I love this series. It is light romance reading but keeps you reading to find out what happens next. The writing is very well done and the author captures so many emotions in a very thoughtful manner. I find that the recurrence of characters makes you feel as though you know these people and have some understanding of their histories and personalities. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys reading this genre.

The central issue for me was the Mother/daughter relationship, I am a Mother and would hope for my family I have inspired love but not dependence. The theme of waking up 40, and panicking that some "life dreams" have passed one by is a good one. Society does emphasize to young women that they "can have it all", but reality and priorities can change, which at times is hard to accept. The concept of using an artists cache of colours and shades was interesting, but at times I found the use of this a little labourious.
An enjoyable read at times a good one.

Grace did it again. I have loved everything she has written. Being from North Carolina I connect to her stories. Grace has the talent to draw you in. I could feel the sand between my toes as I read. A Must read author!

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but could not get into it. There was just something lacking - nothing pulled me in. The story line and characters were average and predictable. Never really picked up speed - the plot just stayed slow. Nothing about this book really stands out, so if you are looking for memorable or remarkable - keep looking.

Loved the quote from author, Grace Green: “Beach Winds confirms the power of love. Love is not a matter of book for genetics. Love is a blessing wherever you find it and should be tended as if it were the most delicate seedling, yet shared as freely as the most common plant. Like the dune grass that helps the dunes withstand the ocean and weather, so are we to those we love.”
“The timelessness of the ocean, the universe of nature, and life in all of its moods remains in winter, different only in terms of who is observing the scene – what they bring to it and what they take away and what they keep secret.”
Having read “Beach Rental” some time ago, was delighted to read “Beach Winds”, as almost forgot about Julia/Luke (characters from the first book) and her story. I really enjoyed this book as one of my favorites of Green thus far, as have read them all. This series is full of takeaways for many reasons and is really a contemporary historical women’s fiction, a romance, mystery, inspirational, and chick lit combined into one book.
There is much to be said for the NC coastal area as so serene and a tranquil place for reflection, escape, and growing. Hopefully, we will hear more from Mia/Joel, and a continuation of Laura, as well as Fran/Brian, and Will. These characters need to live on for a few more books!
Frannie is a complex character, asserting her independence as matures so much throughout the book, as well as Brian. An inspiration read about forgiveness and new relationships. This can be a standalone; however, would encourage readers to read Beach Rental first.

The story started out really well, but the last 3rd had sections I had to read 2 or 3 times to see if I missed something. It seemed like there were lines missing from the paragraph/page, which made it hard to understand what was happening. If it was supposed to be cryptic, it didn’t work. Then the story ended with a lot of the sub-plots unanswered. Maybe they’ll be answered in the next story, but it left me disappointed after reading Beach Winds.

I am never disappointed with ,Grace Greene's novel. Each one is better than the last. Her characters spectacular and weave their way into your heart. I find myself unable
to put the book down. There is always romance and a touch of suspense.

Grace Greene never disappoints. I hesitated with this series of three books, however, because I'm not one for cutesy beach romances. But her prose is strong and there's always an unexpected twist in her stories--I saw this one coming, but it was still a good read.

Grace Greene really knows how to tell a wonderful story. She brings the characters to life, you feel the heartache and the surprising things that life can bring the. Wonderful way she brought two sisters together after several decades. Would recommend story to everyone, can't wait to start the next one.

Easy read and Ms Green develops her characters nicely. Frannie's personality evolves as the book progresses as she becomes more self aware. Brian sees the real Fran over time and she is what he needs to let go of his past. They both help each other to find happiness.

Another great story by Grace Greene. I was excited and very impatient for her to realize what Uncle Will was trying to tell her. I don't want to give the story away, so I explain that statement further. I loved the characters.
