being given the driver's manual to your very own (lease-free) vehicle; YOUR vehicle, not someone else's. This book is really great in explaining everything about how to loss the fat and keeping it off. I really like all the tools you get that helps to motivate you and keep you on track. Since the last day of July I have been using the tools to track my fat loss progress and found this really works I have loss 21 pounds of fat with very little muscle loss. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that really would like to understand how the body works in the battle to loss the fat. I would also recommend the weight loss Guru scale to assist in tracking the type weight of loss.

Really great book! Tom Venuto has a no nonsense approach to losing fat and gaining muscle. I really like the fact that his approach is not extreme in that you don't have to cut out certain food groups to succeed. The book has a lot of information about nutrition and goal setting. Can be slightly complicated to get all the steps into action but I feel way more educated about my own body after reading it. Also, I have been enjoying the weight lifting program!
